Returning to the place where you were born—after vanishing into thin air—is bound to be eventful, and there’s no guarantee of what you’ll find when you come back. Abandoned in the middle of America when she was a child, Alex Kelley has come home. When she gets off of a plane and ends up in a familiar little shop in Greenwich Village where the merchandise is odd and exceptionally rare, she’ll … rare, she’ll unleash the secrets that have been waiting for her since the day she disappeared twenty-one years ago—the night her mother was viciously murdered.
But some family secrets are best left buried, because Fitheach blood doesn’t just run through the veins—it’s a binding contract that can never be broken.
Find out why every stranger on the streets of Manhattan wants to get their hands on the pendant she wears around her neck—the one her mother gave her days before the murder.
WARNING: This is not a standalone book. THE BLOOD THIEF continues where The AMULET THIEF ends, and THE DESTINY THIEF will culminate into the stunning conclusion to a story that will have you glued to the pages until the very last word. Get some sleep while you can.

I liked the way that the author created a sense of unfolding drama around what was a very tragic situation for the main character. The emotional turmoil and bonding that took place kept me interested every step of the way.
Very brave writing.
It seemed like the story had potential but the main character was pretty stupid. Even after she was advised that her life was in danger she kept walking into really sketchy situation and then had to be rescued. I kept waiting for her to develop some skills and awareness so she could stand on her own feet but that never really happened. Also the writing verged into bodice ripper romance tropes all the time. Meh.
Lots of fantasy beings and action. Sometimes it’s a page turner and sometimes you feel you missed something but you didn’t.
While the main elements were engaging, events were not clearly explained. I was lost in the midst of the scenes. I didn’t understand what was happening as far as the magic. If you’re going to introduce a new world (magical) you need to make sure the rules and events are clear to your audience, and I felt lost more than I felt engaged.
I really liked it after finishing it but it felt like not enough information was revealed timely. Maybe that’s because there is more to come.
may have been the author’s writing style, but i just couldn’t get intop this
What a GREAT surprise. Just loved it!
A good read with interesting and believable characters. I read the entire trilogy and enjoyed it.. I have no complaints and would recommend it
interesting premise, well written. It was exciting to read. Had to buy the other 2 books in the series to see what happened to everyone. There is a supplement, or epilogue, that serves to introduce another series.
A light read
A fun, interesting, mysterious tale. There is danger, and there is desire. The author builds a paranormal world within New York City, and our young heroine finds herself enmeshed in it from the moment she arrives. She is strong and sassy, but also unrealistically reckless with her own safety. Despite a few shortcomings, The Amulet Thief is a fascinating tale told well, and I look forward to the next book in this series.
It kept my interest and I wanted to find out what would happen next. Now I’m starting the next book in the series!
Excellent plot transitions; great characters; and perfect plot. This story will definitely keep you in your seat turning pages and when you reach the end you will want more.
