Candor and Ava, great short story
Candor lost his brother and the leader of the cougar shifters in their territory to rogues. Now Candor has to become their leader.
Ava lost her mother in a tragic accident. Unable to afford their apartment in California, she moves to Colorado to live with her mother’s brother and his family. She hasn’t see her aunt or uncle since she was a child and had never met her young cousins.
Ava meets Candor at the hardware store. Feeling over whelmed with the loss of her mother she runs into him than nearly falls at his feet. He is the first shifter she has met. He is kind to her and her aunt, even though her uncle hates shifters and is very vocal about it.
Candor can’t get Ava out of his head. He has never been attracted to a human woman before. With rogues in his territory he has no time to explore what that attraction might mean.
Candor once again comes to Ava’s rescue when she and her young cousin wander into his territory and a rogue finds them. Again after a blow up with her uncle, he takes her home with her.
When her young cousin goes missing, Candor mobilizes the cougars in his territory to help find her.
Fast paced, and a little steamy. A nice holiday epilogue to wrap up their story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was another great story. It is a fast read that will keep you glued to your e-reader. I adored Candor and Ava’s story. With the added suspense of rogue shifters, it was enthralling to read. I enjoyed the dual POV format. It really helps me to get into the characters’ mind set to understand their actions.
I would suggest this story for anyone (18+) who loves shifter romance.
I received this story, this is my voluntary review.
The Baby Shift: Colorado is a quick read and enjoyable read. It has action, drama, and romance. I appreciated the vivid imagery that made it interesting. I adored the chemistry between Ava and Candor. Their journey towards happiness was entertaining. Ready for the book in this series.
I loved this novella. It gives you a look into the modern world where prejudice and misunderstandings can be put aside for the greater good. You will be on tenter hooks for most of the story to see what will happen next. I am leaving a voluntary review for an advanced copy of the book.
This is a short, intriguing shifter romance novella about a young human female (Ava) who is still dealing with the death of her mother & moves to her uncle in Colorado. Once there, she comes into contact with a male cougar shifter who is dealing with the memories of his brother’s murder (Xander) by rogue shifters. I found the story-line and plot quite entertaining & well-written with interesting, likable characters.
There is: cougar shifters, rogue shifters, twists & turns, intrigue, drama, danger, enemies, violence, conflict, family issues, prejudices, attacks, attractions, confrontations, surprises, a little steam, happiness & a satisfying ending.
I enjoyed reading this shifter romance novella & would recommend it.
