Interesting, but I thought the premise was a bit far-fetched.
A super fantasy adventure.
This book is about a secret portal underground that goes from Colorado to the Aleutian Islands.
bad plot, no ending, left off with no resolution, bad dialogue, no likable characters
Plot was stretching belief, but original. Some might just call this sci-fi, others might call it possible. Action-packed, not much in the way of character development. Language wasn’t bad. I probably will not read the rest of the Sam Reilly series.
I might have given this book a 4 but it’s a huge cliffhanger.
Sam Reilly-excellent action character. Outstanding adventure novel.
Once again we find Sam caught in a situation not of his choosing. What should have been a relatively straightforward task–find the remains of a ship which just sank and for which coordinates were available–became a race from the Arctic Ocean to the Colorado Plateau Desert. Christopher has done an excellent job in creating a riveting plot, which will keep you turning the pages. Sam and his sidekick Tom live up to their reputations as they hunt for the Death Stone. What is it? You’ll have to grab a copy of the book as I don’t like giving too much away. Look for the next one in the series!
A bit too far fetched for me. Just didn’t make a lot of realistic sense.
This book has the typical good guys versus bad guys story, of course, but it is interesting because of the underlying idea about underground passages that connect places on the Earth that are many thousands of miles apart.
A science fiction story that I found less than believable.
I was unaware as part of the series that it would have been very beneficial to have read the previous books. Most of the story was very exciting, however, the end of the book did not explain the unusual circumstances that occurred at the beginning of the book. I finished the book expecting answers. It was never addressed except one of the characters actually asked another character why they weren’t interested in knowing how some seemingly impossible events happened.
Kept me turning pages into the night.
What happened to the Stetson? Sam and Tom and company are amazing.
Another exciting adventure in this series. This one leaves you hanging.
not too believable but a good read
It was geat
somewhat far-fetched.
To unrealistic for me!
The story leaves on guessing at what is coming next.
