Being the good twin isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Abby Levesque knows that better than anyone. While her sister drifts through life carefree, Abby’s left to clean up her messes. The latest mess? Hudson Quinn– the hot, angry billionaire on her doorstep demanding she accompany him to Paris. He’s obviously mistaken her for her twin, Gabrielle, who happens to be his assistant. Too bad Gabrielle … Gabrielle is nowhere to be found.
If Abby wants to fix her sister’s latest blunder, she’ll have to pretend to be someone else for two weeks–preferably someone who isn’t wildly attracted to her mercurial boss… As far as Hudson’s concerned, his sexy-but-flaky new personal assistant is just another in a long line of terrible decisions and failures in his life. But he’s working on the deal of a lifetime–a deal that could change everything for him–and he needs her help to close it. The last thing he ever expected was to connect with her on a soul-deep level. Falling in love wasn’t part of the job, and when Hudson finds out who she really is, Abby’s terrified he’ll never forgive her.
With a billion dollar deal–and both their hearts–on the line, can Abby convince Hudson she’s the right twin for him?

I love all Avery Scott’s books. This book was absolutely amazing. Once I started reading this book I simply could not put it down. Wonderful characters and I love the whole good twin/ bad twin concept. A great read and highly recommended.
The twin switch was classic. It was sweet and heartwarming. It was entertaining and the twist in the plot was great. The characters personalities shined through. The ending was the best part.

Beautifully written in all the description of the many tourist sites in France. The storyline was refreshing in not only the twin factor, but that the switch was not done out of spite, but in desperation. Love how the characters both break out of the norm and go for their dreams and to reach for a HEA.

Great story! You usually read about twin men and being a case of mistaken identity in those instances but I love how in this case, it’s the sisters. Abby has to be taking care of her sister’s crazy antics and gets something she didn’t expect when her boss thinks she is her sister. Their connection is explosive and I love how the story develops. I couldn’t stop reading and ended up sitting and finishing in one sitting.

I have to say at the beginning I wasn’t sure but wow. I loved the story line and the way to author told the story. I think the twin sisters was a great plot and I also the way it ended… Priceless… Love, drama, laughter and even some sad parts.. This has everything
This is a very well written book that piques your interest from the beginning and won’t let you go until the very end. The story line is great and could happen so you feel as if you’re reading something that could actually happen in the real world. You get with the story line anger, lies causing heartbreaking consequences, twists, turns, drama and love. I definitely recommend this story for anyone who likes angsty romance reads with two great characters that are just trying to live their best life.
Abigail and Gabrielle are twin sisters who live in their grandmother’s house. Abby is the responsible one and Gabby is the wild and fun one with no idea what the real world is like. Abigail gets let go at her job and is trying to figure out ways to pay the mortgage and lose a part of her and her sister’s memories. When Gabby gets a job on a whim by helping Hudson speak French over the phone to understand a deal going on. Hudson hires Gabby to help close the last of the deal to help finish it. When the wild side of Gabby and leaves when Hudson is there to pick her up Abby doesn’t have a choice but to go in her place and try to pass as her sister. The thing is that Abby isn’t like gabby. Abby falls for Hudson but Hudson is falling for who he thinks is Gabby and not Abby. Will the truth come out? Will Hudson still fall but understand why she didn’t come out?
Great Read!!!
Abby Levesque is a beautiful woman who is responsible, level-headed and works to get things done. But her twin Gabrielle is known as the carefree and irresponsible one. She walks through life like nothing and Abby is always left to clean up her messes. And she stuck in the middle when Gabrielle’s boss comes looking for her at her home for a business trip. He thinks she is Gabrielle, what will she do? She takes her place so her sister doesn’t lose her job. But was it the right thing to do?
Hudson Quinn is a billionaire working on an important deal for his father’s company. Gabrielle is his assistant and again she has proven to be irresponsible for their upcoming trip to Paris. When he picks her up and takes her on the trip, he notices that the woman that he once knew is different, but in a good way. She has changed for the better and he believes that they could move forward in their relationship from boss and assistant. But is she who she really says she is, sometimes looks can be deceiving.
This book was amazing!!! I loved it from the moment I started reading it to the end. The romance, the culture, it was everything I wanted and more. This book is about finding your passion in life and taking the plunge, no matter where that might leave you. This is a mist read, you won’t regret it!!!
Abby’s the good twin. It’s why, when her sister Gabrielle’s boss shows up at their doorstep demanding she go with him to Paris to help close the deal they’ve been working on, she goes. Unfortunately, somehow along the way, she falls in love with Hudson, even knowing that he’ll be irate when he finds out she misled him about her identity. Will Hudson forgive her or will he shut her out of his life?
I was excited to read The Bad Twin because the blurb sounded promising. Unfortunately, the execution was a bit lacking for my tastes. The whole story gave off a very old-fashioned vibe for one, and it helped keep the characters disconnected from me. I never connected with or liked Hunter or Abby, especially Hunter. He was kind of a douche for most of it, and even when he softened a bit, it was so late in the story that I found I still didn’t care about him. So why 3 stars and not 2? Well, the story itself was good and showed potential. It’s nothing extraordinary, but definitely not so horrible as to deserve 2 or fewer stars.

