Absolutely loved this book. Months later I look back on which stories I can actually recall and this one beats all of them. Would love to read another of this author books. She dreams you through the story and ends with a bang. Then you wake up wishing it hasn’t ended.
Linda has the uncanny ability to create an epic love story that is still organic and flows seamlessly. Her world-building and character development are mind-blowing! Each of her carefully crafted dual love stories embody passion and connection.
This story centers on a pair of twins, George, Viscount Hexham, and Lady Angelica. Both siblings fall fast and hard in love with their prospective love matches. Lady Anne is a friend of Angelica, and she and George fall in love at their first meeting. Sir Benjamin is an astronomer that just moved into the house by Angelica. The two meet under the stars and fall hopelessly in love.
The four main characters were brilliant. I enjoyed the male leads because neither was a rake. They were responsible, educated, kind, and respectful gentlemen. This was a refreshing change for all the rogues I usually read. Although similar in temperament, there is quite the difference in the two gentlemen’s station and age. Anne is very young and idealistic. George is her perfect match. Their connection is immediate and oh so sweet! I enjoyed reading about their romantic journey. Angelica is slightly older, and both she and Benjamin are a little jaded and shy. I related to this couple more. It is fascinating to watch their relationship evolve.
Reading about how each couple finds each other was a delight. The development of both plot and characters combined with the rich worlds the author has created makes for an epic, entertaining read! I always know I am in for a special treat when I open a book in one of the Aristocracy series. A devilishly good page-turner!
This Victorian novella is a sweet romp in the snow. Angelica is a spirited miss who is not afraid of rushing off in her dressing gown to confront suspected peeping toms or throwing things at her brother when he annoys her. Ben is enchanted with her from their first face-to-face meeting, and their subsequent romance is fun to watch.
The first book in The Heirs of the Aristocracy series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I will warn do not start at bedtime, as I was not putting the book down until I had finished reading it. George, Viscount Hexham, and Lady Anne, and also Sir Benjamin an Astronomer and Lady Angelica’s story. I enjoyed reading this story. I want to read the rest of this series.
The Heirs of The Aristocracy book 1: George, Viscount Hexham, is thunderstruck when he meets Lady Anne in the park. He cannot get her off his mind. His brother, Gabe, is happy to act as a matchmaker, never once mentioning he might already be acting on behalf of the other side. Can two who are so perfectly matched end up married before Anne must endure her first season in London? Meanwhile, a neighbor appears to be spying on George’s twin sister through the telescope in his garden observatory. An incensed Lady Angelica is determined to give him a piece of her mind. Sir Benjamin may also end up with her heart, as mistletoe and moonlight work their magic..- This is a good romance, but it gets confusing. There are two courtships, numerous friends, siblings, parents, estates, town homes, and servants. They are part of the story. I wish I had made a chart at the beginning of the book. Not having done so slowed my reading. I particularly liked Lady Anne and her beau. They had interesting conversations and good chemistry. Anne’s dog had a cute name.
At first, I was a little confused. There were so many people being introduced and telling bits of the story. Once that settled down, I enjoyed the journeys of Angel and Ben, and Anne and George. The instant attractions and complete belief they belonged together made it interesting. Though things did seem a little rushed, it was a good story. Angel was such a nice wonderful woman, and Anne need what she wanted even though she had yet to really experience life. The men were willing to love these two women no matter what. A good story with a lot happening.
I received a copy of this story through CBR Services, and this is my unsolicited review.
Novel storyline with less of the prudish behaviour patterns observed. The characters don’t really flesh out why they feel free to diverge from the obvious expectation of moral behaviour, but it doesn’t impede the storyline at all.
I enjoyed all of the romances happening in one story.
I did enjoy this two-for-one regency-themed romance story. I like the female twin story better because she was a bit more feisty and strong-willed whereas the other couple was a little bit more reserved. Although I do like that you get a taste of another temperament as well, it all balances out and comes together for an entertaining diversion. I really wish that the two main female characters had less similar names, it really caused confusion when trying to really get to know the characters.
