A sweet, swoony and lovely romance about two people – Lucas and Bianca – who fall wildly in love (and lust) when they least expect it. Bianca’s journey to self-love and discovery was 100% relatable. Lucas’ hopelessly romantic nature was the perfect foil to Bianca’s past experiences. Their sexy chemistry was fun and perfectly dirty. Plus this book has a good tale of adventure and travel – and an exploration of love in its many, many forms. Grab ‘Mile High’ first (the free prequel novella) and enjoy Lucas and Bianca back-to-back. You won’t regret it.
After Mile High, I was dying to find out what happens next with Lucas and Bianca. B. Cranford blew all my expectations out of the water.
The time after they deplane is still just as hot, scorchingly so, but my heart ached for them both as they tried to make sense of what they felt and how fast it happened. I loved Bianca’s journey of self-discovery before she could allow herself to be loved as she deserved. And Lucas is without a doubt my favorite B. Cranford boyfriend. He’s unapologetic and open with his feelings and is man enough to let his vulnerability shine through, which made him only hotter.
As usual, this story has amazing side characters and a ton of laughs. No one writes awesome witty banter like Beth.
5 stars for this beautifully written duet that makes me believe in love at first sight not mind the long flight to Australia if there’s a Lucas on board.
The Arrival of You is book to in the Mile High Duet. This book picks up right where book 1 leaves off so you MUST read book 1 first! This was such a sweet, wonderful read for me. I loved these characters and really enjoyed the story line as well. My heart broke for everything that Bianca was going through even though there were several times I just wanted to yell at her to open her eyes because Lucas was not her two timing ex! The instant chemistry between the two of them was off the charts and there were also many moments that had me laughing out loud.
I loved all of the characters, well not Bianca’s no good ex, but all of the other ones that we get to meet. I am dying to get my hands on Lucas’s sister Rose’s story next!

I loved this story. I don’t get torqued up over fiction when the relationships get a little over the top because, well, it’s fiction. That said, I love when relationships have all the feels and Luc and Bianca’s relationship has it. And some. What started as a hot and steamy romance settled in nicely with emotions and dialogue that could have been real convos. The H/h are developed with each owning their own baggage and pasts and are as accepting of each other as best they can be as they figure things out. Luc was my fav of the two and has taken over the top spot for as my book boyfriend.
B, you did it again
This was a perfect ending to the Mile High duet. I loved this sweet, sexy, learning about yourself, second chance novel.
Bianca and Miles have this instant chemistry that is off the charts, but I am so happy that despite that, Bianca sticks to her plan of traveling and learning about herself. After 13 years in a relationship I think that stepping back from the instant attraction she found with Lucas and coming to terms with everything that happened to her is the best thing any woman can do. She needed to find and re-love herself before letting anyone else in.
And poor sexy Lucas. I love a hero that isn’t afraid and actively looking for love. He needed Bianca to leave so that he could understand himself more too. I know it was so hard for him, but I just keep thinking of the quote, “If you love someone let them go, for if they return they were always yours.” He needed to let her go…had he not, he might have lost her.
I truly enjoyed this book, and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that the interaction with Lucas’s family may have been some of my favorite parts. His dad is a hoot.
Finally, I do have a question, did anyone else most of read this story with a really bad Australian accent?
The Arrival of You was every bit as swoony and heart pounding as the prequel, Mile High, promised.
This book reveals what happens to Bianca and Lucas once they touch down in Australia. Bianca’s reticent about opening her heart again, whereas Lucas falls in love at the drop of a hat.
It’s clear that these two characters are meant for each other, but the skill of the writer is in bringing these two together in a natural, believable way.
Getting the sceptic and the romantic into the same headspace was quite the circle to square, but the author did a great job of writing their story. A couple of neat twists and turns along the way were nice surprises but the book always ended up where this reader wanted it to and I was feeling extremely satisfied by the end. Another great read.
