This edition includes discussion questions for individual or group use.
Francine Rivers never disappoints. Her life lessons are woven throughout this incredible story highlighting real struggles with triumphs. Thank you for this incredible story. It will help Christians be more compassionate to those going through abortions and will help reaffirm the sanctity of life
A wonderful book of forgiveness and finding that God has a way of working tragedy into something good.
I loved it its a heartfelt story that resonates with anyone but there is a happily ever after all.
I thought I had read this book years ago, but realized I hadn’t. I admit, I listened on audio this time. Even though some of the details of the setting are not longer current (e.g. during a time with no cell phones), it’s still very relevant and inspiring. I highly recommend it. Francine Rivers is a great writer.
Beauty from ashes. I cannot imagine the terror a woman goes through from rape but then to become pregnant as a result would be more than could be humanly endured. But God can redeem even the most horrific events.
Francine Rivers weaves a story that cuts to the heart of the issue!
I love this author. I have loved everything I have read of hers. This book is no exception.
This is a wonderful book – touching on the abortion topic with honesty and dealing the life long pain involved with abortion. However, God forgives and heals if we let him. Who knows how many women out there have kept the abortions secret fearing judgement and condemnation. Hopefully this book will be a healing tool. There is hope. Francine writes …
I was in tears when I finished this book. A victim of rape is basically expelled from the Christian college she attends when it is learned that she is pregnant. It does not matter that the child was conceived in an act of violence. I am adamantly pro-life and believe every child conceived has value and a place in God’s plan. Many will disagree, …
Francine Rivers is a wonderful writer!
I had a hard time putting it down but I had to get some sleep.
Wonderful book couldn’t put it down. What a blessing to read how God can weave something wonderful out of something so horrific.
Other Francine Rivers are much better. This was predictable and too political instead of fearless and authentic. Kind of disappointed…..
Loved it! Could not put it down!
I liked her other books better. This one has a message, but sort of preachy. Well written. She is a good writer.
I always enjoy her books. Thy are easy to read and it is hard to put down.
The Atonement Child was my first read, many years ago, of Francine Rivers and my first read on the many issues involved with a pregnancy outside of marriage. My eyes were opened, and hopefully my heart is now more like Jesus’s. I appreciate the candid and honest approach to various Christian responses. Very thought provoking and convicting.
Absolutely my favorite author. All her books are thought provoking & inspiring.
The story of the struggle with unwanted pregnancy and abortion is portrayed in the light of God’s love and forgiveness.
First book I read by this author. Since, I want to read everything I find by her.
