The 4th book in the Four Irish Brothers Winery series and I loved it.
Firefighter and paramedic Tierney wants a baby. She turns to her friends for support. They don’t understand why she doesn’t wait until she finds someone.
The one man who has been her bestie Brendan Flaherty is speechless but also doesn’t believe what she’s telling him.
Brendan will do anything for his best friend Tierney. What he suggests to her might just be the craziest thing he’s ever done.
See what happens.
An amazing book.
I highly suggest all the books.
This was was my first foray into this series. I enjoyed how everyone from the previous books were involved but no explanation was truly necessary to understand the story. Tierney watched all her friends find their happiness and begin families, and she realized what she wanted. Her friendship with Brendan strengthened their connection as they moved to the next step. I loved her strong personality and his supportiveness.
I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Love this series!
They loved each as friends…always there for each other in good times and bad…but odd to start a romantic relationship, but when they tried…sparks. Good story
A great twist to a marriage of convenience story. Strong, well-developed characters who grow by being together. And it was fun to get back in touch with many of the series’ characters from previous books. Very enjoyable read.
Tierney is an adventurer and always fearless and bold. But even though she loves her career as a paramedic, it isn’t giving her everything she needs. She wants a baby. She is willing to do whatever it takes to have a baby of her own. She is willing to figure out the financial logistics of things along the way.
Brendan Flaherty is a brilliant government analysis and world traveler. He has come back home to River’s Edge to help out with the flourishing family winery and to help his brother’s community theatre. It has been quite a long time since he was home so he is also enjoying catching up with long time friends like Tierney.
Tierney shares her secret desire for a child and is shocked when Brendan offers to be the father of her child. But he prefers to try things the old fashioned way. He wants to marry her and be her partner in bringing this desire to fruititation. Brendan figures he can finally write his long dreamed novel while wooing Tierney over to his offer.
This is a story of long time friends who end up becoming lovers and parents. It is always nice to read a love story where the characters have known each other for quite a long time. They already know each other’s weaknesses and strengths but watching that grew into a strong relationship is enjoyable.
This novel is also strong on family relationships between Brendan and his brothers, Tierney’s relationships with the Flaherty brothers and their wives.
When I started reading this series from Tule, the author was new to me so I wasn’t sure about it. But I am now looking forward to reading other books by this author.
One of my favorite Nan Reinhardt stories! I love this series so much! Tender, sweet, and realistic!
I’ve all her books and have not been disappointed
The final Irish Brothers Winery book has everything you’ve come to depend on in this series: family, humor, fun storytelling, and wine. I really need to figure out how to get my hands on some of that traminette! Perfect for anyone who just needs a short summer getaway.
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.
I have read all the Irish brother book by Nan. I loved this series. Couldn’t get enough. I loved being on the river, the showboat and the vineyard. She took me there so easily. I loved the relationship the 4 brothers had. I love a good romance and a “happily ever after”. A great read!
If you are in the mood for a friends to lovers romance, then The Baby Contract by Nan Reinhart is the book for you. The plot is set in the small town of River’s Edge, Indiana, where the four Flaherty brothers co-own a successful vineyard. All the characters are easy to get to know and identify with. This is the fourth book from the Four Irish Brothers Winery series, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
When Tierney Ashton’s brother died fighting for his country, she felt compelled to take his place in order to please her dad. So she worked very hard to become a firefighter and a paramedic. Now in her mid 30s, Tierney longs for a child and feels her biological clock ticking away. As a result, she decides to exhaust her savings and use a sperm bank in order to become a mother.
Brendan Flaherty is Tierney’s best friend and confidant. He is finally home for good, after spending many years traveling while working for the government. He wants a family and offers himself to Tierney as an alternative to a sperm bank, as long as they can get married beforehand. They fall in love as they embark on their married life together.
Overall, a solid romantic read.
I really enjoyed Tierney and Brendan’s story in The Baby Contract by Nan Reinhardt, book four in her Four Irish Brothers Winery series. Firefighter and paramedic Tierney is a free spirit, but as she’s approached thirty-four she is ready to become a mother; hearing the ticking of her biological. Using a sperm bank, although expensive, is her best option since she’s not involved with anyone. Then she shares her dream with Brendan Flaherty, her brother’s best friend and now her pal/sounding board. Brendan is a government analyst and world traveler and returned home to help out at his family’s winery and his brother’s new community theater; as well as finally writing that novel running through his head. When Tierney tells him her plan, he turns the table offering to be her baby daddy; he wants her to marry him. They could create a marriage contract to protect themselves and each other.
Marriage of convenience and siblings’ best friend are my favorite tropes, so I was definitely excited about this story. Brendan already has a wonderful support network of his brothers and their wives are already friends with Tierney. There shouldn’t be any problems keeping things compatible and sizzling for Brendan and Tierney; after all, it just might lead them to falling in love and starting a family.
Ms Reinhardt wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with chemistry, amusing banter, and charming secondary characters helping to give Tierney and Brendan a chance for love, family and a future together. I highly recommend The Baby Contract to other readers. This is the first book in this series that I’ve read and now I have to go back and read the others.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is my first time reading anything from this author and it has left me with a desire to read the rest of this series. This is a really well written story that pulled at my heartstrings on a number of occasions. I loved the story and the characters are amazing. The author’s world building is fabulous, and I really felt as it it was a real place with the characters being real people. Totally fantastic!

