It was an ok read. Not one of her better books. There is no real development in the characters or a believable story.
Also no desire to read the next book. It doesn’t capture my interest enough.
I tend to stay away from historical romances, because the old English doesn’t do much for me, but I love this author and it was a free download on Amazon, so… While this is historical, and the wording and speech is much more refined, there is no overall grandeur where you have to go back and re-read a paragraph to make sure you understand what’s …
HOT series. It made me fall in love with historical fiction again.
Took me long enough to get to these older Sierra Simone stories but damn….I’m glad I finally did. Superbly erotic historical story written like only Sierra can do. It gets your blood pumping and your body humming. I devoured 4 books in less than 2 days. This is the start of Ivy and Julian’s story. Is it a bit of insta love? Perhaps…but I’m …
This was kind of a rough start to a pretty good series. I found Ivy’s character to be a little too contradictory (in one moment she’s wild and free, the next she’s timid and frightened.) I gave this book three stars because I liked the series overall.
How did I get here? Researching romance author websites for inspiration on what to do with my own led me to Sierra Simone’s site, and to her limited-time giveaway of this book.
This took me two days to read only because I had to put it down for adulting time. I usually don’t read historicals, and I’ve lately been turned off by the virginal …

I’m thinking about a 3.5-4 stars. This book has a whole historical mystery thing going on. I liked it, not loved it, but I’ll probably check out the next book to see where it goes. There were a couple of parts for me that kind of dragged a bit. Ivy did a lot of walking and swimming it seemed. I want to find out more about what’s going on with …
This is my first Sierra Simone book. I have read the books she has done with Laurelin Paige, but this was the first of hers alone. She had me from there very beginning. I will admit that I didn’t read the blurb about it, I just one-clicked it and went to reading so the story was a complete surprise.
This story was sent in the 1800’s. Ivy was left …