A nice, feel good book . A happy read
Loved this book. You won’t be able to put it down. Characters are riveting

The Angel of an Astronomer (The Heirs of the Aristocracy #1) by Linda Rae Sande
Reviewed for Candid Book Reviews
Sande proves that a conversation of the heart is the most beautiful song that anyone can write. The Angel of an Astronomer plays an unpredictable melody that haunted me from beginning to end. Love at first sight takes emotions on a delightful serenade that stirred up heart tingles in my soul. My heart never ceases to feel a little lighter and my smile a whole lot wider after reading Linda Rae Sande.
Viscount Hexham, George Grandby, wants to wed and have the same marriage like his parents. He is just twenty-one but he does not want to run around town drinking and gambling. He takes an early seat in Parliament and needs his wits about him. He and sister were enjoying a ride around Hyde Park in the winter. There was hardly anyone in the park. But then he noticed a curricle, with a young lady that took his breath away.
Lady Anne Wellingham, the daughter of the Earl of Trenton, was out for a ride with her brother. She was introduced to Hexham. Lady Anne so wanted children and her own home. She was ready to get started.
Lady Angelica Grandby, daughter of the Earl of Torrington, was a twin. Her brother, George was the heir. George needed a hostess so she had accompanied him. He was to get his writ of acceleration. He was to take his father’s seat so the earl can retire. His father had arranged a meeting for Angelica with Sir Benjamin Fulton. His older brother got the title and he had four girls so Ben was the heir.
Sir Ben Fulton received a knighthood for discovering a comet. He bought a place in London and had an observatory built for his telescope.
I very much enjoyed the story. It was about two couples and their families. It was witty, at times funny but always sweet. The characters were wonderful and full-bodied. The plot was strong and well written. The bantering between the couples and their siblings was great. It was an entertaining tale and kept your attention. Well worth the time to read and I highly recommend it.

I like happily ever after endings!
A funny and entertaining story with matchmaking relatives, too eager ladies, and uncommon suitors. Lady Anne and Viscount Hexham were both smitten, enthralled and enchanted! A funny pair that made me chuckle a lot. Poor Hexham! He was out of his league! No wonder his sister was bullying him most of the time. Bad sister. You must help him. Lady Angelica’s character was bold, daring and passionate. She almost made me blush! These ladies were not shy violets! Straight to the point! And yes, it was a bit confusing to track which characters went with each family, but the fun was worth the extra effort. Lady Anne and Gabe’s parents left me intrigued. I had not read their story. I’m going for their book next.
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Sande delivers a delightfully entertaining double romance, as is her Modis Operandi, in “The Angel Of An Astronomer”.
The author’s world building and character development are top notch in this page turner. I can hardly wait to read the next volume in this series.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.
In this light-hearted Regency romance, more than one love story is told. At first, I found the number of characters introduced a little confusing but as the novel ensued, it all panned out. This book is well written and entertaining with a good dose of romance as two young couples seek their happily ever after.
On her way to London, Lady Angelica discovers from her twin brother that she is being set up by her meddling father to marry a man she has never met. Reluctantly she agrees with her brother to host a dinner party where she will meet him and make her decision. Shortly after arriving in London, George and Angelica take a ride in the park and come across Lady Anne and her brother. If the measure of love at first sight is an electrical charge, George gets that as a clap of thunder shakes the earth. Lady Anne would rather avoid a season altogether, not wanting to participate in the competition, gossip and backbiting that inevitably comes with the marriage mart. Despite George’s youth, he has a good head on his shoulders, and when Gabe whispers in his ear that Anne wants to marry as soon as possible, George immediately springs into action.
On the first night in London, what she thought was a peeping tom, has her marching next door to their new neighbour to give him a tongue lashing. Sir Benjamin Fulton is delighted with his new telescope and as he surveys the planets in his new observatory, he is surprised by the sharp tongue of a beautiful woman accusing him of nefarious deeds. Inadvertently he introduces himself by his given name and leads Angelica to believe that he is without a title. A delightful romance ensues as the couple gets to know each other through the lens of a telescope, but unfortunately at some point, the truth has to be told.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel with its quirky humour, witty exchange and entrancing characters. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
