My best friend’s kid sister wants me to get her pregnant–the old fashioned way.I’ve looked out for Ariel since she was in pigtails. I took her trick or treating, told off the jerk who dumped her, picked her up from Prom. When she needs my help, I’m there. Only she doesn’t need a ride, a study partner, a new tattoo.Ariel wants me to get her pregnant. The old fashioned way.Three months of trying. … way.
Three months of trying. Then we go back to our lives.
It’s a terrible idea. I should say no. I should convince her to wait for Mr. Right.
But the geeky grad student is sure it’s now or never.
And I’m sure as hell not going to let her find someone else.
The Baby Bargain is a standalone romance with a brooding alpha hero, a feisty math geek heroine, and enough heat to melt your Kindle. Come see why readers say “no one writes broken bad boys like Crystal Kaswell.”

It’s insanely hot, it’s wild, it’s rollicking good fun. I adore the sweet madness any time an alpha-as-heck hero decides to report-in for babymaking duty. And Crystal Kaswell brings a fun old romance theme to shiny new life with her trademark feels and deeply sensual style. Don’t miss this baby bargain – FREE in Kindle Unlimited.

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I love this series, and this is a shining example of why. This book follows Ariel as she tries to get pregnant, and Chase, as he tries to help her get pregnant – well at least help her find guy to get her pregnant because he’d never actually do it himself……………..right?! Be prepared for alpha males, sassy females and lots of laughs and misunderstandings as per all in the Inked Hearts series.
** spoiler alert ** Ariel is desperate to have a child. Chase is struggling with a past break up. She needs his help. Will Chase agree to her terms? Will they both get what they have always wanted?
I loved how these two were connected more than just right then. I didn’t blame Chase for trying to control what he could, but was really proud when he finally accepted that he didn’t have to blame himself for everything. I loved how Ariel was determined to do what she could to get what she wanted. Great read!
Loved it!! Another great book by Crystal Kaswell ! I really love this whole family of characters that she has created in the Inked hearts world, I love the camaraderie between all of them , I can actually feel all the emotions they go through. Chase was so heartbreakingly beautiful, I have been waiting for his story for a while and I was not disappointed, loved Ariel , love how she is so blunt and honest . Crystal has a way of creating these heroines that are beautiful and smart and I truly enjoyed Ariel she might be one of my favorites to date! Another must read ! 5 stars definitely! Sad that this is the last in the series but what a beautiful ending . I received an arc for my honest review
The Queen of broken bad boys has done it again. Intense. Emotional. Sexy. Unique baby making premise. Sexy brother’s best friend and a unique baby making bargain that leads to a heartwarming happily ever after. Highly recommend!
Once again, Ms. Kaswell takes some seriously intense issues and makes them relatable and palatable to the reader. We’ve got mental health, addiction, family dysfunction, cancer, and reproduction all mashed together, with insane doses of humor and hyper-realistic dialogue and interaction! Chase and Ariel are so much fun! She’s uber-smart, nerdy, and completely focused on her goals. He’s sweet, protective, calm, and exactly what she needs, even if his greatest fears are about failing those he cares about. I loved the push and pull with not only their relaionship, but the relationships Chase and Ariel have with friends and family members. There’s great chemistry within this group of friends and coworkers, and I’m so looking forward to seeing more of the Inked Hearts and Inked Love famlies!!!
Oka, this book is kinda over the top, but I really enjoyed it!
Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a well written story and hooked me from the start. This is a quick hot read, with a interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam!

