FANGS & FAIRY DUST
5 Stars – “What I like about the book, aside from the mystery that this one brings to us, is that the author turns our expectations of the paranormal creatures around and gives the reader a new perspective. I really enjoy her writing. The story line is well done and paced to keep the reader’s interest.”
After being forced to end his lover’s life eighty years ago, Ryker returns to where it all happened. Now, the beautiful Aliza has been brutally attacked, but can Ryker relive the terrors of his past to help this woman he doesn’t even know?
BROKEN & BURNT
5 Stars – “I loved the selfless sassy female character and the relationship dynamics. The story had plenty of action, twists and turns, emotion, suspense and intrigue. I’d highly recommend this book!!”
Bree accidentally stabs an angel, and not just any angel, but one of the good guys. Injured Jaxon is too proud to return to the heavens and admit his failures. Instead, he allows the angel he was sent to destroy to nurse him back to health.
FLAME & FORTUNE
5 Stars – “Well written the author has a way of sucking you into the story in the first chapter and just does not let go! With a fab storyline this book is about Lena and Kieran and can be read on its own although I do wholly recommend this series spin offs and all!”
Lena’s in Hell, literally working for the Devil. When she’s given a chance to return to the mortal realm, she takes it, never expecting to find love. Kieran’s on a fast-track for CEO status, but when he uncovers corporate corruption, the help of a beautiful dark angel in need of a second chance is exactly what he needs.

I loved the different supernaturals in these stories. I enjoyed them all. I found them to be stories that pulled me in and held my undivided interest. Joynell Schultz is a fairly new author for me, but I love her writing. This is a great read for lovers of Paranormal Romance that I highly recommend. Happy Reading! P.S. No spoilers here.

The Angels of Sojourn Novella Box Set
Joynell Schultz
This was a great set of books in the Angels of Sojourn collection. I loved the storylines, and the characters. They were addicting. Once I started reading the books I did not want to stop. I burned through them all. They were not that long – much to my disappointment – so I was able to do so. If you like the series these books are a can’t miss.
Angels of Sojourn Series:
Burnt & Broken – I had to read all the Angels of Sojourn books that I had. Ms. Schultz just has a way about her: her writing style; her realistic characters; her understated sexual tension between characters; and her infrequent use of vulgar language. This is a well written story complete with a well though out plot and believable dialog that moves at a fast pace. I appreciate that while the angels once were human, they don’t behave as humans; sex, vulgar language and all the other stupidity. Her angels behave as angels, even the “tainted” or fallen angels are good, they’re just in a gray area. Their mistakes were actually to help someone in need or pain. There is plenty of suspense and intrigue in this short story. 5*
Blood & Holy Water #1 – I couldn’t put this book down without a fight. Another well written, well thought out story concerning an unusual vampire (I like what was done with this character) and a wingless angel. Enemies with the same goal, but different results gained, work together to solve the deaths of potential angels and murdered vampires, and the ties between the two groups. The characters are realistic and both have morals and ethics. The angel goes a little gray, but there’s so much involved in her decisions in trying to help the humans and potential angels. There’s intrigue and suspense, and the book moves at a fast pace. There’s sexual tension, but no sex – thank goodness this author treats angels as angels not sex starved humans without morals – and very infrequent vulgar language. 5*
Fangs & Fairy Dust #1.25- I enjoy Ms. Schultz’s stories, which I discovered in Hexes and Ohs, and was happy to find this collection. This is a well written and believable novella introducing the Angels of Sojourn Series, of which Blood & Holy Water is the first book. The main characters, a male vampire and a female human and her mother, are interesting and believable, along with action and dialog. It is fast paced and contains vivid descriptions making everything easy to visualize. Fortunately, it is not a cliffhanger. 4*
Fur & Feathers #2 – Read Blood & Holy Water and Bitten first before reading this book since the characters continue with their lives in this story. The Angels of Sojourn has been an interesting series of books. Well written with interesting storylines and characters woven with a vivid imagination to keep the reader immersed in the pages. I was not lucky enough to read these books in sequence, but I still enjoyed all the stories. Each adds to a wonderful, intriguing and mesmerizing world that runs the gamut of emotions, and actions and consequences, complete with a constantly moving pace. I contacted the author to review her books and have purchased her books, too. 5*
Flame & Fortune #2.5 – Another good addition to the Angels of Sojourn Series. Different from the other books in this series, this one is about embezzlement and second chances. She’s sent to earth to distract a human without knowing why. The story is fast paced, with good characters and dialog, and good storylines. There is emotion ranging from grief to happiness. I’ve read this series out of order and never felt lost or had spoilers ruining the other books. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Angels of Sojourn Series end.
Tales of Fairy Godmothers Series:
Trapped #2- Another lovely, heartwarming novella about trust, love and kindness, and loneliness. Almost dead when saved by one boy after his brother captured the fairy in a vent less jar while hunting for bugs. Cared for by the human until she returns to her fairy world, she returns every year on her birthday seeking the human boy. Their friendship grows and they learn of each other and their worlds. On her second to last trip back, their friendship is shaken. Making her last wish to encompass four days in his world, they sort, work and love their friendship back. There’s humor and sadness, but also joy in this well written, full of vivid descriptions novella. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 5*
Hidden #1- A lovely, heartwarming novella about discovery, love and kindness, and loneliness. Searching for her baby’s father leads a pregnant fairy to new adventures and learning experiences, and a vast change to her life, while she shares her godmother skills without her magic. There’s plenty of humor and danger included in this sweet story. 5*
Tales of Fairy Godmothers Series end.