B. Cranford’s writing was captivating in The Arrival of You which is the continuation and conclusion of Mile High.
I liked this story of Bianca searching for and finding her true self after her life turned upside down. She and Lucas met on a plane to Australia. They both immediately felt a connection so strong they didn’t want to lose it even after landing, going on their seperate ways was out of the question. Even though it obviously was Bianca with some life altering revelations and soul searching to do but as it turned out Lucas also needed to have some reflections of his own. Luc was caring, loving and a hopeless romantic – according to his sister. Well, according to me he was a great guy. I liked both of them as individuals and together as a couple too. I loved their conversations, their wit. They both had to come to terms with past disappointments and also accept and nurture their new feelings leading to a brand new life. I was glad some of the characters from She Found Him made an appearance. I absolutely loved the epilogue.
This book is everything I’ve come to expect from B. Cranford. It is filled with heat, heart, and a happily-ever-after. The story is beautifully written, and the characters were easy to fall in love with. As with all of B. Cranford’s books, I felt like I knew these characters through and through. I wanted them to succeed as if they were really my friends, and I missed them a little bit when I finished the final page.
In Mile High, we were left wondering what would happen when they landed, and I was not disappointed in the least by what they found. Lucas continued to be perfect book boyfriend material. He was loving, caring, and understanding of Bianca’s needs. And Bianca. She was sassy, smart, and ready for her second chance after everything she had been through. I absolutely loved watching her open her heart to Lucas and herself.
This book further confirms that if B. Cranford felt like sending me her grocery list, I would not only read it, I’m sure I would be convinced I needed the exact same things! I absolutely adore the way she is able to bring all the feels in a believable and captivating story. I can’t wait to see what she’ll have for us next.
The Arrival of You is the conclusion of the Mile High Duet. Book one started with Bianca and Lucas meeting on the fifteen hour flight to Australia, and this book picks up after they land. Their attraction to each other is instant and obvious, but they are both healing and questioning their ability to pick a good partner, so they have some baggage to handle before they can have a good relationship. They aren’t doubting each other so much as they are each doubting themselves and their ability to recognize a truly good fit vs. what seems like a good fit on the surface.
This book is well written, there is great chemistry, and B. Cranford really makes the reader feel the emotions of her characters. As a reader, you feel invested and need to see this through to the HEA, which is delivered after a few bumps in the road. B. Cranford can write the bumps and angst just as well as the happy, which makes this a well-balanced, engaging and interesting read that keeps the reader glued to the book.
I loved everything about this book.
The thing about love is when you are looking for it the least is when it will sneak up and get you.
There was such a range of emotion in this book.
I won’t give anything a way but I loved every description and every person in this book.
I especially love that Rose was with us again for some of the book.
Lucas and Bianca are adorable and I sure hope at some point we get to see them again.
Lucas and Biancas story continues in this book, with their whirlwind plane romance starting as soon as the plane lands. Bianca however doesn’t trust her gut anymore when it comes to men, and still feels like she has to find herself before committing to another relationship after her failed marriage. When she goes on to travel, Lucas is upset, but tries to be understanding. While she’s away, he also has a breakthrough on his past with relationships. When a wrench is thrown into both their lives, they have to decide whether or not they are meant to be. I’d recommend this book.
Lost and Found
Let’s just get this out of the way, Lucas Hawke is the ultimate book boyfriend. Sexy, smart, kind, funny, sweet, patient, patient, patient. Did I say patient? I loved everything about Luc, I loved his honesty and introspectiveness, and I loved how he stuck it out when it was unbearably hard. He is what all heroes should be!
Absolutely loved Lucas and Bianca. This story is about second chances, starting over, and finding real love. These characters were so wonderful to read about.
Faith Over Fear!
The Arrival of You is a masterful story about friendship, faith, finding love, and second chances. B. Cranford once again introduces us to captivating, conflicted characters and weaves in witty banter and scorching chemistry. The result is a journey of feels and electric connection. Lucas and Bianca will remind you to fight for who you are and what you want. You just might get it. And that is a bit of magic, just like hope and love.
