It really was great seeing such a strong female main character take on her power and save not one of two but all males in danger, while helping other women empower themselves. Awesome read
Great read
A nice mix of action, suspense and steam, I liked the way the book starts. Rani has to prove herself to a bully and she has some badass moments that will have you rooting for her to get the team to accept her. It is unclear at first what Tular is up to, I wasn’t sure what side he was on at first, but their attraction is real and it heats up fast. After Rani goes out to find her team, she stumbles into being a spy and she digs it, and the whole time Tular is watching her. Okay, then I become less of a blind reader, because suddenly Rani is a natural born, super spy temptress extraordinaire, which is implausible. It was like she was channeling Jason Bourne, while at the same time thinking about her future as a private spy while she is just a trainee Guardian. Although I enjoyed the fiction of the story and the connection between Rani and Tular, after she gets to Shadowsoul’s place, she is not the same person. I mean, the Drace thing was funny but you’d think it would affect her more, since he was her first. I loved what happened to Sid though, kind of makes me wish we had a dinosaur park where I could bait those suckers. Disney needs to up their game, lol. It was a fun read, it just turned into a different story in the middle and the end was just too over the top for me, but it was definitely fun to read!
Rani wanted to be treated like the rest of the team. She’d worked to earn her spot. But she was a female. Not only did the guys on the team tease her, but the leader also had a major prejudice. When she was finally sent on a mission it would test her skills beyond anyone’s expectations.
A Royal Prince had been kidnapped to a different planet. It was their job to rescue him and bring him home. Of course, she’d been told to stay behind with the ship. While waiting she met someone who was very distracting. She couldn’t take much time with him. The team was late and not in contact. Something was wrong and she was the only one available to figure it out.
Tular was attracted to Rani and he wanted information from her. She is inexperienced and proves it while managing to get a lot of info. Some laugh-out-loud minutes following her. Danger isn’t far behind. She keeps running into Tular and one steamy kiss sticks in her mind.
They are destined to work together to find her team and hopefully the Prince. The bad guys are really bad. The danger is life risking and she is determined to prove herself and come to the rescue.
This is another good read from the author her readers have come to expect. Steam, strong women, alpha males, and some interesting characters along the way. Enjoy. I did.
I really enjoyed this book. Great start to a new series. Excited to see where Milly goes with this.
