Nana knows how to write the middle of a story to perfection! And this Book really ups the ante and totally leaves you wanting more! Can I say how much I can not wait to see more of the London Lords? Although I am thinking Ben is my favorite I really hope she continues on within this particular group of testosterone! This Book is everything I love about a good book, suspense, steam and romance! I can not wait to finish up this trilogy!
So after the last book, I was so glad it picked up where it ended but it felt to easy and not enough of suspense for me. Hence why I didn’t like the ending of this book? I don’t want to give it away but I wasn’t happy with it at all. I liked how much growth Ben and Olivia had in this book. They may fought the attraction, mostly Olivia but this forces to Ben to admit his feelings and what he really wants in his life. Him and Olivia making working in the office fun and sexy. I swear, I don’t know how Olivia gets anything done with Ben always tempting her. She is determined to finish her mom’s book and find out the truth even if might hurt people. I have this theory about who is involved with this but I’ll keep it to myself. I did like how she started using his full name instead of Ben. I felt like this was showing how close they were getting and that the love was growing between them. It was great to see how well she got along with his friends and how she could benefit the cause. While I loved this book and can’t wait for book 3, I’m taking points off for the ending. It just annoyed me a lot.
Heartfelt emotion, heat and hi jinks abound in this stunning continuation of Ben and Livy’s story. Ben and the London Lords continue their endeavour to dismantle The Elite. Livy delves deeper into the legacy and mystery left behind by her mother. As she works to ferret out more information, she entrenches herself further into dangerous discoveries. Another staggering cliffhanger has left me waiting impatiently to see what unfolds for Ben, Livy and their friends. Enjoyed every moment of the twists and turns of this sexy, fun suspenseful story.
Compelling read for the middle book of the Trilogy!
This is probably one of the heaviest plots that I’ve read from Author Nana Malone to date. With ‘The Benefactor’ being the middle book of the See No Evil trilogy, the plot is thickening, more characters are coming into play, and plans for strategic moves are being put into place. What began in ‘Big Ben’ as Livy wanting to carry on her newly deceased mother’s writing project, and Ben and his mates wanting to take down the people and the organisation responsible for their friend’s death, ends up being something akin to two trains barrelling towards each other in an out of control crash waiting to happen.
Ben is starting to see players common to both investigations, and he’s not sharing the knowledge yet, because it seems to terrible to comprehend.
With each new set of books released, Ms Malone pulls together plots that keep my interest fresh, and she does this all with her usual witty class and enthusiasm that I absolutely love. It is also a bonus to meet recurring characters from past series who have been drafted to help Ben and the crew reach their resolution.
These guys are privileged, cocky and so very loyal to each other. And being in such a close friendship, there were some hilarious moments where those friends inconveniently put themselves into Ben’s business to help him out whether he needed it or not. That is what friends do, and I really hope we get to see more of these guys in the future.
Then there was that gobsmacking cliff-hanger ending, and Ms Malone is the only author who I will consistently read knowing I have to wait longer for the ultimate prize; the conclusion of the story that I am desperate for. 4.5 stars.
The second book in this trio doesn’t dissapoint! Ben and Olivia are new favorites and we continue to get the best reuion of our favorite Royal families. The talent Nana Malone shares with us keeps us on the edge of our seats to find out what’s next. And the ending keeps me clutching my pearls!!! When is the finale out? Anxiously awaiting whats gonna happen.
Benefactor by Nana Malone. Nana does it again with book two. She drew me in sven deeper into the story. All the mystery and suspense that she dies so well keep me turning the page wanting more. I love Ben and Oliva. I love when they’re in the midst of loving each other and she calls him Bennet. Love it!!! It really seems to fit who I picture him as. Yet again I’m on the edge of my seat. August is too far away.
The excitement of the See No Evil Trilogy continues in The Benefactor.
Liv is running for her life; but is it The Elite after her or is she getting too close to the truth in her investigation of Caroline’s death? And while Ben has sworn to protect her at all costs, his efforts to dethrone the Van Linsted’s starts to take shape; but he can only succeed with the help of Team Winston Isles. (Most of…) the gang is back in London to help the London Lords in their pursuit of revenge!
