TOP TIP: Don’t put out an online ad offering your services as a fake date. Someone will take you up on it.And it won’t just be for one night. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I ended up being Mason Jackson’s fake girlfriend. He didn’t even want me to be. No—his sister was solely responsible for me being his date for his ten-year high school reunion. Now, she’s responsible for telling his … responsible for telling his parents our relationship is real.
We have no choice. We have to act like this isn’t all a mistake, like it’s not all fake, like we’re totally, completely, utterly, head-over-heels in love with each other.
Simple, right?
Wrong.

Oh my god!!! This book was freaking hilarious. I doubled over I was laughing so hard. I absolutely love Emma Hart. Her books are always a barrel of fun and explosive entertainment. I got to say she did not disappoint with this book. Holy crap what fun!!!
During girls night Lauren is talked into putting an ad in the paper to pose as a fake girl friend, for one night only. Ok first off nothing good every comes from drinking and the internet. So imagine her surprise when someone answers the ad.
“Offering my services as a fake date for one night only. Got a wedding you need a date for? I’m a classy girl in public with a dirty side in private. How about a family get-together where you’re the only single grandchild going? This blue-eyed brunette with a passion for pizza is the one you’ve been looking for. Or if you’re heading to a party and need to make that one person jealous-I’ve got an ass you could crack a diamond on.

And no, I’m not charging.
But I’m not buying my own drinks either.
Mason’s sister has done it again. Yep! She answered the ad in the paper so he could have a date to his reunion. Maybe he can let this girl down easy. I mean who cares what Claudia thinks.
Yep this was Mason’s thoughts till Lauren opens the door. Man she is hot. Maybe one date won’t hurt. Right? Have you met her?
I swear this book will have you laughing so hard you will split your pants. Emma has done a wonderful job with this fun loving rom-com. She is the queen of rom-coms and we are not worthy.
In this book her characters Lauren and Mason are perfect for each other. Both are single, not looking for a relationship and faking it to get people off their backs. Not only do they have the same goal in mind, but they mesh so well with their perfect personalities. Each snarky and funny in their own right. Lauren is a real woman. She doesn’t fake who she is for anyone. You either like her or you don’t and this is refreshing for Mason. Mason is a hot hunk of a man. Rugged good lucks and likes to get dirty. Yummy!! Together these two have such great chemistry and their story is sure to make you smile.
Overall this book is the perfect mix of fun and compares to Teagan Hunter and Janet Evanovich in the humor department. With a entertaining mix of fun loving crazy characters, you are sure to keep those pages turning. Nope you won’t be putting this book down. If you are looking for a fun yet sexy book, then this book is for you. So pick it up today. You will be so glad you did.
Cute and funny story about a woman who puts up an ad to be a fake girlfriend.

Another hilarious hit by Emma Hart. Seriously, I have a hitch in my side from laughing so much. Mason and Laura have that easy going vibe like they’ve been together forever. I absolutely adored Lauren and all of her feistiness, and I loved that Mason loved it even more. These two are some of my all time favorite characters. Between their witty banter and Mason’s more than extraordinary family, it makes for a funny and fabulous read. I want a Great-Aunt Pru in my life lol!