Abby has always been the good and responsible twin to her fly by night sister Gabriel. When Hudson shows up to get Gabriel to finish a job in Paris where she is to help translate and seal the deal she isn’t there. Abby goes in her place and the two are attracted and falling for each other. What happens when the truth comes out?
A great and entertaining read. Sometimes a good thing can turn bad with deception.
Really well written and entertaining.
Abby and Gabrielle are identical twins that were born 16 minutes apart. They may look the same on the outside, but on the inside they are completely different with both their personalities & general outlook on life. Abby has always been the good girl, sensible & responsible – keeping up with an aging house & paying the bills. Gabrielle lives as if though life is one big party. Even better if that party is on someone else’s dime. She goes about her life without a care in the world or thought about anyone else, leaving Abby to pick up the pieces in her wake.
When Gabrielle‘s billionaire boss, Hudson Quinn, mistakes Abby for her irresponsible twin, who’s taken off in the night to parts unknown, she is forced to play the role of Gabrielle as his interpreter & personal assistant in the lovely city of Paris. She didn’t really want to & she hated to lie, but what’s a broke girl, down on her luck with no new job lined up, supposed to do? Without the money, they would surely lose their beloved grandmere’s house.
Paris is everything Abby ever dreamed. There are moments of tension & stress over Hudson’s business deals and Abby’s complete lack of knowledge of the trip details as his supposed assistant. The more time Abby spends with Hudson in Paris, the more she begins to fall for him. She wants to tell him the truth but she is hesitant to learn how things may really be once the truth is out.
When you’ve been a good girl all your life & fate has never treated you kindly, would you slip on the mask of the bad girl and enjoy the pleasures of sexy boss Hudson in Paris?
And when the truth comes out, will Hudson still want her or will the lies tear apart any chance they might have had, leaving Paris as only a fond memory?

Avery Scott paints a beautiful picture of Paris in her debut novel, The Bad Twin. At times, I felt as if I was in Paris, experiencing the hustle & bustle of the city of love as Abby & Hudson explored the city in all it’s beauty. Ms. Scott certainly has a talent when it comes to world building and thorough knowledge of France. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A fluffy romantic story, easy to read and fast but sometimes that just what you need. A tale of twins switching places and the love story that comes from that. Not a a lot of in depth substance but satisfying to read.
Loving this twin dynamic! Abby and Gabby are twins who are polar opposites. While Gabby is carefree and bohemian in nature, Abby is the responsible and adult acting of the pair. When a string of bad luck continues for her, Abby finds herself without a job and the bills piling up – bills that were already piled up to begin with. And when she thinks things are going to be somewhat ok with Gabby getting a job, she isn’t surprised when her boss arrives at their doorstep and she has flaked yet again. But when he thinks Abby is Gabby, she is so desperate that she decides to give it a shot to get the job done and the money to save their house and bills. Hudson is already unhappy with Gabby’s work in the office, and when she forgets about their big meeting in Paris, he’s livid. Noting that she’s acting different than typical, he writes it off as a quirk and gets them on a plane. But when Abby, in an attempt to salvage the job without any of Gabby’s help, inadvertently screws up the entire meeting, we wonder if Abby will be able to recover the job. In the process, Abby and Hudson end up developing feelings and a real love for each other, but the risk of him finding out who Abby really is might blow everything. The premise of this storyline is different than most, and it’s what attracted me to this story and per usual, Avery did not disappoint! I would love to see if we get a book from Gabby in the future and see if she eventually outgrows her carefree ways.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I liked this story a lot. It kept my attention. I enjoyed the writing, characters and the chemistry. I wanted this book to go on forever. Great read.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a nice hot read. Abby and Gabrielle are identical twins. Abby has just been fired and they are in jeopardy of loosing their house. The responsible twin Abby has to take her irresponsible sister, Gabrielle’s, place as personal assistant on a trip to Paris when Gabrielle decides to go to Mexico on a whim. The boss, Hudson, is handsome, moody and generous. Abby stumbles her way through and ends up blowing apart the deal they came to sign and tries her best to correct her mistakes. Hudson and Abby start having feelings but he’s calling her by her sister’s name and she has lied about it who she is. Recipe for disaster! There are tears. Lots of sights and quaint culture described beautifully in this one.

This story begins with luck not being on Abby’s side. Life is piling up on Abby and she isn’t getting any help from her flighty identical twin sister; who can’t seem to hold herself accountable for literally anything. (so annoying) Their entire lives Abby has always been the responsible one; the caregiver…So when Hudson (Billionaire Playboy & Gabby’s boss) arrives to pick up Gabby for a work trip but Gabby’s nowhere to be found; Abby must pretend to be her sister so that they both don’t end up unemployed. A work trip to Paris..while pretending to be her opposite in every way sister && an undeniable attraction to your sister’s boss; What could possibly go wrong?
Abby and Hudson never saw each other coming; so when her real identity is revealed can Hudson forgive her?? This was my first read from Avery Scott and I really really enjoyed it! I could not put this book down! Do yourself a favor and give The Bad Twin a read it was so so worth it!