The Benefactor does not disappoint; the thrill continues, the action intensifies, and the chemistry between Liv and Big Ben will melt your e-reader!
The Benefactor is book two in Nana Malone’s See No Evil trilogy. It cannot be read as a standalone.
Intrigue abounds as The Benefactor takes readers deeper into the London Lords’ plan to steal the Canary Jewel as they make their bid to swing the vote for the new Director Prime of the Elite. Livy also dives deeper into the research as she works to finish her late mother’s book based on the disappearance of a friend.
The push and pull between Ben and Livy is super intense. Both have secrets. Booth are also afraid to admit the depth of their feelings for one another. But, they are so good for each other. She makes him feel settled while he supports her to chase her dreams.
Readers will love the appearance of Team Winston Isles. I mean, how can the London Lords plan a jewel heist without turning to Prince Lucas for guidance.
I will say that even though this book had action galore, it did feel like the pace was a bit slower than book one to me. Maybe because it’s book two in a trilogy so you know the “big” reveals are not really coming until the final book. That being said, there were plenty of secrets spilled along the way to keep readers interested in the story.
And Livy . . . good grief! Who is and isn’t trying to kill her? And why? Is it related to Ben? The Elite? What she found on the flash drive? The research for her mother’s book? A combo? It’s driving me nuts that I can’t figure this out! She is like a cat with nine lives and I am terrified for her and for Ben who will never forgive himself if her luck runs out and he wasn’t there to protect her.
Of course, The Benefactor leaves readers needing more right now, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come in For Her Benefit! 4 stars.
Wonderful to catch up with Ben and Olivia in this second book in the series. This story starts off where the first book ended and it was great to get to read it. Ben and Olivia are absolutely wonderful characters. This story has it all suspense, action, drama, and mystery. I loved the storyline with these familiar characters. I have become invested in the storyline and want more, this story has my attention.
After the heart stopping finale in Big Ben there was no way of knowing what was in store for our couple, Ben and Olivia. But as our plot thickens and secrets come to the light we know things will get a bit more complicated for Ben & Olivia testing their bond in many ways at once. We discover secrets from Ben’s past and we get to know a bit more of what is going on in the Elite, but for some only more questions will arise with these discoveries. While Ben is trying to accomplish his goal, Olivia is trying to finish her mother’s book and she is untangling the web of information that her mother gathered. Is Olivia really in danger because of Ben or is there more to disappearance of Caroline that she can see. Things are too complicated for just the London Lords to deal with so the call on some old friends to help out. Team Winston Isle London to the rescue.
No spoilers =D, but this is a story that will keep you at the edge of your seat and when you reach the end you will must certainly want more right away. Packed with action, romance, secrets, unexpected twists and turns, and more villains than you can see Ben & Livy’s story is one you don’t want to miss. Can’t wait for the conclusion of this story. Enjoy!!
Firstly, this is very definately book 2 of 3. You will need to read all 3 for your HEA. That said, I’m loving Ben & Livy. Their interactions & Livy’s sassyness make it a pleasure to read. Can’t wait for the final book.
The Benefactor is the book 2 in the See no Evil series. Book 1 Big Ben left us hanging by a thread of what? Book 2 start right where book 1 left off.The mystery and intrigue of the book continues to grow. The chemistry between Ben and Olivia continues to shine brightly as they open up themselves to each other. I can’t wait for book 3 For her Benefit.
Blurb:

My money can buy power, control, access. Even oaths of loyalty.
The one thing it can’t buy is her…or her safety.
I vowed to protect her…

I can’t, under any circumstances, fail again. In order to save her, I’ll have to give up the one thing that I value most—control.
The Canary Jewel is the key.
Tonight I am no longer a billionaire.

