The Artist’s Inheritance is an eerie paranormal from start to finish. With equal parts haunting, possession, relationships, and magical realism, Juli D. Revezzo weaves a stunning masterpiece for paranormal lovers. Using descriptive narration, the reader can’t help but feel a part of the story. The POV is all Caitlin but that adds to the suspense of the overall plot. You feel every emotion she feels, from anxiety to confusion to panic to even claustrophobia, which added another layer to the story. The plot itself starts out slow but picks up speed as you continue reading. The characters are realistic and relatable. I’m not sure what I’d do in Caitlin’s place but after reading, I was an emotional wreck. The paranormal scenes are well done with plenty of spookiness to cause shivers to slide up your spine. The Artist’s Inheritance is a brilliant paranormal and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

Hits all the spooky sweet spots!
Bravo! Revezzo stirs up a sparkling blend of danger, magic, and romance in The Artist’s Inheritance, book one in her Antique Magic series. Others have detailed the plot, so I’ll just share why I loved the story so much.
Firstly, the author skillfully draws you into an ordinary world where the extraordinary unfolds and feels real. Equally good, she crafts that world so vividly the reader sees and experiences everything along with the characters. The paranormal elements are likewise handled with expertise so that the magic, ghosts, spells & curses, etc, are entirely believable. The setting with its mysterious old house complete with a spooky attic, plus the hero’s antique business, added just the right ambiance for such a haunting tale. There are a few other spooky threads (all well-crafted) but I’m leaving them out to avoid spoilers. Romance also scores high with a powerful love between the hero and his heroine. Secondary characters were also engaging and I hope to see them in future books in the series. (especially Caitlin’s friends)
The pacing is excellent and the story so good, the book invites a one-sitting read. In fact, I really regret that I didn’t have time to do just that.
Bottom line: If you enjoyed Dark Shadows, Twilight Zone, or just love anything supernatural, The Artist’s Inheritance is a must read. Highly recommended.
