DAN KOTLER IS BACK, AND THIS TIME HE’S TACKLING ONE OF THE OLDEST MYSTERIES IN HISTORY
The second Dan Kotler archaeological thriller!
1914—Thomas Edison stands and watches his West Orange laboratory burn to the ground, taking his life’s work with it. And he smiles. In his pocket is a stone that is the key to untold mysteries, and with it he will start fresh, and create wonders beyond any of his … will start fresh, and create wonders beyond any of his previous work.
1974—Two US Army Special Forces officers uncover a lockbox filled with invaluable enemy intelligence that can turn the tide of the Vietnam conflict. Among the papers and maps is another stone, nearly identical to Edison’s. With this, the two officers will build a financial empire, corrupt to its core but powerful enough to elude even the FBI.
TWO STONES, FOUND SIXTY YEARS APART, AND BOTH HOLDING CLUES TO WHAT MAY BE THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS
Today—Dan Kotler, independent researcher and archaeologist, is winding down from the events surrounding the theft and recovery of the Coelho Medallion, and discovering that the fallout of this history-altering adventure reaches further than he’d imagined. As academic colleagues shun him and the press hounds him, Kotler finds himself looking for a new purpose.
When Gail McCarthy, granddaughter of one of Manhattan’s wealthiest real estate moguls, brings an ancient stone to Kotler’s attention, he finds himself embroiled once again in intrigue, jeopardy, and mystery. This time he may uncover one of history’s oldest secrets—if he survives long enough.
Working with his friend from the FBI, Agent Roland Denzel, Kotler strikes out on a quest to uncover and solve the Atlantis Riddle, and once again rewrite history as we know it.

This is the second book in the series as was equally as good as the first one, with an excellent plot surrounding archaeologist Dan Kotler and his FBI friend, Special Agent Roland Denzel. Dan’s interest in a new project is stirred when a wealthy woman brings him an ancient stone. Before long, Dan’s on the hunt, with able assistance from Roland.
Will they be successful in rewriting history? Or will there be unsuspecting dangers lurking in the background? I don’t like to spoil things, so you’ll have to grab a copy and find out. With plenty of twists and turns, along with a bevy of interesting characters, it’s easy to immerse yourself in this story. If you enjoy action-adventure stories with some historical facts thrown into the mix, this one’s for you!
Kevin knocks it out of the park again and shows once more why he is among some of the biggest names in archaeological thrillers.
Dan and Denzel are great characters & Tumlinson’s plotting and dialogue are superb. Wonderful action adventure!
Is Atlantis real? It seems it is after reading this
Book. Several twists and turns as a FBI detective and an archaeologist search for Atlantis. Kept my interest as the journey to find Atlantis while using clues from the past. I was left wanting to know more info and wished the book had a couple more chapters.
This book has a bit of everything for everyone. It is a bit of crime, adventure, even touch of speculative fiction. Maybe it is not very original on the character structure (there is the professional FBI agent and there is the civilian “consultant”, you cannot go wrong with that) but the plot is entertaining and the writing style pleasant. I consider an added bonus that science and history are well researched and consistent within the book. Fair warning, it seems to be book 2 of a series but it does not feel like it, certainly it can be a stand-alone story so, if you do not know the author, I encourage you to give it a go.
seemed like hundreds of characters who didn’t live long enough to even need development. doublebacks and switchbacks without end, to no purpose. i suppose some readers like this sort of thing to put them to sleep. not to my taste at all – i like a plot that actually goes somewhere.
This one kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed it.
formulaic
Engrossing.
The story line took a couple of surprise turns and some that were apparent early on. I thought it was well written. I have read anything previous by this author and I’m looking forward to reading more of these characters and their other adventures.
Love reading this book. I captured my imagination
Nice story and interesting plot. Ending is a bit like “I need to end this story, but I don’t know how”. Leaves a lot of open ends.
Hard to follow at times.
Loved it!
Great read filled with just the right amount of action, suspense, danger, adventure and a hint of romance.
Great book – fast paced!!
Kept you interested all the way to the end
I definitely recommend this book. It kept me mesmerized. The characters and plot had numerous twists and turns that kept me guessing. I couldn’t put it down. Finished it in 3 sittings.
Nonstop action, believable and interesting characters, and a damn goid story libe makes this book very hard to put down, and easy to read. I read the Coelho Medallion first and I recommend that. Great books.
Great combination of mystery, impelling characters, and history with plenty of tiwsts will keep your interest until the end. Then you can’t help wondering what the next adventure will be for the dedicated FBI agent and his consultant partner, who’s a genius at solving puzzles and mysteries.
