In 1791, two men began planning the layout for the nation’s capitol city. One is shunned and resigns in disgrace, and the other is all but forgotten. Years later, an original copy of the plans — long thought to have been destroyed — is found, with hastily marked notations by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.
During the second World War, American military scientists discover some … fascinating properties of the hydrogen atom and its link to an ancient mystical number. The exact findings are never published, but a national laboratory is built in 1943 to further their research in covert silence. America is told it is a defense project, code-named “The Manhattan Project.”
An ego-maniacal entrepreneur and his company, Vilocorp, will stop at nothing to build the “perfect” human specimen. His firm’s research has been getting closer every day, but they seem to have uncovered a horrific, ancient secret that has been locked away for thousands of years.

I liked the concept and the whole Atlantis idea but for some reason I was not drawn in.
Definatley written to be made into a movie…and should be made into one!
Loved it.
The plot which is hard to find takes forever to get to the point – a book I couldn’t help but put it down after several pages!
I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book. Worth reading.
Ok didn’t care much for it. Not much substance. But ok for light read.
A fun read.
Would read this one again and probably will.
A little boring at times. I gave it a 3.
it seemed a bit far=fetched at times, but I enjoyed it
A good read, very unusual plot but entertaining.
Nothing exceptional but a good read to pass the plane ride and layover.
Another theory about a lost city of gold. It was a decent read, although it got a bit “far out” at times.
Not pleased with this one at all. Bought it thinking it would be Similar to Davinci Code or Nat’l Treasure. There are similarities but it’s not worthy of comparing.
The plot is frenetic and barely holds together. There is a decent plot in there somewhere but there’s too many detours to really see it. The writing is subpar. It feels like a first …
Have seen specials on TV about the lost continent of Atlantis and read Plato’s book on this. Read the book a long time ago and after I finished this book I want to read Plato’s work again. This book was a bit of a struggle to get through until the characters reach the last place they need to look for the stone. You have to pay attention to what …
Very nice read. I enjoyed the story very much.
Just couldn’t get into it
This story is wonderfully spun. Bad guys and good guys after the same magical/powerful object. Or are they all bad guys? Who should you be rooting for? Every time you turn the page there is another firefight or life threatening situation to get out of. If you like action definitely give this one a read!
I have read all of the books by this author and loved each of them. While there are some similarities between them they are all very different. I like the historical background and the plot twists you don’t see coming. Great book ..
