16 years ago Lindsey Hanlon went to Camp Clemens and fell in love with Nick Kincade but she left that summer with her heart broken.
Now she is escaping from Texas and her ex-fiance Brett Matthews and returning to Langley Park where she once felt safe and the only place Brett doesn’t know about. Yet nothing prepares her for seeing Nick again and the memories it brings back.
Nick is now a pilot and is shocked to see Lindsey again and the shell of the person he remembers. He can tell how much pain she is and knows he must work at gaining her trust back.
As Lindsey and Nick come to terms with their past will Lindsey’s immediate past come back to disrupt any chance of happiness?
This is another great book in the series and I really enjoyed it!
My heart broke for both Lindsey and Nick after camp and how everything ended unintentionally but I completely understood why Nick had to leave.
I was shocked a little at how Lindsey ended up in the situation she was in but I gave her so much credit for finally being able to escape from Brett. I was glad that she still had her godmother, Rosemary Giacopazzi, to help her get settled in Langley Park.
Nick had endured his own difficulties growing up and I was proud of him for following his dream and becoming a pilot. I liked that he took it further when he realized he wanted a home base now that he was getting older.
It was obvious how much Nick still cared about Lindsey from the moment he saw her. I liked that they began friends again and things progressed but I wasn’t surprised at Nick’s reaction when he discovered her secret. I was extremely happy when they worked through it all and where things were headed.
Things started getting intense beginning at the airport and I knew what was coming but I had no idea how everything was going to go down! I loved how it was revealed on why Brett knew so much as I wasn’t expecting that at all!
The end was so intense and gripping!! I loved how it all went down and I liked how Lindsey found strength in herself!
The epilogue was great and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!
This is book three in the series about Nick and Lindsey and the story was simply amazing!! I absolutely love this series, and each one just keeps getting better and better! The writing is so raw and real that you feel like you’re the characters from the story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. If you haven’t started this series, you are totally missing out.
I just love second chance novel. Nick and Lindsey’s story was a great one. The struggles that Lindsey went through and over came was heartbreaking. I loved how Nick was patient and understanding with her. A great book.
Lindsey and Nick were camp counselors when they were 16, but they weren’t friends right away. Nick had a chip on his shoulder because of what his mom planned on doing. Lindsey was there visiting her aunt Mrs. G. They formed a bond but something happened and they never saw each other again till much later. Lindsey was hiding from her ex that was abusive and Nick just moved back where they ran into each other. Nick and Lindsey run into each other a bit and are hit with many unanswered questions but when the truths come out Nick just wants to love Lindsey forever but things don’t always go as easy as you’d like.
I love second chance romance stories. This is my first book by Linda Sandor. Once i started reading it , i couldn’t put it down. We meet Lindsey and Nick at summer camp at Langley Park. Lindsey didnt think to highly of Nick. Sure he was cute but be has a chip on his shoulder. One night they finally get to know each other and fall in love. Fast forward 16 years later. They are both back in Langley. Both starting new. These 2 have hurtles to over come but they work it out. I enjoyed reading this book.
At first I was t sure if I was going to like Nick. Seemed like a jerk. As I got more into his and Lindsey’s story, I started being on board. Once they left camp, I was sad their young love was spilt. Fast forward life and they cross paths again. Starting a new life, they come back together. I loved the relationship with Em and all the other support. The pregnancy cravings had me laughing too!
The Beginning of Home follows the story of Lyndsey and Nick. As teenagers they meet at Summer camp as leaders, both sent there by their mums. Both have problems at home, Lyndsey’s dad has left her and her mum and starting a new family with someone else and has cut Lyndsey out of his life. Nick’s dad beats his mum and she is trying to get them away from him. With everything going on in their lives they find each other and promise to make things work between them. But life events happen and they get separated, only to meet up 16 years later. But things have changed and Lyndsey is not the same, she’s a frightened she’ll if the person she used to be and hiding a secret from Nick. Really enjoyed this book and the characters. The first one if this series I’ve read so am going back to read the first 2 in the series.
I absolutely adored this well written, romantic story. The characters captured my interest and sympathies and the plot maintained my fascination til the end. A great author and a lovely series.
Wonderful Small Town, Second Chance, Suspenseful Read
I did not expect this, how Lindsey’s past is twisted into the Langley group. The twist was unexpected and good. Lindsey story of survival is amazing, it’s beautiful seeing her finding her self worth and opening to an amazing second chance with Nick.
This series is so good! I’m so happy Krista introduce me to Langley Park.. I have to say, I’m so so ready for Sam and Zoe!!!!
I really enjoyed this book. It had me laughing and crying and wondering when the bad abusive ex would show up. The two main characters were great and had a connection you could feel and wanted to cheer for.
I stumbled upon this book and it is an amazing read. It really is one of second chance love but also deals with issues of domestic violence that is real situations people go through. It was an amazing read. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
Omg what a beautiful 2nd chance love story!! Lindsey & nick meet at a summer camp at 16 years old fall in love but something happens!! Years later Lindsey is running from an abusive relationship and she’s pregnant she runs back into nick but she’s not happy to see him after their time before. Will she forgive nick! Beautiful story!
The Beginning of Home, Nick and Lindsey’s story had me reading day and night! It had me hooked from the very first chapter and I couldn’t put it down, I needed to find out what happens! Even though this wasn’t the first book I’ve read by Krista Sandor I did read the first book in the Langley Park Series and thought that was an amazing book as well. I can’t wait to read more of the Langley Park Series.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I’ll be reading the other books in the Langley Park Series and her other books. I found this book to be a fast paced, easy read. It made me laugh, cry and want to kick some serious ass. I found this book very difficult to put down. I loved that Lindsay was a strong heroine. She didn’t give up when her ex came to retrieve her from Langley Park. Instead she let him get what he deserved and she got her happy ending. The epilogue was my favorite.
OMG!!!! This book blew me away! The complexity of the characters Lindsey and Nick are mind-blowing! This book has the right amount of angst, drama, hope and love. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it! This is a must read!
Great story. What an amazing topic to touch on. Beautifully written. Love conquers all. Love nick and lindsays story.
The Beggining of Home is a lovely story about secod chances, starting over, fanily and friendship.
Lindsay and Nick met while teenagers working as counselors in a summer camp. They love each other but life separates them before they can plan ahead. Each other struggle and then life puts them together in the same place they met. It was a bumpy road but they manage to work things thru and find their happily ever after.
This books contain hard and delicate topics but they are handled in a very conscious and respectful manner.
I was pleasantly surprised by this story of a second chance love that almost was. Nick and Lindsay experiences young love when they were 16, but life ripped them apart before they really had a chance at life together. Fast forward 16 years to Nick and Lindsay starting separate lives over in the same town. They meet again, sparks fly, anger and confusion on Nick’s part and fear on Lindsay’s push them apart, then Nick’s stubbornness kicks in to make him realize that he’s being given a second chance at life with the only girl/woman he’s ever loved. Nick pushes Lindsay to open up about her past and begs for a chance at the love he felt with her so many years ago.
This story was full of suspense, worry, drama, and romance. I managed to finish it in an afternoon and would love to see what happens for the next couple in this series.
She has finally got away from her abusive partner but she is carrying a secret which could get her killed. She is a new town and she meets her first love. Can they have a new chance? Can they overcome the secret she is carrying? See what will happen
