On a remote island in a tropical sea, Celaena Sardothien, feared assassin, has come for retribution. She’s been sent by the Assassin’s Guild to collect on a debt they are owed by the Lord of the Pirates. But when Celaena learns that the agreed payment is not in money, but in slaves, her mission suddenly changes – and she will risk everything to right the wrong she’s been sent to bring about.
This will be a short review of The Assassin and the Pirate Lord (I read in The Assassin’s Blade, which includes all the novellas to the Throne of Glass series.) This was the first time I read the novella, and I’m actually doing a re-read of the Throne of Glass series, so I can finally read the last book in the series. I’ve been holding off for so …
The Assassin and The Pirate Lord is the first novella in The Assassins Blade book collection, which is a prequel to The Throne of Glass series.
This is the first book I have read by Sarah J. Maas after be recommended it. I wasn’t sure which one to start. But I thought I’ll give this one a go as I love a good female assassin and would like to …
Great read! This is my first introduction to all of the Sarah J. Maas hype, and I have to say I’m super into it! This type of story is right up my alley! I expected the writing to be a bit more “high/noble fantasy,” but it reads super well and it’s a great small story.
This one is a need-to-read, you need to know the pirate…I forgot his name? It explains much of Empire of Storms, and it’s just a great story. It shows Celaena’s compassion and how she really is a good person…even if she is kind of brutal…
Loved this book and characters. Can’t wait to continue reading more.
Not my favorite book. Characters hard to keep track of, violent.