“May your choices reflect your hopes and not your fears.” -Nelson Mandela
What starts out as instant attraction on an airplane trip to Australia turns into so much more when the plane touches down for Bianca and Lucas. Filled with the sense of changing oneself for the better, B. Cranford once again created beautiful characters that the reader cannot help but fall in love with. This is a story not only about figuring out what you really want but also finding out what really maters. Hot, emotional and downright enjoyable this was a fabulous read.
“What happens when the plane lands?”
I was so excited to read the continuation of Bianca and Lucas. It’s almost as if I had a stake in this relationship! They both had their own issues to work through; Bianca’s we knew from the beginning and Lucas’s we learn as the story unfolds.
So much self-reflection and introspection occurred for both Lucas and Bianca. Their journey to forever was exactly what they both needed. Their discoveries about themselves and each other was more meaningful apart before they came together.
I hope Beth revisits all these characters from “She Found Him,” and the “Mile High” and “The Avenue” series. Maybe a holiday crossover?
We met Lucas and Bianca in Mile High and the conclusion, The Arrival of You, is everything a reader could hope for in a story. Yes Bianca and Lucas have a crazy attraction and everything feels right when they are together, however both of them must go ona journey to find themselves. The realization that not every problem in previous relationships is one person’s fault is huge for both of them. How can they overcome their self doubts, self beliefs and the miles that separate them?
Ms. Cranford is an amazing story teller and I felt like I was right next to Bianca as she discovered Australia and learned a new language 🙂
First, did you read the prequel novella Mile High? Start there. it’s smokin’ hot, funny, and will suck you into these characters like a Hoover. Luc, an Australian guy with a heart bigger than the outback meets Bianca, whom we know from The Avenue books on a plane. 15 hours later, both have caught a case of the feels. I did, too. Bianca’s been burned, Luc is feeling like maybe he won’t find what he wants – someone to share his life with. From there, the story is rich with fun, tears, surprises and an HEA. These characters are genuine – you feel what they do. Ms. Cranford has, yet again, won over my heart and mind. Her books are full of people you wish you knew. Not because they’re super rich, live big lives or are larger than life. You want to know them because they feel like real people living real lives. Don’t forget to read the Mile High first!
This is the second book in the Mile High duet. You really need to read the first book to get the full benefit of this one. The first one is short, but well worth it. Now, to this book. Oh my swoony stars!!! Lucas has to be one of the best book boyfriends I have ever read. Every description you can think of that makes a perfect book boyfriend he has. He’s sexy, sweet, patient, swoony, funny, smart. Did I mention that he’s patient and sweet. And that he’s sexy. Ok, just making sure. Bianca’s story is definitely a journey. I loved watching as she works through her struggles. There were times I wanted to shake her, but she is very endearing and in truth I was really rooting for her from the start. Think of her as one of your BFFs that you love dearly even though you may not agree with all of her choices. You still want her to find happiness and are right there cheering her on when her when she does. Together, this couple is just perfect. You can’t help but fall in love with them and their story.
This book will make you feel. This author has a talent for making you feel all the emotions the characters are experiencing. Most of the time you just read a book, but with this author you experience the story. It’s a joy to read every book she writes. I cannot recommend this book, this duet, and this author enough.
The Arrival of You by B. Cranford was an emotionally packed, intense and beautifully written read. It was more than I could have asked for Lucas and Bianca’s story.
I loved the emotion in the novel. It made me feel as if I could connect to the characters at another level, and made them more relatable. It was a journey for both Bianca and Lucas, and I was glad to be there with them.
It got intense at times, in more than just one way. Their feelings for one another were intense, their passion was intense, their stories were intense, but it’s the kind of intensity that keeps you holding on. Swim in it, rather.
It also did not lack in the steam department. I mean, damn! Where do I find me my very own Lucas?
As for my opinion of Mason… Douchecanoe!!!
The Arrival of You is a wonderful tale set to take you on an emotional, intense journey of Bianca and Lucas’ lives with the added bomus of an imaginary all-around trip to Australia. A worthy and brilliant read.