Mason… my man. Your sister little reply became a bargain you didn’t ask for. The humor of Lauren caught you off guard. Her feistiness and quick whit surprised you and her and her in a great way. Crazy Claudia be darn. Deceit has no chance against honesty and compatibility.
Emma this was a nice fun rom/com.
Welp, I finally did it. The Accidental Girlfriend popped my proverbial Emma Hart cherry. And for me, the book was a bit of a mixed bag. It was witty and sweet and so dang funny. That being said, I found the humor a little forced. Almost like what ridiculous thing can I make her say next. And some of the dialogue, especially from Mason, was repetitive.
There was something so endearing about Lauren that I couldn’t help but like her. She spoke her mind no matter the subject. And what she was more than sure about was that she didn’t want a relationship. Even with the super fun and charming Mason. How these two met was unconventional but totally fitting for them.
As hard as they tried to fight it, there was no denying the chemistry between them. Both Lauren and Mason were reluctant to admit their feelings to themselves, let alone the other. It was a super slow burn with loads of sexual tension. And when they finally gave in…whew! hot!! But their secret was bound to come out, and when it did, all bets were off.
A meddling sister, an awesome girl gang, a jealous ex and a sassy old lady added to the overall charm of The Accidental Girlfriend. While I feel like there could’ve been more time with Lauren and Mason actually together, I liked the way things played out. Emma Hart’s writing was light and easy with no major drama but a whole lot of laughter.
How can you go wrong with an Emma Hart rom-com…..YOU CAN’T!!!! This book had me mesmerized with the laugh out loud moments (which was pretty much the entire book), the undeniable chemistry (hello, two sexy as sin characters…..need I say more) and the unforgettable snarky one-liners (crotch goblin…..OMG I was dying, just dying)! Mason and Lauren’s story is one memorable read that will have you so engrossed you won’t realize you reached the end until keep trying to flip pages that just aren’t there. This hilarious read has just become my FAVORITE book from Mrs. Hart and one I recommend for those who LOVE a great romantic comedy!
When you say it just can’t get any better, it does!
A friend recommended Accidental Girlfriend to me, and now I’m rushing off for more books by Emma Hart! Talk about a sharp sense of humor, witty dialogue and fast paced story. Can’t wait to read more!
I wish I had girls nights that led to crazy accidental relationships! A dare to post an ad for a fake date leads to a series of dates, but will they lead to love for 2 people so set against relationships? And with an ex like Claudia, I don’t blame a guy for not wanting to date!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a funny, lighthearted easy read. I loved the characters, the storyline and the banter between Lauren and Mason had me doubled over laughing. I loved their whole fake dating story ad the whole will they/wont they fake break up. This is my first Emma Hart book but it won’t be my last.
I enjoyed this story and could connect with the characters. It was a fun read!
‘The Accidental Girlfriend’ is the third book I’ve read by Emma Hart, and I am loving her easy-going writing style and relatable characters.
The book is about Lauren, a young Singleton who gets drunk with her sister and friends, and jokingly puts a dating ad online. What could possibly go wrong?!
Cue a meddling sister who wants her brother to attend his reunion with a beauty on his arm, and enable him to confidently get back at his cheating ex-girlfriend. Sounds like the perfect story right?
Mason is sweet, he is recovering from a broken heart and is in that place of being ‘happily single’. He meets the setup with good humour, and is pleased to find Lauren is confident, bubbly and has some amazing witty one liners in her repertoire.
But after a successful fake date, meddlers are determined to force these two together, and eventually they are unable to deny the easy-going chemistry that flows between them.
I loved Mason as a character, his family and their antics are hilarious and had me page-turning. Sometimes Lauren appeared a bit too brash for me, but overall she is likeable, and someone who appreciates a good Maccy D’s is always a winner! Mason’s neighbour also has me laughing out loud as she assumed that every girl to show up at his door is a ‘floozy’.
A quick fast-paced read that was entertaining despite a predictable plot. Ideal for romance lovers and people who enjoy the rom com genre.
I’m sort of in two minds regarding this book. Did I enjoy this book? Thoroughly. I love Hart’s brand of sass and sarcasm but as of late I’ve been having a hard time connecting to the characters.
Don’t get me wrong, Lauren is a hoot, she is fun even though there were moments when I wanted to wring her neck and Mason is well… Mason.
I honestly felt that the characters were lacking in the chemistry department and as of late I have felt this for quite a few Hart’s characters/books. I guess I could say that they are becoming a tad repetitive in terms of storyline.
I want the chemistry and connection with the tension and lately, quite a few Romance books are failing to deliver that. I want to feel the spark rather than just you know read it on paper and move on.
Overall, The Accidental Girlfriend is a nice fluffy RomCom that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something that is light, quick and easy.
3 witty stars!

