Returning to the place where you were born—after vanishing into thin air—is bound to be eventful, and there’s no guarantee of what you’ll find when you come back. Abandoned in the middle of America when she was a child, Alex Kelley has come home. When she gets off of a plane and ends up in a familiar little shop in Greenwich Village where the merchandise is odd and exceptionally rare, she’ll … rare, she’ll unleash the secrets that have been waiting for her since the day she disappeared twenty-one years ago—the night her mother was viciously murdered.
But some family secrets are best left buried, because Fitheach blood doesn’t just run through the veins—it’s a binding contract that can never be broken.
Find out why every stranger on the streets of Manhattan wants to get their hands on the pendant she wears around her neck—the one her mother gave her days before the murder.
WARNING: This is not a standalone book. THE BLOOD THIEF continues where The AMULET THIEF ends, and THE DESTINY THIEF will culminate into the stunning conclusion to a story that will have you glued to the pages until the very last word. Get some sleep while you can.

Plot is driven by heroine doing everything stupid to put herself in peril for no apparent reason and being swept off her feet by every good-looking male (which, of course, is every male in the book). The book also needs some major editing to clean up the typos, wrong words, and confusing passages.
Main character wasn’t likable, acted like an asshole to everyone she met, and kept doing stupid shit.
I had a hard time putting this book down. It keeps you interested and wanting to know what’s next.
Good story but not written very well
Even for paranormal this book was very strange and in places, unevenly written. Would not recommend.
Keeps you coming back for more.
Cannot recommend.
I kept hoping this novel would be worth reading. Its not. It doesn’t get better. The plot is very weak, depending on the heroine’s incredible stupidity and very bad memory. The first person narrative is choppy and poorly done. I found the romantic attraction between the heroine and the very much older “guy in charge of everything” just creepy. And, lastly I don’t think mashing and mangling Greek and Irish mythology counts as being creative.
Couldn’t put it down. Was glad the trilogy was complete so I didn’t have to wait on the next book!
A different type of witch story. This is the first in a trilogy. There are a few unanswered questions in this book that may be answered in one of the other two. It’s a little hard to follow at times but I liked the plot.
This book took you every which way. It is hard to describe. It is just an excellent story.
Loved the series. Eagerly waiting for more
This follows Alex (Alexandria) as she struggles to find out who and what she is and who her family really was. She returns to NY city, the place of her childhood to find herself hunted by people/things she doesn’t understand for a reason she finds hard to believe. What was her mother, what does her future hold and why are people after her. She meets people who turn out to be close family friends of her mother and were there when she was a young child. Who is she and what is she becoming? This is a very good story, I’ll be looking into the rest of the series.
Predictable
This is the first of three books in a series, but is still a good stand-alone read. Feisty heroine who seems bent on breaking rules, much to her dismay and occasional disaster. Great “guardian” figure who is also pretty hot, adding an interesting bit of confusion for the heroine. Looking forward to reading the 2nd and 3rd books.
This was a lovely read with an interesting storyline and set of characters.
Don’t care for books that aren’t stand alone.
I got this book as a free sample from BookBub. I liked it enough I paid for the next 2 of the series to see where the plot twists went. I recommend it.
Boring
I couldn’t get into the character, storyline was fragmented. Not interested in reading the sequels. Sorry….
