Sabre Brown is a terrific character who is passionate about her work, happy living life on her own, and desperate to find out what happened when her brother disappeared. There is a lot going on in this book – Sabre is a child advocate attorney and the author has done an excellent job of brining us into that world. The court procedures, the visits …
I loved this mystery. It had many twists and turns. I look forward to reading more by Teresa Berral. Summer Rona does a incredible job of narrator. Her voice is perfect. I was gifted this book by the author with the understanding that I would leave and honest review.

Clean, well written, pace picks up nicely the 2nd half of the book. Kept me interested throughout.
This book is a great, clean read mystery set in San Diego. It was especially fun reading about so many familiar places.
After reading the first in the series, I bought and read each in order. I love the character development, the buildup of tension, and the closure provided in each book. Anyone interested in child advocacy should really enjoy this series, though there is not always a happy ending. I’m addicted now, and eagerly await each new book in the series. …
Beautiful story… nicely told…
One of my favorite series.
Amazing story! Loved all the caracters, and specially the humor. I found myself laughing by myself many times. The story is totally stand alone and easy for those who know english as a second language.

A good Read.
Plot ok but I didn’t buy the gambling turf battle gambit. Reasonable for just an entertaining story/mystery but that’s all.
Very slow to get going.
I like how the main characters take care of kids. Good plots.