The Accidental Girlfriend is a rom-com with a fake girlfriend trope. Emma Hart is one of my go-to authors when I’m in the mood for a light, fun read. This book was no exception to her writing, it was humorous with witty banter and laugh out loud moments. With that said, it was not my favorite E.Hart book.
The basis of the story is what caught my attention. I love a good fake girlfriend trope. This started off great, but the characters fell a little short for my liking. E. Hart has a style, and going into her books I know that, but for some reason, I couldn’t connect to Lauren and Mason.
Lauren is all sass and attitude. She speaks her mind and sticks to her guns. When she first meets Mason there is an immediate attraction. They were just supposed to go on one fake date and then they were supposed to be in a fake relationship, but that was it. Except for their fake relationship slowly morphed into something real.
I felt like the actual relationship was a little rushed. Lauren and Mason spent most of the book fighting their attraction towards each other. They both preferred the single life and Lauren made sure she made that clear throughout the book. Once she finally accepted that their fake relationship was no longer fake, they were perfect for each other.
I think the best part of this book was Mason’s family. There were times I felt overwhelmed with all the characters, but they definitely kept me laughing. They added another dimension to the story.
When you har that Emma Hart is writing a book, the first thing you think, oh hell yeah, romcom and she makes them funny as hell. Lauren and Mason were something else for sure. These two actually seem like a real couple. There is no way you can think there not.
What they both brought was hilarious. The way Lauren has her attitude and sassiness, and ofc Mason loves every bit of it.. Lauren is the type of friend that you need by your side. She’s your ride or die girl for sure lol
Through the whole book, your laughing so damn hard.
The only problem is, once they get that spark, can they stick to there own rules like they mentioned??
This is a true Emma Hart classic. A laugh out loud, smart and sassy woman who know what she wants. Fed up with the constant nagging from her sister and friends, and fueled by wine, Lauren puts an ad on Craigslist stating that she is available as a fake date. No need for payment, but you will have to buy her drinks. Mason has his ten year high school reunion coming up and will see Claudia, his now ex-fiancee; the one he found in their bed with her boss six months ago. Mason’s sister Kirsty, didn’t much care for the ex and decides to book Lauren to attend as Mason’s date. Kirsty then decides that she is going to tell her mother that Mason has a girlfriend and so they have to continue their fake relationship for a while longer. Shouldn’t be too bad? Right? But when the attraction sparks between them, can they keep to the rules? Absolutely hysterical.
I love a good rom-com!
The best of this book was how ridiculously funny it was! Rom/coms can be hit or miss and this is definitely a hit. Lauren is the girl you want to be, be best friends with and date all in one. She is gorgeous, confident and owns every part of herself, flaws and all. Mason is our hero and its easy to see why, successful, sexy and oh so swoon worthy. It was an unconventional way to meet, but Emma Hart made it believable with her relatable dialogue. This is a must read! quick page turner and super satisfying.
Oh my Emma has certainly given us a fabulously funny fake relationship. Lauren and Mason are cute, funny and soon begin to sizzle off the pages . I fell in love with their characters and all of the crazy predicaments that they found themselves in. Neither one wants a relationship but they soon find themselves right smack dab in the middle of one ..even if it isn’t real ! Their witty banter was funny and refreshing !! If you want an fastpaced, funny accidental love story this one is for you!

While reading the The Accidental Girlfriend I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a long time. This one will make you laugh out loud with the banter between Mason and Lauren. Add in Henery the cat Mason’s family and you will be laughing even more. I love this book so much. Mason and Lauren are perfect together in their fake relationship. You can feel the sparks fly from the very start. This is such a fun read. I couldn’t get enough of this one. If you haven’t read Emma Hart yet then you really need too. Go one click this one today.
I love Emma Hart’s writing style. The way she balances humor, drama and emotion in her books are amazing. ‘Accidental Girlfriend’ was really entertaining and got me hooked from the first page. Thanks to meddling family members and friends both Lauren and Mason find their selves in a weird position. Lauren is smart, confident, funny and really beautiful. Thanks to Lauren’s best friends and sister constant bickering about Lauren’s love life or lack of it, Lauren posts an ad online offering her services as a ‘fake date’. She never thought she would get a response to her quirky ad but thanks to Kirsty, who is trying to find a date for his brother to make his ex-fiancée jealous, she got herself a fake date to a high school reunion. Mason is sweet, honest, sexy, loyal and funny guy. Even though, he got burned by his ex-fiancé, he isn’t bitter. He moved on and doesn’t really care about his ex but of course his sister can’t accept this or him going to his 10-year reunion. That is basically how Lauren and Mason end-up on a fake date 🙂 Their chemistry was off the charts since the beginning and their banter was amazing, they are perfect for each other. After their pretty fun and successful fake date, they both go back to their lives but thanks to Kirsty’s meddling, yet again, they have to continue their fake relationship. However, this time their audience is Mason’s family. OMG! What a family he has, they are all hilarious but my favorite is great-aunt Pru.
‘Accidental Girlfriend’ was sweet and funny story that had me laughing out loud through the book. Emma Hart’s writing is hilarious, entertaining and displays some of the greatest banter I ever read. From the beginning to the end, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. If you are looking for a entertaining, light read, this book is just for you.
