It won’t hurt, right? When he was called to lead the fight against the Chaluts, there was no question that he would go. He’s … there was no question that he would go. He’s the Prince and one of the greatest warriors they have. I never expected to see him again.

Draix rescues Emily from slavery and they have a great connection but he’s an alien warrior and she’s human. Still she ends up on his planet but he is soon called up to war. She sends him away without telling him she’s pregnant. Five years later he returns and she can’t hide the truth from him. But he is the crown prince and is destined to marry for political gain.
I wasn’t as happy with this as I’ve been with some of the other stories by this author. I found it a bit “simplified” how their relationship was handled. Still ends in an HEA. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This isn’t my favorite story by this author but it’s a good read. The characters have depth to them, and the story does skip over some time, the cover picture is misleading. Overall, I found the plot easy to follow and the characters pretty likable.

This well written book is part of an Alien Romance series and was delightful and full of drama, intrigue, and most importantly, love. The story pulled me infrom the beginning as it was a forbidden romance, but had few areas that did bother me about his prison sentence and friend doing same thing. This is an emotional tale as there is a lot of drama and heartache. For the most part the book flowed nicely. A good read

Emily loves working on alien planets, cataloguing the types of life she finds there. One day she ends up attacked by unknown aliens and then rescued by another, Prince Draix. Draix takes Emily to his home planet and she works with him to perfect a translator. The two fall in love, but as a royal, Draix can only marry another of his kind. Then Draix is called away to lead the war against the same people who originally attacked Emily. Draix and Emily need to navigate their relationship through an entire planet’s rules and expectations as well as a war. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

great read
Interesting. Emily, space explorer suffered a personal tragedy when she was a child that handicapped her with heavy baggage and trust issues. She was on a mission with Marcus, when their ship is attacked. Marcus didn’t seem very space savvy. He is killed, she is kidnapped by the Chaluts as a potential slave. Then rescued by Prince Draix of Drihlai. She helps Draix with the language translation They fall for each other and indulge in a forbidden relationship until war breaks out with the Chaluts and Draix goes off to fight. 5 years later, she has a 5 year old son, Draix Jr who was able to physically shift his eyes from human to Drihlaian. She emotionally buried Draix since she hasn’t heard from him in all that time. One day, she hears from her friend Maxera that the war is over and the warriors are returning home. Draix among them. Will they reunite? Will she tell Draix about Draix Jr? Will their relationship still be unfathonable as it was 5 years ago? Are the Chaluts truly vanquished? Nice story. A few unexpected outcomes. Everyone is not whom they seem. Characters were nice. Maggie is a hoot! I hope we hear more from her. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved this delightful story of destined across-the-galaxies lovers between an alien, Draix, and a human, Emily. They meet unexpectedly when Emily was kidnapped by aliens who sought to enslave her. Draix rescues Emily and bring her to his home planet since Earth is many galaxies away. After spending much time with Draix who is also the Prince of the planet, they both fall in love. However their love will never see the light of day because as Prince he is required to marry into a royal family, much like his. Their passionate lovemaking results in Emily’s pregnancy but before she can share or even confirm the news, there is a call to war and Draix must go and fight to defend his home planet and the safety of his people. When Draix returns to his planet he finds that while much has changed while he was away fighting, their love for each other remains. But misunderstandings and expectations that Draix must fulfill as the future king, cause a divide that threaten to tear them apart. They must face the hard decision to put the well being of an entire planet before their love which leads to heartbreaking consequences. Once again Miranda Martin does a spectacular job in creating a wonderful world where the alien is the human and love knows no boundary. Miranda Martin
Life, love and the pursuit of happines for a Prince in love.

