Betrayal, jealousy, and death have always been a part of my future. I’m the almost Queen. Betrothed to one man, and in love with another. Though there’s no doubt in my mind who I’ll choose. Lancelot has my heart, even if it’ll lead me down the path to the pyre. No matter what it takes, I’ll find a way to save us all from the prophecy which threatens to consume us. – The Almost Queen is book one …

A different story of Gwen, Arthur, and Lancelot. I love the spin the author does with it. It’s still a triangle but there is no cheating and I loved the connection that Gwen and Lancelot shared.
Laura Greenwood has done it again. This book is amazing and the characters are great. I loved this book from page 1 and read it in less than a day! I look forward to the next book.

Laura Greenwood has done it again! This is the retelling of the King Arthur legend. She takes on King Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere and she has done a marvelous job! This is the legend in a way you have never seen it before. Once again the characters are well developed and complex, the story world is detailed and awesome! If you like fairy tale retellings, you have got to read this one! Fantastic!

Another fun quick story about teenagers who attend Grimm and have prophecies to be wary of. This time it is about Gwen and Author, friends who are engaged and must deal with a terrible prophecy. Of course things do not go as expected but the story was fun and entertaining and the betrayal that starts the prophecy made me laugh out loud.
Good book inspired by the King Arthur legends. The story takes them as a starting point and then makes up a whole new story that is fresh and new.
This is a different story of King Author, Guinevere, and Lancelot. They are young friends who grow up to go to school together to try and break their prophecies. Lancelot and Guinevere are in love and all Author feels for Gwen is friendship and vice versa, but their families have made a marriage contract. They seek to break it as well as the prophecy. This is thier story. It was a good story. I would recommend it.

If there’s one thing I always get from a Greenwood book it’s a smile on my face. Especially the Grimm Academy series is just too cute and all those characters are so sweet and precious. I was very curious about this story, especially since it’s published outside the normal Grimm Academy series and even more because Arthur is more of a legend than a fairytale, but this book had the same vibe as the other stories set at Grimm. And that’s a good thing.
I really love the prophecy Greenwood came up with for Arthur and Gwen. It fits their story, it fits the legend we know about them and it fits them as characters. I also love how Greenwood portrayed the pressure on the shoulders of Gwen and Lancelot, who had all these strong and intense feelings for each other, but who couldn’t act on it because that would start the prophecy, that ended with Gwen’s death and a giant war between kingdoms.
The love between Lancelot and Gwen, just like the other love stories in this series, was incredibly cute and heart warming though. Even though we don’t get to see the moment they fall for each other, since that happens way before we really meet them, it’s easy to understand what they’re feeling for each other and why it’s so hard to fight those feelings. Which also means that the moment they can finally tell each other what they feel is huge smile moment number one.
I also really love how Greenwood managed to keep the triangle without the cheating. Although I don’t hate a book when there’s cheating, I don’t think it fits in the Grimm world. The prophecy and the arranged marriage are a great way to keep the forbidden element to the lovestory without making Gwen a cheater. I also really loved Arthur in this story. It’s quite easy to see why people love and like him and what makes him a good king. Let’s hope he finds Excalibur!
The Grimm Academy comes alive for us once again as we get the Laura Greenwood retelling of the tale of King Arthur! I enjoy visiting the world that holds the Grimm Academy and I really like the new spin on the tales we all grew up with from the author! They are always so unique and interesting!!

You gotta love when books are set in the same world as other series, so you know how things work. This one is set in Grimm Academy world and like all the others it deals with the prophecy of the main characters and how they deal with breaking it. This is the retelling of King Arthur and I was happy to see the resolution at the end of the story
A gorgeous, short King Arthur retelling with a quirky twist. Prophecies, forbidden love and an Academy for Princesses, Princes and nobles to learn how to… well, how be just that.
Young love, balls and fairytales, this short novella is a delightful treat.
Thanks to Booksprouts, the author and publishers for providing me this ARC. My review is based on my honest opinions.
This was a short, fun and quirky read. A rather different look at the King Arthur legend based round prophecies, love and fruendship!
Nice romantic story.

This book fits right in with the other Grimm Academy stories I’ve read. I love reading about King Arthur and I loved reading this retelling. It was a beautiful story plenty of unexpected turns. Lancelot and Gwen get a satisfying resolution, but I’m eager to read Arthur’s story in the next book.

I enjoyed the little folk the most amongst the tale of four childhood friends trying to beat their prophecies.
The next book looks to be more action packed after hearing of the rare development
