From a New York Times bestselling author and her daughter!England, 1677: Lady Lily Ashcroft is known for being kind to all creatures—even Rose, her flighty and frivolous older sister. But Lily’s sweet nature is put to the test when she unwittingly falls for the man her sister intends to marry. Betraying her own kin is out of the question, but she can’t seem to bury her growing feelings for Lord … growing feelings for Lord Randal Nesbitt…
What Lily doesn’t realize is that Rand, an Oxford linguist, has been harboring a secret admiration for her ever since she was a girl. I loved it. I would recommend it. Great read.
Love this whole series of “clean” romances. Really great characters.
I already wrote a review and it is posted on amazon. recommended reading
One of the best Historical romance I’ve ever read.
I really enjoyed this book, as it was a little different twist on the usual Regency romance. The characters were so likeable and well-developed. I’m so glad I found the “sweet and clean” versions of this author’s books!
I very much enjoyed both the original and the ‘sweet and clean’ versions of the Flowers trilogy (Violet, Lily and Rose) in Lauren Royals Chase Family series.
Enjoyable read with a few plot twists that hold interest.
I liked this book not only the wonderful characters but because it was a clean book! I love romantic books but don’t enjoy the book that has explicit sex play by play!
Sweet and clean, well defined ,the writing well done and the plot has enough twist and turns to keep the reader interested. I am not going to give a synopsis of the book except to say I found it entertaining and would recommend it to all readers.
Good historical novel but parts really drag. The hero and heroine are well-suited and discover they care about each other early on but the heroine (Lily) has a conflict with her sister Rose who has also set her sights on the hero (Rand). I felt that the book dragged on much longer than was necessary and a lot more drama than needed.

This book was one that I couldn’t put down! Many twists and turns in the plot line.
interesting mix of characters. all’s well that ends well.
It’s sweet with a couple of unpredictable twists…
For the most part a good read. For me there were a few slow parts. Had to laugh about the female code where if someone you know likes someone, that person is off limits. Too .many times we never give the guy a chance to decide. Humorous on that account.
I just want to say “thank you” for creating a sweet and clean version of anything. It is very nice to have something that could be shared with younger readers and still be very interesting.
Love this family! Lily and Rand are an interesting match! Happy Reading!
I loved the storyline I felt bad for Rose but glad that Lily and Margery have their happy ever after. Rand had such a loving heart.
Characters weren’t written with much depth. It was a fluff book.
I decided I would prefer to read the original, steamier versions of the stories by Lauren Royal.
