Three years.Three years I’ve fantasized about my boss. Three years wondering what it would be like to have him touch me, to be trapped under that deliciously hard body while he makes every one of my fantasies come true.I’m not his type. Hell, I’m not even sure the man knows my first name. But I’d make a deal with the devil himself for one night in his bed. I never suspected that beneath his cold … that beneath his cold exterior there was a fire that burned for me. Why would I? He’s never even touched me.
Until tonight. Tonight, he’s determined to make me his and – God help me – I’m going to let him.
Author’s note: This novel contains explicit and steamy sex scenes that may not be your cup of tea. It is intended for mature readers only.

Great read
I enjoyed reading about a girl that wasn’t perfectly slim. I also liked the realism of her self-confidence in certain situations with the romantic interest. It made for a realistic read. The characters were cute as well.
There were so many things that I loved about this story that I can’t even choose which ones were more important to mention than the others. From secret fantasies that sometimes seemed too real, strong characters with hidden depths, reluctant relationships that blow hot and cold, dog loving people, mad one-sided longing, highly detailed scenes of hot and sweaty sweet sweet love and not seeing what’s right in your face, I don’t know if I fell in love with the story or the characters first, but every element came together for me like the perfect storm of literary addiction. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and this is it. I honestly loved this book. It was well written with all of the plot elements in the right alignment and a story line that will keep your interest right up to the conclusion. I was kind of let down when it ended, bit really just because it ended. I didn’t want to let the story end. I loved the two main characters. Lina Jones and Aiden Wright are both hiding something from each other, and when their secrets come together it’s more than either one of them expected. Ramona Gray has written another book that you’ll want to read more than once. I know I will.
Loved the story!!! I wish it was more.
I absolutely loved this story! I have re-read it multiples times since buying it. The main character is very likable and the struggles she faces with the man she is in love with paint a realistic picture of issues women have in the bedroom. My only issue was that it ended too soon, I wish the story continued!
I’m normally really bad about skipping ahead in books. This book kept me engaged from page 1 – no skipping! I loved it so much I immediately bought 4 more books from Ramona Gray.
It was not a romance, there was no feeling of love and respect. It was just one sex event after another. It was demeaning for women. The storyline had no backbone. The only good thing about the plot was the rescue dog and adopting animals nobody wanted.
a good light read.
This is the first book I’ve read by Ramona Gray, I can’t wait to read more! Loved it!!
For the most part, this book was quite enjoyable. I laughed whenever Lina would get sucked into one of her fantasies about her hot boss and although it’s predictable that he’d be jealous when someone else shows interest in her, I still love the feels =) Ending could have been more…. but all in all good quick read.
Another just okay read. It was a little confusing going from her daydream to reality. I would’ve preferred the daydream to be in italics to ease the confusion. Her boss seemed to have a split personality – hard to believe he could be an ass for three years and then suddenly become the most thoughtful guy in the world but then it wasn’t written for realism.
DELICIOUSLY NAUGHTY !!!
Title: The Assistant
Designation: Standalone Novel, NO Cliffhanger
Author: Ramona Gray
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: FIVE SINFULLY DELICIOUS STARS*****
Oh my! I’m totally in love with The Assistant, the latest release from Ramona Gray and she totally knocked it out of the park – again! This is one very hot and very sexy read! *swoon* I’ve been a diehard Ramona Gray fan for several years and look forward to each of her new releases. Gray is on my shortlist of favorite go-to authors so when I want a sexy, romantic read, she’s my first choice. Gray delivers a delightfully entertaining story every single time and The Assistant is no exception. The story is well crafted, romantic, exceptionally well edited, as are all Gray’s books, and totally captivating. The narrative is beautifully written with a first person prospective from the female protagonist, Lina Jones. The dialogue is smart, snappy, seductive, well executed, at times humorous, and flowed effortlessly. But my favorite element of this book is the wonderful cast of engaging, sexy as sin characters. I fell head over heels for the two protagonists, beautiful intelligent executive assistant, Lina Jones and handsome brooding businessman, Aiden Wright. They were intriguing, engaging, realistic and completely relatable. Their attraction was electric and their sexual chemistry was smokin’ hot! They were absolutely flawless and played off each other brilliantly. Gray skillfully combines every single one of these elements to craft an extraordinary contemporary romance filled to the brim with gripping emotion, sultry passion, heartbreaking angst and heartwarming love. I loved it!
