A kept secret. A life altered. A new journey. Ariane lived her life one book at a time. She would never have guessed those books were about to change everything. They led her to Orion.Tall, dark, with eyes only for her. The rest of the world ceased to exist when Orion was around. But during a fateful ash moon, he shifted into a wolf. Ari thought she was dreaming, but she’d recognize those eyes … dreaming, but she’d recognize those eyes anywhere.
Fiction became reality. Fantasy was actually history. And soon, Ari would learn her role in it.
A pack war was on the horizon, and she was the only one who could stop it.
Nothing would ever be as it once was, because Ariane was now part of the Avynwood Pack.

Holy HOTNESS!!! This book is the first of Michelle Dare’s that I have read and I am NOT disappointed…
I am a HUGE fan of paranormal and Michelle has done a fantastic job of giving us a paranormal world with a little twist to what we all know about Wolves and vampires…
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Orion/Rion and can’t get enough of him. He is so sweet, affectionate, caring, loving, dominating in a typical alpha macho way… he really loves and cares about Ari and will literally fight and die for her. Ariane/Ari is one very strong willed woman and will not bow to anyone even to Rion and his your my mate attitude.
I love the characters and the world Michelle has created for us in this book and I am totally hooked…
The hot addictive chemistry between Rion and Ari is hot and I NEED more, plus the funny and caring bond between Ari and Ford.
This book will have you hooked from the moment you start till the end…
Thank you Michelle for writing such a phenomenal book and I look forward to reading your other books
Oh my….oh my….oh my!!!!
Michelle Dare is going to have some ‘splaining to do!!!!
I can’t even begin to explain how outright giddy this book made me. The start is every bookworm’s dream. Legit, straight out of our own starry eyed night time fantasies. A meeting with your favorite author…turns into an unforgettable night!!!
But let’s not stop there!! Fangirling my way through these characters isn’t a good idea. I refuse to ruin the awesomeness that is in these pages But I will say I’m going to beg for more! The endless possibilities with this opening is so mind boggling and yet leaves me so ridiculously hopeful.
But back to The Ash Moon, oh my …oh my…oh my…
Swoon, sigh, stutter and faint! Is it possible that I have somehow reverted back to my hormonal teenage self!?! If not then how do we explain the giddy giggling, the stars in my eyes, and the debutante like swooning for men I only met this morning?
Explanation is either I regressed 20 years or…Michelle Dare has managed to work her magic and capture only the best parts of my inner teen. (Thank God, the bitchier parts are in hiding!) The Ash Moon will come alive before your eyes and somehow manage to pull you into its pages without you even realizing it. Be careful what you wish for because things have a habit of being more than real!
I can’t wait to find out where we go from here because as an honorary, not yet named new edition to this tale, clearly I’m going to be front and center for the next part of this adventure. Whether I have to beg, borrow, or main to get my copy, I will see this to the very end.

I am totally hooked on this book! I am so excited it’s a series. Shifter fans are going to be obsessed. This is the story of Ariane who one minute is a regular teenage girl who just wants to get through high school and then the next she is learning that the paranormal world she reads about in her books is real! As if that isn’t enough to deal with, one of the shifters Orion reveals that she is his mate. As they are getting to know each other and she is trying to accept all she is learning, she learns they are on the brink of the pack war and the other pack want her as well. She is special. Throw in a new vampire best friend and supernatural abilities and you have a totally awesome coming of age story. And it’s just getting started. As I said before, you will be hooked! And when you get to the end you will scream for more. I can’t wait to venture on. A must read/listen for paranormal romance fans. Also this narrator really brings Ariane and the characters alive. You’ll feel like she is telling you the story personally.
The Ash Moon (The Ariane Trilogy, Book 1) is a ya paranormal romance and is part of a trilogy. I absolutely loved this first audio in this trilogy. The concept is illustrious and it takes you on a unparagoned journey with humans, werewolf shifters, vampires and every lock stock and barrel in the paranormal world. I loved the characters as I found them to be complex with intriguing personalities. This is a really good start to a ya paranormal triology and I’m looking forward to listening to more books.
Chandra Skyye is a new narator as I never listened to her before and I really revel in her performance. She gave each character their own voice. Her inflection was smooth and consistent and changed with the right sentiments when needed.
Overall, a entertaining listen
This is the start of a wonderful journey…

3.5 Stars !!!!
The story of Ariane and Orion is what i would consider a coming of age , young adult, paranormal romance. It is for sure a slow burn . Ariane is normally 18 year old girl who loves to read paranormal romance by her favorite author Lealla . All of these are based on wolf shifters . Soon Ariane will find that are books are more than a work of fiction. That everything that happens in them is real . Orion meets Ariane and learns that she is mate, his one true love . Can he convince her who he assumes is a normal human that wolf shifters are real and what they are to each other. We also meet Ariane’s best friends Paige and Bray or an a vampire who she has a strong bond with named Ford. Lealla is actually a physic who knew Ariane was coming . That she would be a catalyst in the war to come between two packs. A pack that has way more history than they all know . If you love paranormal romance than this book is for you . I am jumping into the next book now.
4.5 stars!!
I’m a huge fan of this author and will read anything she writes. The characters were fantastic and the storyline was absolutely magical. It’s an original and exciting story
This was such a great start to a great series!!! Ari, Rion, Ford all great characters! I mean I would absolutely love it if I found out my favorite series was real!!! To find out your mates to a shifter and also important in an up coming war. That would be enough to break anyone but Ari is such a strong character. I cant wait to see what comes of her new world.

