KAIFinding myself naked, chained, and prisoner of an unhinged dragon prince was not how I expected this to go. Trust me, it’s not as hot as it sounds. Fine, it’s a little bit hot.I came for the truth about my parents’ murder and I’m not leaving without it. But Veselko has an agenda, too, and the advantage. Power over an alpha wolf prince might not be what the omega is after, but he’s clearly … is after, but he’s clearly savoring it.
I’ll do anything to protect my brother and our people. There’s no lie I won’t tell, no dragon I won’t bed, if that’s the price it takes.
I’m not sure who’s playing whom or what to believe but I don’t need to trust Veselko to use him. I just need something he wants. And if he can help me protect those I love, I’ll give him my very soul.
VESELKO
I never expected to be a traitor. Honestly, I never expected anything. I was an omega and the middle prince in a fading royal family. The fate of nations was for others to decide. But their decisions have endangered us all and someone had to do something.
Kai is not the boy I remember, and I know he doesn’t trust me, that his performance is just for show. But I know there’s truth to it as well. He wants me, and what I can give him. But there’s danger, and Victory could cost me everything. Too much is at stake to be distracted by romance.
People say I’m crazy. Maybe they’re right. But if I’ve already lost my mind. I can’t afford to lose my heart.
The Alpha in the Mirror is the beginning of a passionate odyssey that weaves romance through many different lives. Savor this exciting M/M, shifter, MPREG romance that will take you into a world full of intrigue, secrets, and desires.

This is a fantastic prequel introduction to a new series to come. The characters and background provided just enough information to set the stage and get me excited for the series. The sexual tension and chemistry between Kai and Veselko is HOT. I recommend this short book and I am really looking forward to the stories to come.

The Alpha in the Mirror is the first book in the Midsummer Moon series by Noah Harris. In these pages the stage is set for an interesting voyage into suspense, betrayals and desires.
War is on the horizon and plans are being made… secrets need to be spilled and traps need to be set. Two princes are offering the reader a glimpse into history and an introduction into the life of these shifters. The anticipation for the next books builds…
This book gives us two characters – Kai, the Alpha Wolf prince, and Veselko, an Omega dragon prince. The book features alot of detail into the history of these characters, builds tension for the future and gives a taste of heat between these characters. We do not know yet what will become of these characters, there is no happily ever after here… we must read on to see how everything will unfold. Overall an interesting read that makes me want to read more.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This is a M/M book by an Author I have not read before. This is the first book in a new series Midsummer Moon and it seems like it is going to be a good series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a prequel focusing on Kai and Veselko. Alpha and Omega. Wolf and Dragon. There is a ton of works information, but it does get confusing with the long stories, background information, Kai’s internal dialogue, and random flashbacks. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book
Kai is an Alpha wolf shifter. He and his twin brother Matthias are the leaders of their packs since their parents were murdered. There have been unexplained murders in their packs. Kai goes to the land of dragon shifters to see if he can find out what’s going on. He gets captured by Veselko one of the princes of the dragons. Veselko explains to Kai what’s going on but can he trust him. I enjoyed the story.
Steamy tension and political intrigue as a wolf and dragon ferret out secrets

Since this was a prequel, I was not surprised that the conclusion is open-ended, basically a cracked door to the main event. Throughout the story, told completely from Kai the shifter wolf’s perspective, tension simmers as dragon and wolf dance around each other weighing how much to share as their homeland is caught up in mysterious disappearances and the threat of invasion. Yes, there’s a steamy encounter or two and some hot self pleasuring and fantasizing, but the bulk of the story is plotting and hypothesizing in Kai’s head and not much actual action. So many theories! I guess I will have to read the series to determine if any of the info exchanged in this prequel about the culprits undermining their society is true! So far, I am a bit on the fence because I generally like more action and less pondering in my paranormal romances.
This fantasy world holds no humans but sports the trappings of our world like pasta with meat sauce, boxers and briefs, hotels and room service. Hmmm, I wonder whether any humans show up later in the series to explain this similarity to our world?
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I loved this book. There is intrigue and love. I would love to see more set in this world. You will immediately be drawn in and it will not let you go. I cannot wait to see more.

A splendid prequel to a new series “Midsummer Moon” & it is set in a complex mystical world where different kingdoms of various kinds of shifters rule the world. The plot is intriguing & well-written with a extremely good background foundation. The characters are well-developed & strong-willed.
There is: a alpha wolf determined to discover the truth but is captured & tied up (Kai), a omega dragon & previously a friend who now holds him captive (Veselko), twists & turns, intrigue, secrets, mystery, violence, emotional turmoil, attractions, memories, deceit, betrayal, devious plans, compromises & some steam.
This is a great short story to read. Kai goes out to try to figure out who is responsible for all the killing. Kai is an alpha wolf. Kai is acting leader of the wolves along with his twin brother. Everytime Kai looks in a mirror he sees his twin brothers face and then relizes it is his. Veselko is an omega dragon. Veselko locked Kai up in a room and is keeping him under lock and key until they settle some things. Can Kai do as Veselko asked? Will they find the truth about what happened to their parents?

This was a short but enjoyable introduction to the series. It does a great job of laying the foundation for what looks to be an interesting storyline. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series.
