In 1791, two men began planning the layout for the nation’s capitol city. One is shunned and resigns in disgrace, and the other is all but forgotten. Years later, an original copy of the plans — long thought to have been destroyed — is found, with hastily marked notations by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.
During the second World War, American military scientists discover some … fascinating properties of the hydrogen atom and its link to an ancient mystical number. The exact findings are never published, but a national laboratory is built in 1943 to further their research in covert silence. America is told it is a defense project, code-named “The Manhattan Project.”

The Da Vinci Code meets National Treasure. The Founding Fathers hid a secret they felt was too powerful to possess, and now someone may have found it. Good races bad to maintain balance in the universe.
I loved this book and am working on others by the same author. I have to space them a bit though because I have to sleep sometimes and I couldn’t put this one down.
I really enjoyed this adventure story about a mythical power source, ancient civilizations and mystic connections between Washington D.C., the Egyptian pyramids and Easter Island. It’s full of interesting characters, some of them more than a little bit unstable with lots of action and a plot that keeps throwing you new curves every time you think …
This book is awesome and packed with action and suspense. I will definitely be reading more of this series. Lovers of James Rollins should definitely read this.
A terrific action packed plot, lots of twists and engaging characters. A very well crafted tale of suspense, very intriguing.
Loved it, can’t wait to read more of this author’s books!
Great book!
The Atlantis Stone by Nick Thacker was a compelling read. Detailed intricately and led the reader down a path that was JAMMED PACKED with action and I particularly liked the intricacies written into the plot and no spoilers but I loved not only the book’s beginning and the story telling but I LOVED the ending as well. If you don’t mind a …
The story line was a bit hard to follow and took a lot of leaps. It was an ok read.
This book had all the hallmarks, not only of a great book, but, the kind I really enjoy. However, it didn’t really gel for me. I had trouble finding the connections believable. About 75% of the way through, I didn’t care anymore and was just skimming entire pages.
a bit too predictable but an easy read.
If you want to escape just open a Nick Thatcher book. Fast paced and totally entertaining.
Excellent book incorporating many locations steeped in history. Definitely worth the read.
Just finished four of Nick Thacker’s books, including The Atlantis Stone, and found all of them to be really good, action packed page turners that I enjoy!!
Fun to read
A good vacation or beach read. Rather typical gunfights where the heroes always have perfect aim and the villains only wound. A round-the-world search for an all-powerful item that could destroy the world.
I enjoyed this book. The author is a good story teller. It is nice to see a good adventure story without having it laced with smut. The story kept me wanting to read more.
The Atlantis Stone is an interesting read, but takes some level of effort to get into. It reminds me of a number of ancient civilization and treasure hunter stories
good read
I found it a little slow. Not very exciting.