This box set includes: Fangs & Fairy Dust, Broken & Burnt, and Flame & Fortune for your reading enjoyment. Below is a review of one of the books to give you an example of what you’ll find in this collection.
*** Reviewing FANGS & FAIRY DUST ***
A rogue vampire is on the loose running rampant, killing male victims, causing chaos in the city, and Ryker – a 300-year-old vampire now working for the Blood Board — must track and eliminate the rogue to keep their secrets safe. What he finds this time is a survivor, Aliza, who was bitten by this rampaging vampire and should be turning. She brings back memories of his past and his humanity. He is drawn to her, and with her peculiar reactions and being immune to his hypnosis, he is not sure what is so different about her. She has a secret that even she is unaware of. Will Ryker be able to perform his job, get his answers to track the rogue, and leave the city? Or will he find out what is different about Aliza that puts them on an entirely different path?
What I like about these stories, aside from the mystery that this one brings to us, is that the author turns our expectations of the paranormal creatures around and gives the reader a new understanding. I really enjoy her writing. The story lines are well done and paced to keep the reader’s interest. The characters draw you in as the reader finds they aren’t so bad after all. Grab your copy and enjoy these really good stories!
Three very good well written stories they are Fangs & Fairy Dust = Aliza and Ryker’s story
Broken & Burnt = Bree and Jaxon, a Highest Order Angel’s story
Flame & Fortune = Lena and Kieran’s story
Bitten (Bonus Prequel to Fur & Feathers) this looks like it is going to be a very good story.
All the stories have their own merits this is a set I recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a set of stand-alone novellas based in the Angels of Sojourn world. I thought it was interesting that each book focused on a particular type of paranormal being, vampire, angel, and demon.
In the first novella, ten men have been murdered in such a way that they lost a lot of blood. A vampire on the Blood Board investigates and attempts to control these types of events; he is dispatched to see if there is vampire involvement. He’s only just got to town when a new, but alive, female victim shows that the MO is perhaps evolving. In the second novella, a Highest Order Angel is sent to Earth to clip the wings of an angel who has stolen miracles and revealed herself to her human half-sister. His plans go awry, first when she asks to keep her wings just a little bit longer while her sister is dying and then when she accidentally injures him with his Sword of Light. His target’s compassion in assisting with his injuries makes him question what to do. In the final book, a woman who is sent to Hell to gather the lost souls each day is sent on a mission by the Unfortunate to distract a human. The man is a CEO, and it looks like he is going to be charged with embezzlement. His supposed crimes are tied in with the devil’s request, and now the CEO and this soul gatherer work together to clear his name…but is she really on his side?
The author is able to present these paranormal stories in such a way that the emotions and reactions of the characters seem realistically human. In the first story, you have a vampire who is so appalled by what he has done in his earlier days that he seeks to prevent others from causing harm. In detail, we understand his past and current struggles. But I was particularly drawn to the second story. The female angel whose wings were to be clipped was always acting selflessly, first for her sister and then for the angel who had come to take away her power. She nurtured him back to health, even knowing that at any moment, as soon as he got stronger, he could take her immortality. The struggles in all stories felt realistic even though in a paranormal setting, evoking sympathy and compassion for what they were going through.
the angels and supernaturals in this series ares enticingly weak, or brave, or often both.
the settings draw you in, and encourage you to read page, after page, book after book.
the biggest drawback? you keep wanting more!
the biggest bonus of this collection:
you get more – in one package!
prepare to be hooked!
I received advance copies of this book.
I have bought or borrowed most of the stories available in other books on Kindle and/or Kindle Unlimited.
My opinion:
I was really happy to find the tidbits in this collection that you cannot find elsewhere!

Great set of novellas that lets us get to know more couples set in the world and learn more about it and the overlapping events between the stories as we learn about each couple.
I love the Angels of Sojourn books – Ms. Schultz has created a world with angels which are not the usual risen human do-gooders, but fallible winged beings with the free will to make mistakes as well as atone for mistakes. Vampires are not just bloodthirsty fangsters and werewolves can be noble. No glitter or sparkles need apply.
Fangs and Fairy Dust takes the macho vampire and shows us his motivations and background to create a character worthy of associating with J.R. Ward’s Brotherhood of the Dagger, though much lighter and less mouthy. (I am sure Ryker would be mightily offended by that description – he thinks that he is a badass par excellent, thank you very much. Too bad Aliza disagrees.)
For Broken & Burnt, fallen angels are given the treatment that she gave to the angel in the first of the series – more human and fallible and with free will. Bree is definitely that and Jaxon for all the he has not fallen is no different. Check out Michael in the 2010 movie “Legion:; – there are definite similarities, although Bree and Jaxon are significantly sweeter and lighter.
In Flame & Fortune, it only seems fair for Ms. Schultz to re-write the Devil and the netherworld in a very different from the usual depictions. Redemption is a very real possibility. Not only is Schultz unsatisfied with creating very unusual angels and demons, she has to write one of the sweetest paranormal romances I have been privileged to read.
Bitten is a prequel to Book 2 in the series. Did you know that werewolves could be sweet, even youngsters? This is a very different treatment from Kelley Armstrong’s Clayton in “Men of the Otherworld”.