Tierney is a firefighter/EMT, and her biological clock is ticking. She’s making plans to have a baby via a sperm bank. Brendan is her brother’s best friend, who’s looking out for her after Mike’s death in Afghanistan. He just moved back to River’s Edge. And just volunteered to be the baby daddy, but they have to do it the old-fashioned way, including marriage. She’s looking for a baby – he’s looking for a family. He sees what his brothers have, and wants it for himself. They have some bumps on their road to happiness, some bigger than others. While they’re surrounded by friends and family, some of them are more supportive than others, who take a little longer to come around. His brothers are all so close, as are their wives, and I love how they embrace Tee into the family immediately and without judgment. It was nice to see the people of River’s Edge again; it’s the type of community I want to live in.

Brandon was Tierny’s older brother’s best friend, and since his friend did not return from war, he became her confidante and older brother in all but blood. Now, Tierny is 34 and feels her biological clock ticking. She really wants a baby, but after her last failed relationship she decides to go to a sperm bank.
But when she confides her plans to Brandon he is shocked and unwilling to support that idea. He comes up with a different proposal: They marry for real, create and care for their children, as any other family. He had given up on a relationship with his demanding job and really would like to come home to more than an empty house.
A story of two friends, who realize over time that there is more to their friendship than they expected. Luckily they have the courage to follow their new-found wisdom.

This is a wonderful combination of friends to lovers and fake relationship a sweet read that draws you in and keeps you engaged
Paramedic Tierney Ashton can hear her biological clock ticking at 34 she is ready to be a mother the only problem is she isn’t in a serious relationship let alone married. She decides the only way it is going to happen is via a sperm bank and then be a single mother That is until she mentions her plans to her best friend Brendan Flaherty He has recently returned after travelling the world with his job and now he wants to settle down He suggests been her baby daddy but only on one condition she has to marry him. These two have been friends for years but is there actually more there will they have to rethink their relationship as they spend more time together.
Great story about two friends who have reached the point of wanting to become parent so they enter into a business contract marriage. They find out that they have a passion for each other. I was really glad I picked this book up because watching the relationship between Tierney and Brendan was engaging and beautiful. The friendship leads to a stronger love between them. Not only do they get the baby they both wanted but they also got the family they wanted and a love that will withstand the time. First book I’ve read from this author, plan to grab the first three books of this series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. The whole series was fantastic. I enjoyed reading about each of the Flaherty brothers. Book 4 features Brendan and his long time friend Tierney Ashton. Brendan had lived in Washington DC and worked for the government as an analyst but has returned to his hometown, Rivers Edge to write a novel, help at the family vineyard, Aidan’s community theatre on the showboat and be with his brothers and their wives. Tierney works as the assistant fire chief. Brendan and Tierney have been good friends for years, he was her late brothers best friend and always saw her as a little sister.
Tierney sees all her girlfriends having kids and she realizes she also wants a baby. She researches going to a sperm bank to have a baby. She talks about it to her friend Megan, her parents and then Brendan. None of them agree with this idea. They think it will be hard as a single mom and a fire fighter. Brendan proposes that they get married and make a baby the conventional way and stay together to raise the child. This idea terrifies Tierney as she never viewed him in a romantic way, plus she didn’t want to ruin their excellent friendship with sex. She accepts with the stipulation that they draw up a contract with answers to any situations that could arise.
I read each of the four books and really enjoyed each brother’s story. I like all the ladies they ended up with. All the characters as Nan has written them have been wonderful. I kept expecting a twist in this book about Brendan’s job but what I guessed didn’t happen. The family drama within Tierney’s family was very heartfelt too. She and her parents had never really dealt with her brother’s death so it was good to see it happen. I have enjoyed all the closeness between the brothers as well as between their wives. The brothers were all so devoted to their parents and their stepmom and as each added a significant other, it was romantic to read about. I definitely give this 5 stars and am sad to have finished the series. I will definitely continue to read books by Nan Reinhardt.
The Baby Contract, the fourth book in the Four Irish Brothers Winery Series by Nan Reinhardt is just as great as the previous three books. It is impossible to read this series without falling for at least one of the brothers, maybe all of them. Firefighter and paramedic Tierney Ashton didn’t plan on falling for any of the brothers, she just wanted to be a mother. Doing it the new way with a sperm bank. For anyone who knows much about alternate ways to become a mother then you know that finances are important. It is costly to say the least.
Into the mix is longtime friend Brendan Flaherty who can help out when he hears of her plans. That is where this story takes a twist making it a wonderful romance. Heartwarming and touching story that will leave you with a feel good smile. This is a winery that I would love to visit, just for the people because wine is not a favorite of mine but this family is. Too bad it is fictional, these are good people.
4.5 Stars
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