Emily had been captured by aliens only to be saved by the Royal Prince of Drihlai. Draix was happy he was able to save her and bought herhome to the roal palace where they worked on improving their translating device. Soon the friends became lovers despite there was no possiblity of them ever being able to marry since Draix could only marry another royal person. Their romance was doomed to fail and when she found iherself pregnant she sent Draix away to war without telling him her news. Five years later, the war was over and he returned only to find she had lied to him. This was a romance full of angst as two lovers have to overcome distance apart and his role as Prince meant he would not ever be able to clain his son. The story ends happily but there is alot of pain for them both before they can be truelly happy at last.

My heart for my kingdom, is that legal? Not sure about this book. This was really good at explaining a whole bunch of stuff about the kingdom Royal Blood half breed no breed culture holy complicated mess Batman what are we going to do? Emily Madison from earth is during research when there is problems in the star system. She sees her companion who was working with her killed and she is kidnapped. Then rescued. From there everything just goes wonky and absolutely bonkers. You fall in love you do what you think is right and sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice and sacrifice. But is the sacrifice justified? well eventually and HEA is well on its way, along with a little bit of adventure and try to figure out how much royal blood really means to those who have it. Excellent read recommended you’re ready for a tearjerker folks it is absolutely worth the time.

Emily is on her fourth space exploration when things go wrong. She ends up kidnapped by Chaluts for slavery. However before they get far with her she is rescue by a warrior prince called Draix. Draix is intrigued by Emily and her culture. When she awakens and finds its the same warrior that save her that she’s with she has some relief. Sparks fly between her and Draix and they end up being together. Yet when war breaks out and he must fight to keep his people safe she doesn’t tell him that she is pregnant because she knows that he would stay with her instead of fighting. Now years later he is back and wants to reclaim the life he wants with Emily. What will he do once he learns she had his child? Can the be together?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Reading this story reminds me of an old Chinese saying: “Better to choose the short pain rather than the long pain.” Meaning: if one has a choice between undergoing circumstances that caused long-term pain or a short-term agony, it is best to choose the decision that brings short-term suffering. However, this story indicates that it is not always the better choice.

Part of the In the Stars Romance series a well written story with a good storyline and the story flowed smoothly from page to page. This is human Emily Madison and Prince Draix of Drihlai and Draix Jr the child she was pregnant with when he left for war five years ago. Theirs is a forbidden love. I enjoyed reading this story. I tried to like this however it fell far from the mark for me. Varying inconsistencies with the parents and the rule as a hole. I didn’t feel it for either Draix and Emily. I have read this author before and liked her other works, but this one didn’t do her justice.

Well worth reading!
Very long & detailed account of two star-crossed characters from different planets falling in love, even though it is forbidden. Action-packed and very steamy story. This is kind of sad though & even takes a turn to the dark side, which was unexpected and shocking for me. I really like both characters although I didn’t agree with the customs of his planet, I’m convinced that they are soulmates. I wish they had more together as a couple, more happy moments and less battle for the right to be together without consequences. Simply told tale of complex loyalties and fated love
At first the straightforward and simple style of Miranda Martin’s Alien Prince’s Secret Baby put me off. I’m not a YA fan, and that’s how it read – at first. Reading further proved that simple sentences and straightforward narrative belied the tangles and multi-layered tale of a human woman saved from alien slavers by a Prince of the planet Drihlai. Lacking the ability to send her back to her home, her takes her to his. But he’s the crown prince, and scheduled for an arranged dynastic marriage to someone of royal blood. When they fall in love, and she bears him a son, they face the condemnation of his entire planet, and his royal parents most of all. Desperatedly in love, they agree to live for today and face the gloomy future when it happens. And, of course, it happens sooner rather than later. It is a long and bittersweet journey for both, before each can resolve their own personal balance of love and duty, before each can understand and forgive the other’s choices, and before they can prioritize the son they both love and the home they all need. Supporting characters are wonderfully written into the ongoing drama, and play pivotal roles in the resolution of the situation. Sacrifices must be made before HEA results, but the book ends on a positive note. In the end, I was really moved by the powerful truths behind this simple story.
