Vampire Knights:
Lancelot’s Lilly #1 – Very interesting and unique Preface. I love the poem snippet. I was in hog heaven reading this lil’ gem. I love the twist with the time travel. I wasn’t too excited about reading about Lancelot and Guinevere, OD’d as a kid, BUT I love what was done with their story. I like many of the characters, including Briar, and Sir Bors is cool; like his style and his personality. Another well written, well thought out story with interesting characters and twists that keeps the reader immersed in the pages as they fly by too quickly to the end. But it looks like there will be another story highlighting another main character in the future. Yeah! 5*
Arthur’s Rose #2 – What else would you want when you’ve got time travel, the Round Table crew, vampires and witches and fae? OK, maybe a glass of wine, too. I couldn’t put this book down. It was fast paced, action packed with a whole lotta of happenings – good and bad. The characters are getting better and more interesting, especially Nimue who’s shining so bright she could have her own story. Briar is doing a great job herself and she’s the lady of the third book The Bastard’s Briar. Don’t expect a straight line plot since the well written, multiple story lines keep the reader immersed in the drama, the hopes, the romances and the sexual tensions. I enjoyed the lyric at the beginning of the book, along with the intriguing Preface. There’s infrequent use of vulgar language and a sex scene for those who care. 5*
The Bastard’s Briar #3 – Man, this book is the best! The narrative is mesmerizing; the descriptions vivid; the action fast paced; and the main characters are great. I loved the well thought out story line. Briar is awesome; yeah, she’s a vampire, but I love the way she thinks and acts. This story never slowed down and the ride the reader is taken on is awesome. There’s a lot of substance to this tale; like a stew made with everything, including the kitchen sink. There’s plenty of humor and some of the quotes are belly laugh makers.
I love the poetry that precedes the preface and first chapter; adds a spicy taste to the tale. I always appreciate the preface since I like knowing about a story before I read it. I contacted the author to review her books and received this delightful story. 5*

Gypsy Blood:
Gypsy Blood – Love Bloody Hurts #1 – I love this author and this book is another good read by her. The book is nonstop intrigue and suspense. The characters are likable and interesting; you’re in their corner. The sexual tension and humor between the Gypsy and the old vampire was perfect. The book moved along rapidly making it hard to put down. My favorite author is in her form, no stupid formula, just a well written story with likable characters, interesting dialog and storyline. There is vulgar language, but gratefully, it’s not overdone, and the sex is in your imagination where it belongs. No cliffhanger. 5*
Gypsy Blood – I Walk The Bloody Line #2 – Wow, talk about the evil in this book. Fast paced, filled with action, evil and a storyline that keeps the reader immersed in the pages until the end. The characters keep growing, and discovering new secrets and plots, and finding surprising sources of help as needed. There’s a couple of dark happenings, but overall the book keeps rolling along. The vivid descriptions and no stupid formula add to the mix. The vulgar language is kept to a minimum. No cliffhanger. 5*
Gypsy Blood – The Future Looks Bloody #3 – Wow, this is the best of the trio. Full, non-stop action and intrigue, complete with plenty of sexual tension. The characters keep getting better and more evolved as each book carries to the end of the trilogy. The intriguing storyline make it hard to put the book, or the other ones either, down for even a moment. There are dark periods as the book unfolds, causing twists and turns, and things happen unexpectedly. This is one of my favorite sets of books in this genre. I contacted Ms. Allen to review her books. 5*