Arc received for honest review
The mind of Nana Malone is a wonderfully twisted place!!! I would love to see how she comes up with all of the twists and turns in her books. The Benefactor is no different (in a good way). Just when you think the ride couldn’t get any wilder, the mind of Nana Malone reminds you that it can. Part 2 of the trilogy picks up right where Nana left us. Without giving away too much, Livy does her thing and her and Ben attempt to move on. While The Benefactor is in the same universe as Nana’s Royals series, it isn’t a royals book. However, we are treated to a good majority of Team Winston Isles joining in the mischief. The gang’s goal is still the same: take down the Elite. The cost however keeps growing and the Team are pushed in to a corner. Oh and there is still the fact that it is unknown if the attacks on Livy are related to what they are doing. The Team proceeds with the plans and goals under the cover of enough protection to protect an city of people. Except the Team let their guards down. What impact will that have on everyone? Well thanks to Ms. Malone, you have to wait as see! While I hate cliffhangers, I must admit, Nana Malone always makes them worth it! The world right now is crazy, The Benefactor is definitely a great escape!!!
The action started from the first moment and it never slowed down. Loved it! I love all of these characters and the constant excitement. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I’m glad the wait isn’t long!
The Benefactor by Nana Malone is the second book in her steamy suspense-filled See No Evil trilogy. Picking up where book one, Big Ben, left off on a crazy cliffhanger, this book immediately puts you in the danger seat. Liv is running for her life, Ben is unaware she is in danger, and you are on tenterhooks in the first couple of pages. The book is told in dual POV and not every chapter is as high tension as the first (or last) but the slow-build of the conspiracy of The Elite and the story of Liv’s mother’s that she is finishing writing all lead to one dangerous place (I assume) and we will learn just where that is in book three, For Her Benefit. Nana Malone has fast become a lust-read author for me. Her writing style and delivery is one that I mesh with well. Loved this, even with the wicked cliffhanger that takes us into the final book. Enjoy!
If readers learn anything from Book 1 in the series it is to expect the unexpected. I am trying to keep this review spoiler-free as possible. However, I will say much like Olivia you might want to take a few notes along the way. Also, I wanted to have a quick little “chat” with our beloved main couple particularly Olivia (Girl, what are you doing?). At this point, I am suspicious of anyone until proving otherwise. Lastly, to the author that cliffhanger was so rude and I demand an apology (Kidding … maybe). I am looking forward to seeing how things will wrap up in the final book of the series.
Ben and Livy’s story continues in The Benefactor. It is full of mystery, suspense, secrets, revenge, intrigue, twists and turns and explosive chemistry! They didn’t know who to trust, so they bring in some of the Winston Isles Royal characters to help! Ben and Livy are the perfect couple! It they can survive all the people out to get them they’ll have a great future! I love the See No Evil series! Book 3 can’t get here soon enough!
The Benefactor by Nana Malone is book Two in the See No Evil Trilogy. This book continues the story of Olivia ‘Livy’ Ashong and Ben Covington, so you really should read the previous book ‘Big Ben’ first before starting this one. Ben and his fellow friends of Lords of London are still out to get their revenge for their friend Toby. But Ben is working to protect Livy along with making her see that she belongs to him and with him. But Livy hasn’t has not had a easy time trusting men so she is not so easy going with the trust but they are building to that moment. I can’t wait for the next installment in this Trilogy called ‘For Her Benefit”. Page turning read for me!
Nana Malone, I love you, but right now I hate you. I kept trying to go to the next page on my kindle, but there was no next page. You are a cliffhanger queen. And you wear your crown well.
This book is chock full of danger, mystery, fun and dangerous escapades and let’s not forget the sexcapades.
A definite must read, but if you don’t like cliffhangers, wait until the trilogy is complete to binge read them.
This is the second book in the See No Evil Trilogy and Ms. Malone has kept the blood pumping with this one. It is not a standalone and picks up where the previous book, Big Ben, left off. From the first paragraph, you will get swept up in the drama and intrigue that has pursued Ben and Liv as someone has broken into the loft that was supposed to be safe and secure. Ben has promised that he would get a jewel, the yellow canary, to get the vote he needs to make the changes to the Elite’s hierarchy and unseat the current family who has held the helm for too long. However, in the process, he has not told Liv the truth and they had a bit of a falling out. Ben is not one to give up as Liv will always be his but she is all about her independence. Can these two make their relationship work? This is one fantastic storyline and it does end in a cliffhanger. The characters are well developed, it is full of action and the pages seem to turn of their own free will. It is one book that readers will not be able to put down. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to see what this author has in store for these characters.
