Cybersecurity super-sleuth Frank Adversego finds himself trapped in a power play between the FBI and the CIA as hackers try to destroy the USA. Only by defeating the Alexandria Project can he clear himself. “THE ALEXANDRIA PROJECT is fiction that cuts close to the bone. But where George Orwell envisioned 1984 from the safety of thirty-five years out, the future that Updegrove describes may … describes may already be upon us. That’s what makes it dangerous, and that’s what makes THE ALEXANDRIA PROJECT an important as well as riveting read.”

Interesting characters but with some predictable events. I liked the technical computer details.
I would have given this book 4.5 stars if allowed. The only reason I reduced it a half star is because the beginning is a little slow and the main character is a little annoying with his lack of social skills. In fact, I was about to stop reading the book about 30% done as it became evident Frank was going down a bad path and everyone was against him. However, a cool plot twist occurred followed by lots of action, more plot twists and then I couldn’t out the book down. The characters are well developed and are easy to bring you into the story. Bottom line, slow start, great story and excellent ending.
Shows what can happen with people with self serving ambition and greed and have ultimate or near ultimate power to sway others to their will… shows the value of people of courage stepping up… and what could happen if they don’t….. wonderful story
Almost too much “preachiness” while establishing background for the plot. It was still interesting. l kind of lost our main character in the details a couple of times….then got him back. Happy he didn’t get lost forever!
Fun book to read especially for those who have some understanding of programming but entertaining for all.
I especially appreciate the author using his vocabulary instead of resorting to bad language. I plan to read more from this author.
Somewhat tedious reading at times for someone who is not a techie, but the plot seems way too close to potential reality than we are aware. Cyber terrorism is real, and though this scenario may be a little far fetched, maybe it really isn’t?
Book meant for those who enjoy technical – bare bones – lots of descriptive technical computer – what ifs. Not for me – I tried.
Very good read, couldn’t put it down.Best entertainment lately.
Couldn’t get past the terminology. Boring
This was an interesting read. There was a lot of technical information included that made reading and understanding a bit difficult read but not too terribly so. The book had a satisfactory ending.
Plodding storyline and gratuitous political commentary
This is the best read for me over the past 3 years. I currently have about 200 digital books in my library and probably over 150 archived.
If I would have read it as a paperback my thumb and index finger would be blistered!
Enjoy if you have time to settle in
The 1st chap. droned on so long I lost interest. The writing wasn’t bad just dry and prolonged.
It would be a much better book if it didn’t constantly insult half of a nation. I won’t read anymore by this author.
All books with Clive Cuddler name on them are great. You learn things new and characters are great
Interesting premise. A realistic and mildly terrifying view of cyber-security.
Twisted plot
Really enjoyed this one. Kept me guessing and threw in some surprises.
An engaging read with interesting characters.
Best book I have read in a long time!
