She’ll be home for Christmas… even if she has to steal a ship to get there!Rowan has missed out on the last three big family holidays, and she’s determined not to miss another. Holiday travel is always a mess, and even worse when she needs to get from Mars to Minnesota. Every flight is booked through the New Year and things aren’t looking good. Until someone whispers the name Dashiel Blitz and … Dashiel Blitz and gives her a bit of holiday hope.
He just wants to spread good cheer…
Dash makes a life shepherding sick children from planet to planet so they can be with their parents or get medical treatment. Rowan isn’t like his usual passengers, but his soul sings when they meet and he can’t say no. She’s on his ship for a ride, but he wants even more.
One tiny problem…
Dash isn’t just a pilot. He’s a reindeer shifter and he needs to keep that a secret if he wants to stay safe. But if Rowan is his mate she needs to know the truth. And when a delay in their trip threatens to strand her on the wrong side of Earth, he may have to reveal himself in the most dramatic way possible.
Could a determined human woman want an alien shifter for a mate? Or will their wild ride end with a crash and burn?
The authors of Starr Huntress were given a challenge: give readers a reindeer shifter in your holiday story. We all agreed to call our shifters “reilendeer” and decided they bring good cheer to the world around them… and then we went crazy! You might notice differences about the world and abilities of the reilendeer from story to story, and that’s because each author has put her own spin on the challenge.

Loved the Christmas cheer in this story! Fate brought Rowan and Dash together. Rowan had to get to Earth for her sister and nephew to celebrate Christmas. When she is able to get a ride with Dash on his shuttle, she feels lucky. There is an immediate attraction between the two and the romance takes off from there. With just a few bumps along the way, they arrive at her sister’s house together and celebrate the season. This is a quick read with a happily ever after.
As a whole I love the series, but this book itself is such a treasure guaranteed to be a reread every holiday season. I encourage readers to pick it up if you like a feel good romance with humor and spice. Has a real I’ll be home for Christmas vibe.

An instant love romance for another alien reindeer. Thoroughly enjoyed this alien shifter holiday romance….i could practically feel the happiness seeping off the pages of this book.
Rowan needs to get to Earth asap….she has broken her promise to her nephew and sister too often and this time nothing will stop her from fulfilling it…… when she misses the last shuttle leaving Mars she approaches Dash who has his own spacecraft.
Dash falls for Ro the moment he sees her and is sure that if he had to shift that his antlers would be glowing….confirming that she is the one.

A somewhat sci-fi romance with a hint of Christmas. Dash is a reilendeer or alien reindeer. But he mostly stays in his human form and does what he can to bring happiness and joy to others. When his next trip from mars to the moon has him bringing a young girl home he also gets an extra passenger. Ro is a workaholic and of course misses her flight to earth. But fate seems to have a hand as she becomes Dash’s extra passenger. Plenty of romance and one woman realizing their is more to life than work.

I enjoyed reading this story that has the touch of Christmas spirit in it and with family meaning something all mixed up together.
Rowan works on Mars and spends way too many hours working, just like her father did. She hasn’t been home to Earth to visit with her sister and nephew in years and she has promised that she will be there this year. Her sister is pessimistic at best, throwing up that she works too much and isn’t around just like their father, which is a very sore spot with these girls. When her flight gets canceled and every way back to Earth from Mars is overbooked, she is told that maybe a private pilot may be able to help her.
Dashiel Blitz is an alien shifter, of the reindeer type. He flys his ship around bring ill children to special hospitals and back to their loved ones. When he has a previous arrangement to fly a girl to her mother’s on the Moon, he can help Rowan to get to Earth, but there are problems along the way. When his ship is grounded on the Moon, he calls in a favor from one of his many cousins and gets a ride for Rowan and himself to Miami. He knows that he has super strong feelings for her that he hasn’t felt for anyone, ever. He knows that she may be his mate, but he needs to come clean about his animal side. He promises that he will get her from Miami to Minnesota, but he didn’t realize what a long way that was for him to fly, and I don’t mean in an airplane or ship.

The first book I read of this series was the Alien Reindeer’s Christmas Miracle. I am not sure if that is the first book of the series but I thought so since the story indicate that Janice was the first human to be in the village for a long, long time. That book didn’t sound futuristic but this book in the series has people living in Mars and there are regular shuttles between Earth and Mars.

Holiday fling with heart…
Dash is an all-around good guy, as a Reilendeer he spreads good cheer, and for work he uses his shuttle to help families with sick kids get between home and the best children’s hospital in the solar system.
Ro… is taking a look at herself, and her life, and wondering if her priorities have been in proper alignment… then she meets Dash while trying to get home for the holidays and discovers someone’s who inspires her to be her best self, and cares enough to help her prioritize the things she realize matter most, to her heart.
This quick read is a little bit adventure and a lot character making for a done in one page-turner.