Executive assistant Lina Jones has been having daydreams and nightdreams about her wealthy boss, Aiden Wright for the last three years but Lina knows the handsome businessman would never be interested in woman like her, a woman with real curves. Nope, not when the man in question could have any woman he wants. Oh well, it never hurts to dream, right? It just might! Especially when the gentleman in question is a brooding, dark hearted slave driver who may just harbor a secret desire for his beautiful, curvy assistant. Lina doesn’t do one night stands and Aiden doesn’t do dating, and he certainly doesn’t do relationships. He has his reasons, so never the two shall connect, right? Wrong! They will….They do…. Sparks fly! Attraction sizzles! Passions flare! And hearts just may be broken….. Or not! No spoilers from me but I will say this….Beautiful, sassy, intelligent and curvaceous assistant-check! Handsome, wealthy, cold hearted, domineering and seemingly uninterested slave driver boss-check! A couple of adorable dogs named King and Daisy-check! Sultry passion, sweet romance and lots of steamy dreamy sex-you bet! That and a whole lot more! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Deliciously cute, sinfully sexy and divinely entertaining!
When reviewing a book I always ask myself five questions. First, what did I love about this book? I pretty much loved everything about the Assistant. It’s a delightfully entertaining, light hearted, fast paced romance that is sure to capture your heart and make you smile. I love how it was written in the first person and I’m always a sucker for a book that revolves around the two primary characters and Ramona Gray is a master of her trade as well as a very gifted and talented wordsmith who knows how to entertain her readers. Second, I ask myself, what didn’t I like about this story? Truthfully, not a darn thing but it was just so darn good, I would have loved for it to be a little longer. I wanted to keep reading about this great couple who totally stole my heart. Third, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain quite a few exquisitely written sex scenes. *swoon again* This book made me swoon quite a few times! lol…. Fourth, I always ask, will I read this author again? Abso-freaking-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book, I’ll be the first in line to get my copy! And finally, was I entertained? Oh lawd, yes! I was definitely entertained! Once I started reading, I simply could not stop. I laughed, I cried, I empathized and I even screamed and shook my fists in anger but by the end, I was left with a big smile and a case of the warm and fuzzies. And isn’t that what entertainment truly is? Enjoying the story so much that you get completely caught up in the story and the lives of the characters….I know it is for me. So yes, in my opinion this book definitely deserves five stars. I loved it!
On a more personal note, I’d like to share something quite amusing about my experience with this book. While reading this story, an old country music song entitled Daydreams About Night Things originally performed by Ronnie Milsap in 1975 kept replaying in the back of my mind. Yeah, I’m that old, lol… Anyway, the lyrics for the chorus of the song fit this story perfectly: “I’m having daydreams about night things in the middle of the afternoon, and while my hands make a livin’, my mind’s home lovin’ you. I’m having daydreams about night things in the middle of the afternoon and every night, you make my daydreams come true.” Oh lawd, my husband and I both loved this song and spent many wonderful nights with it playing in the background! Once again, I ask you, isn’t that the true definition of entertainment? Being so caught up in the characters and their lives that you relate their story to a happy time in your life. It is for me. It was truly a pleasure to read this book. Once I started, I simply could not stop. The pages flew with the hours passing seemingly as minutes until I reached the very last line. So dreamy! So yes, I wholeheartedly recommend this book and quite possibly, it may just be the reason for you to take a wonderful stroll down memory lane.
