Isabel has spent her life being scolded for having her head in a book. If only she could find a way to help everyone around her understand her love of reading. She has no choice. She must bring books to her village. Even if that means braving the wrath of the Beast of Blackmoor. If Isabel is ever going to get her subscription library running, she must risk the ire of the infamous man—and the … the owner of one of England’s best libraries—and demand he help her build her book collection.
But the Beast of Blackmoor has little intention of anyone gaining access to his precious library. This demanding young woman will not be getting her hands on his books…or anything else for that matter. Particularly not his heart…
However, when Isabel finds herself confined to this mysterious duke’s house, with only the knowledge of his dastardly deeds for comfort, she begins to find that it is not only his library that interests her. Aided by his kindly servants, she learns of the circumstances behind his beastly reputation. Maybe, just maybe, he is not so beastly after all.
When danger in the form of Isabel’s unwanted suitor darkens his doorstep, the duke must choose. Is he truly a beast or can he be the man worthy of love after all?
The Beast Who Loved Me is a sweet, clean, fairytale novella of 25,000 words.

The Beast Who Loved Me: A Fairytale Retelling- Regency Fairy Twists Book 2)” by Samantha Holt is a tale of one Isabel Beaumonte..a dedicated book lover who has spent her life being scolded for having her head in a book. Can’t folks just understand what books mean to her?!? Perhaps a library for her Village would change things…for the better. If only the Beast of Blackmoor…a fearsome devil of a man…who although in possession of one of England’s best libraries …refused to share a single tome. The Beast of Blackmoor considered his books too precious and rare to lend them out or even to share a few select ones to assist Isabel to build her own book collection for lending to the villagers. Infamous and infuriating that’s what he was thought Isabel….if not for his kindly servants she’d have given up entirely! But the more she tried to reach him…the more he himself ..not just his library intrigued her. And when a storm brings them even closer…hearts begin to change. Will the Beast lose his heart?!? Will Isabel gain her library?!? Read and see!!

Quick yet highly entertaining, sweetly emotional and engaging journey….. was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed the cast of charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable chemistry.
Oh my, this is the retelling of my very, very favorite fairy tale! I can never read it enough no matter how it is redone and Samantha Holt does an amazing job of bringing it alive and making my heart smile!
Isabel was determined to start a lending library for the village. Books meant the world to her and she believed everyone deserved the chance to read. She was going up to the “Beast of Blackmoor’s” estate and ask if she can borrower some of his books. It was told he had a vast library and she wanted to see it so much. He was a Duke that had become a recluse after the death of his wife.
But Isabel ended up drenched in the rain on her jouney and tumbling into thorny bushes so she was a mess when she arrived. To say the Duke did not want to let her in was true, but his housekeeper and butler pushed him and she was taken care of by the housekeeper. Just “fall in love with his Grace. I’m sure it would do wonders for him.”
Loved the servants and the determination of Isabel and watching the melting of the Duke. A wonderful, heartwarming story that I could not put down until the end!
Book two in the Regency Fairy Twists series a take on Beauty and the Beast, it is well written and a story I enjoyed reading. The story centers around Miss Isabel Beaumonte and Duke Wilde who has earned the name of the Beast of Blackmoor for things people believe happened in his past. There is drama, a cocky young man, Wilde’s trusted servants, and romance.
The Beast Who Loved Me is book two in the Regency Fairy Twists series and each book is a standalone fairy tale retelling with HEA’s. As you can tell from the title this book is a Beauty and the Beast retelling and is about Isabel and Wilde. This is a quick read and a great addition to the series. I look forward to reading more Regency Fairy Twists.
Isabel went to the Beast’s home for the request of him to donate books for her for the people of the village to be able to check out and read. The Beast didn’t want anyone to disturb him. But then Isabel shows up and everything he knows is thrown out the window. Will Isabel get her books? Will the Beast get this beautiful girl to love him?

A historical romance with elements of the Beauty and the Beast cleverly woven into the story. It was well written and an enjoyable read and Wilde as the “Beast” was especially well done I thought. The story is clean and sweet with a happily ever after (it is a fairy tale after all!) although I did wish it was a little longer and more in depth.
It’s still a fun story to spend a couple of hours with though and well worth picking up on Kindle Unlimited, which is where I read it. Although part of a series, it is standalone. If you like clean, historical romance this is a good read.
As of writing is available on KU.
While Isabel’s father is away on business she decides to visit Blackmoor Abbey to see if the reclusive duke will give her some books for the library she is trying to put together for her village. She had heard the rumors about the Beast of Blackmoor, how he had killed his wife and that over time and his grief he was now a hideous monster. Isabel didn’t believe those tales.
Wilde is content to live his life with just the companionship of his butler, housekeeper and footman. It’s all he deserves after what he did. It was his fault his wife was dead. He deserved the life he now lived. But Isabel’s forced stay at his home after she is injured is causing him to feel again. And she is not scared of him like everyone else. She shares his love of books and the longer she stays, the more he wishes her to remain by his side.
Can the Beast of Blackmoor win this beautiful woman and have her remain at his side?
This is a fairly quick read and a fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Good book!

This is such a beautiful cover on this book. The yellow makes you think of sunshine which is appropriate because that is what Isabel brings to the castle and into the Duke’s life. The story is based on the fairytale Beauty and the Beast. It is a joyous story filled with fun characters. Isabel wants to start a library and heads to the castle to get the Duke’s help. When she is hurt she is encouraged to stay by the castle’s eccentric staff. She uses her time there to entrance and grow closer to the Duke. Despite someone trying to tear them apart they are able to reach for the sunshine.
Starring Isabel Beaumont and Wilde, Duke of Broadmoor.
Omigosh, what a beautiful retelling of Beauty and the Beast!! I loved Isabel and Wilde (gaaah that Samantha Holt didn’t give us his real name…. but also applaud her for being a genius!!). Isabel was a ray of sunshine that quickly banished the darkness from Wilde’s world. They were perfectly matched. I also loved Wilde’s 3 loyal, matchmaking servants…. Mr. Timms, Mr. Lighthall, and Mrs. Potter. They made a wonderful comic relief. I love all the talks about books and library… I’m a reader so I can just imagine how grand the library was. Le sigh. This was a very sweet story… a few kisses only. I enjoyed it very much.
Great job, as always, Samantha Holt.