Struggled to finish…way too long.
The book was almost 500 pages but it felt like twice that and it probably could’ve been half of that if it was edited for content. Too many irrelevant scenes. I skimmed. A lot.
One of the biggest frustrations for me in reading is when I have to go back and reread to figure who is talking or if I missed some part of the scene. Once I start getting frustrated, every ticky tack thing starts to really get to me. So, aside from not really liking the storyline, not caring for the main characters (they are too whiny, can’t stop talking about their exes, and I didn’t feel any chemistry between them – not even as a bff’s little sister/bro’s bff style) or secondary characters (they seem kinda rude with each other), the rest of the writing ‘style’ is so annoying. Conversations were often hard to follow because no one ever finishes a sentence. They all either interrupt each other or they trail off after one or two words. The other writing was choppy as well with incomplete sentences and repeated words and phrases – “ahem” was a big one.
The biggest and most annoying nails-on-a-chalkboard thing was that every reaction was a nod that was explained in *italics*! “She nods *sure*”, “he nods *true*”, “I nod *yeah*”, “nods *maybe*.” But sometimes the nods are entire conversations: “nods *I know, it’s ridiculous*”, “nods *go with me*”, “nods *of course*”, “nods *he’s got you there*”, “nods *you were*” OMG I can’t take it! If you have to explain away every feeling or sentiment then maybe you aren’t writing clear enough. I nod *definitely!*
Overall, I’m very frustrated and could not enjoy any of it. Pretty disappointed.
ARC was given by Author through Booksprout. I am giving my review voluntarily.
The Baby Bargain by Crystal Kaswell this is the 8th book in the Inked Hearts series.
I gave this book 4 1/2 . I absolutely love Ms Kaswell, and this series….. goodness I feel like I’m part of their circle of family and friends.
I fell in love with Ariel right away and my heart was braking for her ( this storyline hit very close to home, me) Chase had a broken soul that just need some true love to heal it!
They were such a great couple, the chemistry in-between them was hot, great funny bantering characters that we got to revisit with.
The broken relationship he had with his brother Hunter, The alcoholic mother….. there’s just so much that this book covered in-between the pain that Chase & Ariel suffered through the years as they grew up.
This book had a fantastic beautiful epilogue, no cliffhangers, it’s a standalone, but I recommend reading the series it’s soooooo freaking good!!! I can’t wait to continue reading the next book in this series .
Getting more than you bargained for in end!!!
The Baby Bargain is Book 8 in the Inked Hearts series by Crysal Kaswell. It is also the first book in this series that I have read and I really enjoyed it. It has all the elements of a good story-line (best friends younger sister, older man and younger woman and friends to lovers) along with solid characters, both main and secondary. Additionally there is a lot of emotion, both good and bad, that add to this tale of Chase and Ariel. Ariel is Forrest’s younger sister who also is Chase’s best friend. But Chase has felt non-friend things for Ariel for a long time but has never acted on them………but he sort of pines for her all the same. Ariel’s life took a turn she was not anticipating. I mean she had the great boyfriend and the good relationship where he was going to propose and they were going to have babies. Only that did not go quite as planned and instead Ariel is searching the the perfect baby donor as she needs to get pregnant for medical reasons, along with she wants a baby, but the boyfriend has run a mile in the opposite direction. Instead of going to the sperm bank and taking out a withdrawal she proposes a plan to Chase that he be the baby daddy, using the old fashion way, but he does not have to be involved after. The only problem is that Chase realizes that he does want a baby with Ariel. So now these two must navigate a lot together to get see if they can get to a HEA where they are together with a baby in the middle.
I will say that the one thing I thought while reading The Baby Bargain is that I wish I had read the other books in the series first. I know they can all be read as stand-alone books but there is character cross-over so it would be nice to have some background and context to add to this story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
The author does a great job of bringing us a storyline that is well written and flows smoothly. I fell in love with the well developed characters that are full of chemistry making for an easy decision to read from start to finish.

I couldn’t put this book down. Loved the characters and storyline.
I love this series. Wasn’t crazy about this storyline. However, Chase can talk dirty to me any time he wants!!!
This is a touching story about Ariel and Chase. Ariel has to accelerate the timeline of her future plans due to medical reasons and is crushed when her longterm boyfriend decides to break up with her. She reaches out to her brother’s best friend for help in finding a suitable man to help her achieve her dream. Will they succeed in their mission? The characters are strong yet vulnerable while they deal with their emotional turmoil and growth along with their inner struggles. The storyline is powerful, intense and realistic with what they are living. An amazing read!

Ariel needs to have a baby on a certain time table due to some health issues. When her long time boyfriend tells her that he isn’t ready and ends things with her she turns to her brother’s best friend for help to find a baby daddy. Chase was confused at first thinking that she was asking him but when she was asking him for help looking for candidates he reluctantly agreed to help her. However once they started screened guys he started getting jealous of any guy that would get a chance with her. So when it became clear that neither of them wanted another man involved they agreed Chase should be the man to do it. Things get pretty serious between them quick and soon neither wants things to end. Will either of them admit theirs feelings to each other? What will her brother say when he finds out?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I loved this story of Ariel and Chase, their conversations were funny, sweet, though, hearth felt and straight forward! I loved the other caracters too and I have a feeling I would have enjoyed the book even more had I read the previous books in this standalone series, but I did not know that it was part of one untill I started reading! I will to back and look for them because I really enjoyed the writing style of this author and the caracters in the book!

This book is my favorite tropes all together in one. Brother’s best friend and friends to lovers. It started a bit slow and seemed to drag on a bit at first, but it finally picked up and was deliciously dirty and sweet at once. I really enjoyed Ariel and Chase’ s story even though they frustrated me at times with their denial of their feelings. Who better to give you the baby you want than your brother’s best friend and old crush.

This is a good book to read if you like reading about people with problems. There is some amazing chemistry with the main characters as well as drama, self doubt and love.
Crystal Kaswell wastes no time getting the story to start off. So be prepared to jump right in it. You have to main characters, Ariel and Chase who have known each other for a long time. Ariel finds out some information that changes her life forever. Geez, it is some heartbreaking information too. So be prepared and have tissues while you read. Then you have Chase who is just troubled or depressed and just trying to live life. He is very relatable in this story for a lot of people in general. Ariel needs a favor and enlists Chase to help her. The chemistry between these two is hot. You can feel the emotions as if it was you are dealing with it. There is some moments where I teared up cause it was said and lots of happy moments to. Overall this is a good book with not a lot of repetition.