In the beginning it was a little hard to get into, but don’t give up or you will regret it. Once you are sucked in you won’t want to put it down. I loved the direction this book took. It is not your typical paranormal romance which is what I loved. The play on romance author and book signing. So many feelings and things to love in this book. The characters blew me away. I can’t wait for the next one. It is a great book for adults and teens. I recommended it to my 12 year old daughter.
Fantastic read
The Ash Moon by Michelle Dare is a wonderful story. This is book number one in this wonderful series and and a brand new author for me. It ends with a cliff hanger so I can not wait to read the next story in this series I loved this story. I highly recommend this story to everyone.

5 Alpha Filled Stars!!!
Michelle Dare has done it again!!! She’s one of my fav authors. I absolutely love her Iridescent Realms Series. When I found out she was going back into the paranormal world I jumped for joy.
Ariane AKA Ari and her best friend Paige head to a book signing for her favorite author. Ari brought the whole series to get the author Lealla to sign them. When Lealla invites her back to her house for an after party Ari wasn’t expecting that her entire life was going to change.
Ari meets Orion the cover model for the upcoming book in the series. When they shake hands Ari feels a spark but doesn’t think twice about it. Ari ended up having the best night of her life.
Ari never thought she’d see him again until he reached out to her on Facebook. The next time they hang out he brings her back to Lealla’s house where they’re all talking about her paranormal series as it’s real life. Ari thinks she’s going crazy.
Orion AKA Rion asks her to reread the series again from the beginning and he’ll answer all her questions the next time they go out.
The next time they go out he drives her into the Forrest by his house. Rion asks her to trust him. Under the light of the ash moon he turns into a beautiful wolf and Ari realizes the books she’s been reading or based on true life. Rion lets Ari know that they’re story is next in the series to be read.
If that wasn’t crazy enough. Ari meets Ford a vampire. He’s a frenemy of Rion’s. Ford reads Ari mind constantly and loves egging Rion on. I’m not gunna lie Ford had me lmao from the minute he appeared to the end of the book.
Rion is part of the Avynwood Pack and they’ve been at war with the Diaminsey Pack for years and years. They’re responsible for Rion parents death. Everybody keeps telling Ari she’s the catalyst and she’s the key to stopping the war. She’s not sure what to think of everything.
Rion keeps letting her know she’s his mate. He’ll take things slow so she can catch up. But, until they’ve actually mated she’s up for grabs by any wolf and even then they can challenge Rion for her hand.
Then there’s Ford. He might get under her skin at times but he’s quickly becoming her best friend next to Paige.
If that wasn’t enough for her to grasp she’s being teleported into her dreams. Luckily for her Ford has stepped in every time and gotten her out. He even gives her a way to get herself from one place to another in case he can’t get there fast enough.
While she’s grasping that she meets a beautiful white wolf. He’s like her a traveler and is the only other person that can help her grasp what’s going on in her dreams. His name is Wake and he’s Rion’s cousin. They were more like brothers until he was cast out of their pact and he went to Diaminsey pact. He says he’s here to help but nobody knows what’s to believe or next.
Rion, Ford, Wake are just 3 out of the many alpha’s that are in this story. But, they’re all a different type of alpha. Some intense, some moody and the vibe on others. It’s hard to love one more then the other bc they’re all swoon worthy. There’s a few new guys to add to your book boyfriend list.
That’s just a quick basic gist of what’s going on. Yet, there’s still sooooooo much more. I read this in less then 4hrs bc I couldn’t put it down!! Then, that cliffhanger OMG I need more!!!
I’m also dying for more Ford and Wake. Michelle hopefully is writing quick bc I want them all lol.
She lives her life one book at a time and she never knew it would change everything she ever knew. They led her to him and his eyes drew her in. She even knew him when he was a wolf. What is going to happen to them? See how they get on

The Ash Moon was a pleasant surprise. To be honest it took me a minute to really get into the storyline. Ariane, at first, seemed very child like with her thought process. After the story began evolving a bit the book got better and my interest was piqued. By the end I was completely hooked. I definitely enjoyed the differences in The Ash Moon compared to the everyday cookie cutter paranormal books. Michelle Dare set herself and the book apart in the world she created and I look forward to what comes next.
This is the first book in what promises to be a fabulous paranormal series by Michelle Dare. I’ll be the first to say that paranormal romance isn’t my go-to but this author pulled me into the story and introduced me to her awesome characters and I was hooked.
Ariana appears to be a normal eighteen-year-old girl who loves her two best friends and the books of her favorite paranormal romance author. Upon meeting said author, Ariane’s lackluster life takes on a new direction, one filled with werewolves, vampires, and other paranormals. Orion, who apparently is Ariane’s fated mate, is swoon worthy and Ford the smart-mouthed vampire may want more than just a friendship with the young woman. What follows is a journey that will test what Ariane is made of and the humans she is friends with.
Ms. Dare builds a world filled with loyalty, family, magic, and love. Her characters are well-developed, with realistic reactions and emotions. The action is well-paced and the dialogue and banter witty and fun. What would you do if everything you thought was fictional was actually real? Grab this book and join Ariane on her journey to her new reality.
I loved the story of Ari and Orion. Ford definitely adds to the mix and the rest of the characters are very believable. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what happened!

Ariane Sanderly never imagined the rollercoaster ride she was in for by meeting one of her all-time favorite authors. Her immersion into a world she previously believed to be fictional, has opened so many new opportunities for the frequently overlooked teenager.
Orion Raines has searched for her for a lifetime. Now that he’s found her, he will do everything in his power to protect her.
I had no idea what to expect with this book. I’m happy to say I loved it. I greatly enjoyed experiencing the heroine finding herself and who she’s meant to be. It was refreshing to find the hero was supportive and very attentive to her needs.
I found myself completely enthralled with the storyline and am impatiently awaiting the next book in this storyline. I am happy I stepped out of my own comfort zone and read this book.
I have read many of this author’s works and am extremely impressed with her ability to master so many sub-genres within romance.
