BLOOD & HOLY WATER (Book 1)
5 Stars – “What I want is a book that will grab me by the nose and drag me in, regardless of the genre. I want characters who will engage me, and make me look up suddenly to realize that hours have passed without realizing it. I am happy to report that I have found this kind of read in Blood and Holy Water.”

SOULS & SHADOWS (Book 3)
5 Stars – “This book contains all the traits of the series – imagination, drama, twists and turns, warmth, loneliness, family, death, love, redemption, not necessarily in that order. And, as with all this author’s books, it is heartwarming.”

This was my first time reading this author and these book were amazing, I loved them all. They are a part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. The plot’s characters and word building for each book was amazing and pulled me in form the beginning. i loved all three but liked souls and shadows the best. It’s a interesting take on the angle of death it is well written fast paced and a great story line with Aron and Lily. Lilly has a vampire father and a fallen angel for a step mom, she tries to stay away form anything supernatural and doesn’t know someone is watching her. Aron collects souls and takes them where they need to go. I loved the connection between Aron and Lily, their story was well done with twists and turns. These stories were thrilling, entertaining and exciting form beginning to end and I highly recommend this set it’s a definite must for any fan and I can’t wait to read more!!!

Angels of Sojourn Series:
Burnt & Broken – I had to read all the Angels of Sojourn books that I had. Ms. Schultz just has a way about her: her writing style; her realistic characters; her understated sexual tension between characters; and her infrequent use of vulgar language. This is a well written story complete with a well thought out plot and believable dialog that moves at a fast pace. I appreciate that while the angels once were human, they don’t behave as humans; sex, vulgar language and all the other stupidity. Her angels behave as angels, even the “tainted” or fallen angels are good, they’re just in a gray area. Their mistakes were actually to help someone in need or pain. There is plenty of suspense and intrigue in this short story. 5*
Blood & Holy Water #1 – I couldn’t put this book down without a fight. Another well written, well thought out story concerning an unusual vampire (I like what was done with this character) and a wingless angel. Enemies with the same goal, but different results gained, work together to solve the deaths of potential angels and murdered vampires, and the ties between the two groups. The characters are realistic and both have morals and ethics. The angel goes a little gray, but there’s so much involved in her decisions in trying to help the humans and potential angels. There’s intrigue and suspense, and the book moves at a fast pace. There’s sexual tension, but no sex – thank goodness this author treats angels as angels not sex starved humans without morals – and very infrequent vulgar language. 5*
Fangs & Fairy Dust #1.25- I enjoy Ms. Schultz’s stories, which I discovered in Hexes and Ohs, and was happy to find this collection. This is a well written and believable novella introducing the Angels of Sojourn Series, of which Blood & Holy Water is the first book. The main characters, a male vampire and a female human and her mother, are interesting and believable, along with action and dialog. It is fast paced and contains vivid descriptions making everything easy to visualize. Fortunately, it is not a cliffhanger. 4*
Fur & Feathers #2 – Read Blood & Holy Water and Bitten first before reading this book since the characters continue with their lives in this story. The Angels of Sojourn has been an interesting series of books. Well written with interesting storylines and characters woven with a vivid imagination to keep the reader immersed in the pages. I was not lucky enough to read these books in sequence, but I still enjoyed all the stories. Each adds to a wonderful, intriguing and mesmerizing world that runs the gamut of emotions, and actions and consequences, complete with a constantly moving pace. I contacted the author to review her books and have purchased her books, too. 5*
Flame & Fortune #2.5 – Another good addition to the Angels of Sojourn Series. Different from the other books in this series, this one is about embezzlement and second chances. She’s sent to earth to distract a human without knowing why. The story is fast paced, with good characters and dialog, and good storylines. There is emotion ranging from grief to happiness. I’ve read this series out of order and never felt lost or had spoilers ruining the other books. 4*
Souls & Shadows #3 – Another hard to put down story from a good author. We have met Lily from Blood & Holy Water and Aron from Fur & Feathers and some minor characters, too. Well written with a fast pace and an imaginative approach to this common genre. The descriptions still pull the reader into the story, along with realistic dialog and mature behavior; none of that stupidity formulas that is so common nowadays. Although not necessary, I recommend reading all the Angels of Sojourn books in order. This is one of the better series available. It’s hard to give a review on this series without wanting to give spoilers. 5*
Angels of Sojourn Series end.
Tales of Fairy Godmothers Series:
Hidden #1- A lovely, heartwarming novella about discovery, love and kindness, and loneliness. Searching for her baby’s father leads a pregnant fairy to new adventures and learning experiences, and a vast change to her life, while she shares her godmother skills without her magic. There’s plenty of humor and danger included in this sweet story. 5*
Trapped #2- Another lovely, heartwarming novella about trust, love and kindness, and loneliness. Almost dead when saved by one boy after his brother captured the fairy in a vent less jar while hunting for bugs. Cared for by the human until she returns to her fairy world, she returns every year on her birthday seeking the human boy. Their friendship grows and they learn of each other and their worlds. On her second to last trip back, their friendship is shaken. Making her last wish to encompass four days in his world, they sort, work and love their friendship back. There’s humor and sadness, but also joy in this well written, full of vivid descriptions novella. 5*
Tales of Fairy Godmothers Series end.
The Angels of Sojourn box set is a treat for all supernatural and urban fantasy fans. These three full length books not only feature angels but also demons, vampires, fae, werewolves and hybrids. Joynell Schultz creates wonderful characters and entertaining storylines that combine plenty of gritty action and rather sweet romance. It is great to have these books available in one set as you will want more once you start reading. I loved these books and highly recommend them.
This set contains the three main novels in the Angels of Sojourn series. There are also four novellas that can be obtained as well. I read all three of these books individually and rated each five stars, for reference.
The Angels of Sojourn series delivers on it’s title and features angels as the main characters. Each angel (in the novels and novelllas) is very unique and most hold different stations as well. These angels aren’t something you’ve read before, so be prepared for a very interesting ‘new world’. The books feature an assortment of other characters too, including vampires and werewolves. So there’s something for everybody.
All of the books are clean (no steam factor) romances and stand alone well enough. The last book should really come after the first to get the full affect, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Mrs. Schultz does a wonderful job world building as well as making us fall in love with her characters.
These were a a good set of books. i enjoyed each story. One of the best parts of this is that you have a lot of different paranormal creatures involved. I also enjoyed the characters. If you are looking for a new set of urban fantasy books than I would definitely check this out.
Story telling at it’s best! I love every book I’ve read by Ms. Schultz. She has a wonderful imagination and a superior gift for story telling. I’ve spent many a night reading away to even daylight sometimes. This set is no exception. I just couldn’t stop reading! Excellent set!
Werewolves, and demons and fae- oh my! Angels and vampires and hybrids aplenty.
If you thought you understood a neoclassical hierarchy of angels and demons, in this collection you will meet beings that will transform those ideas and understandings, as well as growing and changing themselves and those around them
Re-shaping the rules, having very fallible feelings and imperfect actions.
A fun and empathetic group that painstakingly and painfully work through danger and tough moments- sometimes really long ones.
Fantastic fantasy saga!

