Returning to the place where you were born—after vanishing into thin air—is bound to be eventful, and there’s no guarantee of what you’ll find when you come back. Abandoned in the middle of America when she was a child, Alex Kelley has come home. When she gets off of a plane and ends up in a familiar little shop in Greenwich Village where the merchandise is odd and exceptionally rare, she’ll … rare, she’ll unleash the secrets that have been waiting for her since the day she disappeared twenty-one years ago—the night her mother was viciously murdered.
But some family secrets are best left buried, because Fitheach blood doesn’t just run through the veins—it’s a binding contract that can never be broken.
Find out why every stranger on the streets of Manhattan wants to get their hands on the pendant she wears around her neck—the one her mother gave her days before the murder.
WARNING: This is not a standalone book. THE BLOOD THIEF continues where The AMULET THIEF ends, and THE DESTINY THIEF will culminate into the stunning conclusion to a story that will have you glued to the pages until the very last word. Get some sleep while you can.

Whole series is a wonderful read
First in a trilogy. Quick moving with twists and turns; witches, demons and dragons. A fun read with some sizzle in spots.
I liked the characters but story jumped around too much & why was she fainting so much?
Enjoy her books but HATE the cut off point at the end… need more of a taste on where it’s going for the next book
The plot has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, none of the main characters have any appeal. This could have been an exciting story. Instead, the reader is presented with a host of characters who are unlikable. The supposed “good guys” are barely tolerable. I kept looking for an excuse to delete this. I never want to see this book again.
You just want more and more
It was an interesting tale, but I didn’t like the way it ended.
Loved the book very interesting twists and turns just want to slap her to stop getting into trouble will enjoy buying more of the series once I resume working again had me staying up till 2am reading I am sure there is more characters I will see evolve.
Not my cup of tea – I just could not really get into this book. Do not rely on my recommendation, the characters were okay (as was the storyline). But it was a push to read it to the end.
I was attracted to the cover of this booK. What was inside was just as good. The author has a flare for words, but at times I must admit I was a little confused as to what was going on, but because the story was so good it didn’t detract from the reading experience. (I just had to re-read the paragraph again). I really need to connect with the protagonist to love a book and Alex was the sort of heroine you want to go on a journey with. The author kept enough out of the plot, dropping snippets of bread crumbs along the way, making this an intriguing read from start to finish. I’m definitely diving into book 2. Can’t wait to continue Alex’s journey.
Great YA book – it has the fantasy down pat…great read
Interesting characters and adventures
Just finished the third book and did not want to put it down. Sort of a 50 Shades meets Twilight with a little Jim Butcher and Charlaine Harris thrown in.
Alex Kelley returns to her childhood home looking for answers, then the odd begins. This book had promise and a decent cast of characters, but, as seems to happen sometimes, the main character does things she knows she shouldn’t, finding herself in bad situations, again, knowing it’s going to happen. The relationship between Alex and Greer is long, drawn out and awkward, where it really doesn’t have to be. There is little to no open communication between Alex and Greer about her past, of which we find out he knows all too well. Parts of the story line are creative and others drawn out just too long. It’s also written in first person, which is a minus I can overlook if the book is well done. One of the cool and totally imaginative things in the story is lost in the awkward relationship between Alex and Greer. All in all, I found it a fair read.
The book has what seemed a good premise but the protagonist is just plain too dumb. She makes mistakes for the sake of plot and even in situations where the author gives you her thoughts about an action being dangerous or foolish, she does it anyway. I don’t have any inclination to buy others in the series.
A cute adventure, read the series because it was interesting and held my curiosity for what happened next.
I really like it
I enjoyed this magical book and will read the following books in the series.
Softcore porn. Slow.
Could not get interested in it,
