Could they change the world–before the world changes them? Filmmakers Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison left the mission field of Indonesia for the mission field of Hollywood with a dream bigger than both of them. Now they have done the impossible: raised enough money to produce a feature film with a message that could change the world. But as Chase and Keith begin shooting, their well-laid plans … begin to unravel. With millions of dollars on the line, they make a desperate attempt to keep the film from falling apart–even as a temperamental actress, a botched production schedule, and their own insecurities leave little room for the creative and spiritual passion that once motivated them. Was God really behind this movie after all? A chance meeting and friendship with John Baxter could bring the encouragement they need to stay on mission and produce a movie that will actually change people’s lives. In the midst of the questions and the cameras, is it possible to keep things above the line and make a movie unlike anything done before–or is the risk too great for everyone?

I love the way Kingsberry writes, and her faith-based thinking. This particular series I found too predictable and a little on the “sappy” or dramatic side.
Love the entire Baxter series. Really fitting as Pureflix and others are out now. Karen Kingsbury is a great Christian fiction writer. Her characters really come alive. You root for them as they go through their lives. Always inspirational.
I enjoyed this first book of “The Above the LineCollection” .. and continued to the next immediately!
I have read 25 books about the families in the Baxter and Flanagen families. Read them in order or you will stay confused! If you read them in order they are good books. I did not and was mentally exhausted by the time I read number 25.
In my opinion, every Karen Kingsbury book is 5 stars! I’ve read them all and can’t wait for her next one!
When I discovered Karen Kingsbury, I gobbled everything up that she wrote. Loved this first in series…highly recommend.
Loved this part of the Baxter Family series collection.
A bit predictable, but good character development and story.
Entertaining, fun, love to read Karen Kingsbury books. Feel like you can relate to characters
I like faith based fiction. Interesting series of books. I enjoyed the characters, and stories.
Great author and nice series. You want to keep reading to find the outcome.
love the author follow her books. Should read the books before this series to totally understand
Very enjoyable set of books, but just seemed like two of the main characters were taking forever to finally get together, and then in the end, you are still waiting for it to happen, so you have to read beyond this four book set to see what will happen with them.
I could not put this series down, it is so well written and interesting. I also liked the Spiritual conotation, it makes for a clean, positive, real life story. excellent!!
How can you not love this story? So much fun! Learning about the movie industry and Christianity! I found it very interesting finding out how movies are really made. I didn’t know how difficult it was. It’s easy now to see why it’s so hard to live right while being in that atmosphere. Reading about Christians actually doing it is awesome! Very inspiring and a roller coaster wondering if they’ll make it!
Love Karen Kingsbury
Love all of Karen Kingsbury books. They are so good you don’t want to stop reading
Love these books and this series.
As always very uplifting.
I have read these books in paperback, but got them again for my Kindle Fire. Karen Kingsbury is a great story teller and worth reading twice.
