Another Winner from Robin Bielman.
I Loved Danny and Olivia’s story a best friends/Fake relationship trope I think they didn’t realise just how playing pretend could turn into wanting it to be real instead.
Olivia had been away living in London were she met Will and had a whirlwind romance only to find herself pregnant and Will not wanting to be a part of it.So with her pride in tatters she flies back to the U.S and seeks out the help of her best friend Danny. Her surprise Pregnancy would not go down well with her mother. There is alot of issues between them, and so she asks Danny to Marry her.Thinking it would make her Mum happy and maybe stop resenting her.
Danny is dealing with a health issue, and won’t commit to any relationship because of it.He is also just settling into a new small town and starting a new buisness. He also wants to buy the house he is living in…But his landlady only wants to sell to a family so he agrees to marry Olivia and play pretend to the outside world.
But they find themselves incredibly attracted to one another and unexpected feelings start to surface between them.
I really enjoyed the back and forth between Olivia and Danny…they were so playful one minute and then hot and cold with one another the next. They frustrated me at times I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to get in on..lol..I whooped inside when they did..
Robin Bielman always writes such endearing characters and heartfelt stories…Danny’s condition surprised me and I felt so bad for him and emotional.
I was intrigued throughout this book wondering what would happen to their friendship Robin’s storytelling just had me in its grasp…and they sure did pull on my heartstrings.
This is such a Sweet,Romantic ,Sexy and emotional book that charmed me from the very beginning until the end.
Loved it and I Highly Recommend it.
5 Stars.
The Audiobook is Fantastic and riveting and Reagan West is a Superstar, her narration is Brilliant.I Listened to the whole story in one day.
The Best Friend Bargain was a cute best friends to lovers read. Would you do anything to help and protect a friend? Would you married her and claim her baby as your own? Danny was a great hero. He was funny, sexy and very caring. He wasn’t perfect he had his moments and his self doubt but those flaws made his character come to life. He felt real. I could relate to him. Liv was sweet, but maybe a little careless in a naive sort of way. She asked a lot of her best friend and didn’t think much past her fear of what her mom would think. She was impulsive and tended to do before thinking. She was also playful, caring and very likable. Her and Danny had good chemistry and there was some major sexual tension going on. I loved that their love had a build up to it. Some times with the friends to lovers trope authors tend to rely heavily on the friendship and jump to insta-love. So I really liked getting to watch their relationship develop. I liked the all side characters. I also enjoyed the plot and flow of the book. Overall a cute quick read!
