She had been shunned and ignored by her own fellow wolves.
And she deserves this.
Why?
Because she is a daughter of a traitor, and my biggest enemy.
She doesn’t deserve to be in the pack.
I was left an orphan at a young age, only because of her father.
Seeing her face, is the last thing I want.
Even if she has perfect curves and most attractive woman.
She has now invited the biggest trouble, just … just like her father.
She wants to protect the enemy.
Protecting a human will be a biggest threat.
It is a complete danger and against the rules of the pack.
Relationships with humans are already on the edge.
I know our lives will be thrown into turmoil.
As a leader I need to protect my pack.
Can you even imagine, who is helping her with this?

I was very surprised at how fast paced this story was. I liked how the author was able to write a story that had such a complex fast paced story line. You wanted the two main characters to be able to work things out, even with the very bad blood between them. The very beginning was just heart breaking. I’m really liking how Alicia Banks tells her stories.
Dominique is the alpha of the wolf pack who witnessed the Great War between humans and werewolves where half of their pack were killed. They had been betrayed by one of their own.
Isabella is the daughter of the traitor who gave their location to the humans. Isabella was six years old when the war happened and because of her father’s actions she became an outcast to the pack and not claimed as a part of them. While she is wandering the forest around the packs lands, she smells a human and goes to investigate. She finds a baby down the well. Knowing that she can bring danger to herself and the baby, she hides him.
Dominique discovers her with the baby and tells her to kill it, but Isabella refuses. He sends a letter to the humans to say they have found a baby but is told it’s not theirs. The humans then start another war. When it is almost too late they discover the duplicity of the general of the army and the two forces combine to eradicate the threat. They work together and at the end they work out a treatise so they will live together in peace.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
OOH, ooh, ooh!! Lots of twists and turns in this short book with awesome characters, an original take to the storyline and a happy-ever-after for Dominique and Isabella! My thanks to Alicia for another stunning visualization as she always does so well!

This very well written book 3 in the Wolf Shifters of Wakerlin is another Great Story about Wolves by Alicia Banks. The characters are very well constructed and the have depth and chemistry. There are many twists and turns to this story with action and adventure. This has a great plot and I enjoyed it very much. What a wonderful story. Loved this story about them both accepting their differences and about a romance between two people who normally might never have met if it not for a very special human baby.

Dominique is the son of the Alpha, who was killed in the “great war”, 20 years ago. The pack was betrayed by one of its own, also leaving a young child, Isabella. She was shunned by the pack her whole life, cared for enough to keep her alive by a pack elder, but that was all.
20 years later, Isabella finds a human infant that had been dumped in a well on Wolf Pack territory. She can’t let it die and asks the only person she thinks might help, to help her save the child and find its parents. At first Dominique is horrified! The traitors daughter is going to bring destruction by the humans down on the wolves again. But when he see’s how loving Isabella is to the baby, he helps find a place to hide them while he tries to find its parents.
In the mean time, there is a traitor among the humans who is trying to start a war again with the wolves. He doesn’t want the father, the mayor of the town, to know the wolves have inquired if they have a missing child. He convinces the mayor that the wolves have stole the baby and they must attack before they kill it. The humans attack, but in the middle of the battle Isabella shows up with the baby and halts the battle. When the mayor realizes his most trusted comrade is a traitor, they work together to kill him. The baby is returned to his parents and a new more cooperative treaty is signed. Dominique and Isabella are mated and peace reigns again.
The story line and character work were good. The story had a fairly smooth flow to it. There were some spelling and grammatical errors, but nothing that was too distracting.

I liked this book. It was well written and the characters were well developed. The history provided of the characters allowed the readers to understand why they felt they say they did toward each other. Reading their story as they realized they might be wrong in their thinking was perfect. Great ending.
