Sabre Orin Brown’s clients keep disappearing. With seemingly no connection between the cases, Sabre enlists the help of her southern PI friend, JP, and her best friend, Bob, to find each of them — before it’s too late. In her race against the clock, Sabre must determine whether contemporary horrors are being buried in the shadow of dark traditions — or if it’s something else at work. A conspiracy … conspiracy years in the making, secrets hidden for decades, and the twisted work of a mysterious society have all come together in the ultimate test of the strength of Sabre’s conviction.

Action packed page turner. Great escape book. Well written with good character development. Have read three Advocate books and look forward to more.
Great series
Great series.
Got the first one free. Liked it so well I read the whole series.
Great to just pass the time but predictable.
I have read several in this series. Characters are consistant, stories reflect real life struggles. Easy read, keeps my attention.
I have read almost every book in this series and each book never disappoints. I love the characters and story line. I will easily read anything this author writes. I would give this book and this series 5+ stars.
Kept my interest. Evil & Good abound.
Good characters, fast reading, held my interest.
Was ok. Pretty predictable if I remember correctly, and I may not. Enjoy her books for a fun read.
I love this series!!!
This is the 3rd book I listen from this serie. By now I can put my hands on fire that with Teresa Burrell you will get a very good story to spend a nice time with.
This one has the devil work as the backdrop, and though I could imagine how the story would unravel (after all most of the stories are based in real stories and we pretty much have seen everything in tv news nowadays), It still moves me the way our heroine really cares for the children she has to represent, and goes all in to help them.
As always all the characters are very well crafted and you can feel the drama, not only in the writing but in the narrators voice. Even though all the narrators are different (in the first 3 books) we can still feel the same kind of accents and speak patterns for the main characters, making the recognition very easy and allowing us to form a relation with them.
Even so, I have a final note to add: contrary to the 2nd book, this one can work pretty well as a standalone story. I was expecting the “bad guy(s)” to came back from book 2, but this one gives us a little pause in that (I not really sure if any of Sabre’s “anemies” will came back, but one can hope ) What is a lawyer without the revenge from the people one have put behind bars. We will see…
Enjoyed it! A well-written and exciting book. Great characters and interesting plot make this a page turner.
Part of a great series.
The series is always interesting and builds on the characters.
Standard Sabre Brown story. They are ok, but have a tendency to fill in people’s day to day activities way to much. I like the J.P. Torn character much move than Sabre, who always seems to put herself in jeopardy. For a supposedly bright attorney she often acts rather dim.
Didn’t really care for the characters. The original premise was ok, but nothing much really happened and nothing continued to happy for a long, long time. Finally gave up on it about midway through.