This box set includes: Blood & Holy Water (Book 1), Fur & Feathers (Book 2), and Souls & Shadows (Book 3). I enjoyed each one of them! Below is a review to give you an idea of what you’ll find – and you’ll love these stories!
*** Reviewing “BLOOD & HOLY WATER – BOOK ONE ***
Dr. Fin O’Brian hadn’t fed in days. He walked down the emergency room corridor with a syringe of blood, but he had to lose his invisible stalker, an angel who had been following him for a month. He entered the physician’s lounge and had to wait until another doctor left. But then he felt the angel’s presence again and thought it had come for his soul. He demanded a face-to-face conversation and, to his surprise, a young female without wings appeared! She was stunned he could both sense her and see her! Ava has been trying to earn her wings for over 100 years and somehow believes Fin has some part to play with the miracle she needs to accomplish this. Wings would mean she could visit Earth at her discretion and work directly with humans. Fin, however, wants her to leave him alone so he can do his job and help his patients coming through the ER. He was so different from what Ava knew of other vampires. He didn’t drink from humans, could be in the sun, could interact with angels, and cared for humans. So peculiar.
To prove herself to Fin, whose skill, kindness, and empathy had greatly impressed her, Ava sought out his dying patient. Ava could do something about her intense pain despite morphine, but she’d need to step out of Sojourn and into the human world to become physical. Then she took Gwen’s pain into herself.
As Fin was ready to leave, a female vampire came into the hospital! He raced out another door, wondering why she was there and wondering if it had anything to do with the angel. When he saw Ava again, she denied knowing about the vampire and helped him search for her with no luck.
When Ava went to ask Simon, her advisor who assigns her miracles, some questions about Fin, she overheard him say to someone that two potential angels were found dead before they could cross over. At the same time Fin, looking again at a letter he received, is being called by the Chair of the Blood Board to help with a vampire issue — vampires are turning up dead instead of disintegrating into ash. Fin, who always avoided his own kind, cannot ignore the summons. Ava has a feeling that the dead angels have something to do with Fin based on the tingling she feels. She won’t walk away from him, still sure he is her miracle, even though he tries to get her away from danger. Can they figure out how to work together to solve the two mysteries? And what will happen to them then?
I really loved this book. The story line never lags at all, moving at a perfect pace and pulling the reader in. Both main characters are so different from the stereotypes and can’t figure each other out. But can they work together to solve this serious situation that affects both angels and vampires? Grab this box set and enjoy some wonderful stories!

I love the Angels of Sojourn books – Ms. Schultz has created a world with angels which are not the usual risen human do-gooders, but fallible winged beings with the free will to make mistakes as well as atone for mistakes. Vampires are not just bloodthirsty fangsters and werewolves can be noble. No glitter or sparkles need apply. If you are looking for sweet yet inspiringly different paranormal romance, this is where you find it.