This is a wonderful romance of Rowan and Dash. She must get home for the holidays and she gets on a flight with Dash. I enjoyed how they get through the bumps in the road to find their HEA. Great story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rowan felt like a very real as well as relatable character. She’s an overworker who enjoys her work, but she’s not the cliche “workaholic lady who is too good for family, but turns to mush after spending some time in a small town with a good looking guy”; It’s very real circumstances that have led to her not being as close to her family as she would like. When you enjoy your work, it is easy to become loyal to it and have to focus so much time on it. And distance even on earth is a big enough deterrent for most of us, and Rowan is a planet away. She’d like to be the perfect sister and the perfect aunt, she just doesn’t really know how. (And, slight spoiler, she doesn’t have to give up her hard-working identity at the end, making a completely out of character choice to abandon her former life, but rather, seeks a way to find more balance). She’s also a bit straight and to the point in a way that can border on rude, but she’s a person of logic and doesn’t completely demand the world caters to her schedule.
Rowan and Dash are both dedicated to their work and both have a strict travel schedule to abide by, so it only makes sense that they would end up traveling together, and for their travels to result in a few little snags.

I really liked this quick read. It made me laugh out loud. Rowan was cute and single minded but Dashiel was amazing. I liked the story and the concept. It was fun to see what would happen to keep Rowan from reaching her family on Earth. And the ending was cute and fun. I liked the surprise at the end.
This rather short story is a great little break from the chaos of the day, and it packs a punch of Christmas suprises and steamy passion! The MCs, Dash and Rowan, are both determined, though their reasons are completely different. The development of these 2 is a wonderful balance of the reason for their determination, emotional insights, and a slow burn attraction that is truly explosive. It is easy to get sucked into Rowan’s objective, and fly through the pages to learn how things resolve.
Dash is a reilendeer who thrives on cheer, bringing it and getting energy from the cheer of those around him. He is scheduled to take Kiki, a sick adolescent, home to her moms for Christmas. Rowan learned of his service and payed for a space so she can return home for the first time on 4 years. She has missed seeing her nephew grow up. What neither expects is the intense chemestry between them.
Problems arise and in order to get Rowan home in time, Dash is forced to fly her himself. When he shifts to his reindeer form, Rowan is shocked, though not afraid. Why are his antlers glowing though? When he gets her to her sister’s home, the reception is frosty.
Dash encourages her to talk with her sister about her concerns and family issues. While she is gone, however, he frets about a possible future with his mate. That explains the chemistry and the glow of his antlers. When she returns, he can sense her relief. Now, there is only one thing left to do…talk about them!
Will Rowan be open to choosing Dash as her mate? He definitely has chosen her, but will reluctantly leave her if that is her desire. So, is there a HEA in store for these 2, or is Dash destined to be without his mate forever?

Very cute paranormal romance, and a Christmas story too! Short enough to read in one sitting, but still a well developed world with well developed characters. Rowan learns to slow down, Fash gets someone who grounds him. Each brings something the other needs to the relationship, a perfect fit! Would love to read more set in this universe.

Book five in the A Winter Starr series a well written story that held my interest throughout. Rowan and Dash’s story suspense drama, danger, secrets divulged, and romance. I enjoyed reading.
Rowan has to get home for Christmas from Mars to Earth. Problem is she misses her flight. Now, how is she going to get home. Wait, here come Dash and he gives her a flight home. Problem is he’s going to have to explain why he can shift from a man to a Reindeer. Fun book. I love these stories with the alien reindeers. This was a short and sweet holiday story. It was well written with a couple typos that didn’t derail my enjoyment of the story. The character and world development were excellent considering the length of the novella. I really enjoyed the author’s interpretation of a spacefaring reindeer shifter that thrives on good cheer.

The travels between Mars and Earth is crazy for the Holidays. She is off to find Dash to see if he can take her to Earth. She found Dash and he can take her to Earth. Rowan was trying to not think about Dash because he was a hot man and she wanted him. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read them.

This book was action packed, with this reader clutching the edge of her seat during some of the scenes. It was well written and edited, with few typos, missing words, or wrong word choices. The world building in this novel was accomplished, with the Quasar homeworld really coming alive in this novel. The characterization was competent, with this reader getting a good feel for both the hero and the heroine of this book. I liked the heroine quite a bit in this novel. She was quick with a retort and tolerated nobody’s nonsense. There was medium to low angst (internal conflict) and incredibly high stakes (external conflict) in this novel, with plenty of heart pounding adventure and suspense elements with overtones of evil political machinations by the villains. This novel uses the Fated Mates trope, of the flavor where the hero and heroine gets together quickly after meeting and then have to face external threats together. My favorite version of the Fated Mates trope is when the heroine is fighting against her fate being determined for her. Basically a Fated Mates and Enemies to Lovers hybrid. However, I enjoyed this novel quite a bit, with it’s hair raising adventures. This novel ends with a Happy Ever After ending for our hero and heroine, which I prefer and appreciated as the ending to this sci-fi romance. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal romance.
