She has never truly gotten over the fact he dumped her in their junior year for her best friend. With his coronation only weeks away, Enzo is wants let the country know who he really is and now all he needs is a ghostwriter. He asks Avery to write it for him. Feelings are still there but.it is going to be an uphill battle for them especially with the surprises that are coming.
This is a sweet contemporary romance that pulls at your heart strings. The characters are well done with complex and engaging personalities. They invite you into their lives and you can not help but want them to reconnect. The novel alternates from both their points of view giving us insights into their memories, emotions and motivations. I liked the interaction between the two main characters, it seemed honest and raw. The storyline flowed along well and was filled with emotional drama as the characters overcame past hurts and became aware of what was truly important to them. The story pulled at my heart strings and left me feeling uplifted. If you enjoy well written, sweet, contemporary romances, then you will most likely enjoy this book.

A royal mistake gets a second chance
Aw, the intrigue and the romance! I love second chance romances, plus these modern Royal fairytales are just so much fun to read.
This one was fun. Prince Enzo had his work cut out for him trying to get Avery to forgive him. He’d been a terrible jerk to her… thankfully, here’s also grown up a lot since then, even though it didn’t look like it on the surface. But after all, that’s what he needed a ghost writer for in the first place, to get past surface appearances.

I’ve got mixed feelings with this story. One, it kind reads like a play book. Two, Enzo is back and forth for most of it, he wants Avery but he thinks he wants to try other women, he loves Avery but he thinks to try to get another lady. Also he ditched Avery 13 years ago for her best friend because he had feelings for her that he didn’t understand so he ran and found an easy lay. This is a straight laced clean story where at most is a deep kiss and some PDA. There was no bad boy Prince just a 30 year old whiny man child who didn’t grow up until evil step mommy threatened his shot at the throne.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Avery and Prince Enzo who have a past that didn’t end well. They now have a second chance. The author does a great job building the story, bringing drama, intrigue and suspense as well as a few twists and turns along the way.I loved the dialogue and watching them come together. There’s tons of emotions flowing throughout helping to make this an entertaining read. It moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.

He may have had a reputation with drinking and women but he was still a good person. The press made it seem like he was doing something wrong. He’s a single guy that really needs to let loose. He is serious about the throne despite how people chose to make him look bad. When he is truly shocked in front of everyone, he finally realizes that he needed to act on what he should have done a long time ago. To me, he grew up right there when he made that announcement. Everyone was shocked but it worked in the long run. The truth always hurts but when you embrace it, its better for everyone. He did and found his happy.
