After reading this one, I immediately read the next four in the Alex Vane series. I enjoyed the characters and the stories were intriguing.
I
Fast moving, keeps you involved, can’t put it down!
This was a great page turning thriller. The author had me hooked right away with great characters and a great story. I had a hard time putting it down in order to go to work:-) This is the first in his series Alex Vane Thriller series. If his other books are as good as this one, it will be great for all of us who enjoy his writings.
In the story Alex Vane, a court report, uncovers a story that takes him into some dark places, with attemped murder on him and his friend, Camila. An anonymous source gives him a story about a huge merger of two news outlets. Alex finds out this is the story of a lifetime for him and it could help him make it into the tv media. During the story Alex’s feelings are torn when he has to face memories from his past as Camila does too. It was a very fast paced story with a lot of thrill and mystery. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is the first book in a series about newspaper reporter Alex Vane. The story begins as the twin towers fall. Everything in the story is centered around what is going on in our world today. It is entertaining, educational, believable and will keep your attention. All his characters are well developed, even the minor ones. The book is well written, suspenseful and maybe one or two editing errors. This author is a serious writer and you should give this series a try.
fabulous!
Reporter who learned you do not always like what you uncover.
Interesting concept — ‘who dunnit’ tracked down by a young journalist chasing down tips and leads.
Took me a little while to get interested but once I did I enjoyed it. I can see it happening in our country. There was net neutrality, a little romance, murder.
The author took a lot of pretty normal story lines and made them fascinating. Great writing.
unputdownable book
Well-written, intelligent, engaging. Moved a little slow at times. Much ado about a simple plot.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were very believable and the story was well told. Plenty of action and surprises.
Luckily I had the chance to read this before the Inverted Pyramid so both together made an exciting story with a good ending.
Sorry, I just couldn’t get into the story.
It kept me guessing right to the end.
Great read. Author has a way of writing where I couldn’t “skim” much. Found his use of words and thoughts integral to the plot and solution. Not much fluff here.
It was hard to put the book down. Very good.
A great read!!
Throughout the book; who is the anonymous source and what is the motivation?
Good read.
