When love is ripped away, wrath invades my soul, blinding my vision and feeding my bloodlust—it feels like coming home.*** This is Book #4 in The 7 series ***7 authors, 7 novellas, 7 deadly sins.1. PRIDE by Scott Hildreth2. GREED by Geri Glenn3. SLOTH by Max Henry4. WRATH by Gwyn McNamee5. ENVY by Kerri Ann6. LUST by FG Adams7. GLUTTONY by M.C. Webb
Not your typical romance and definitely no HEA…yet anyway. Short, quick read, but full of steam and suspense and intrigue. I have way many more sins to go through but so far, I’m loving Konstantine and Rea.
This is a quick and great read.
What happens when your love is taken from you? What lengths would you go to in order to get her back?
Read this book to find out what happens. It is dark and twisted and oh so good.
This is a must read!!
OMG! A rollercoaster of a read! It is a novella so you expect it to happen fast, but I didn’t want to get to the end! I was fully engaged in this brother against brother story! The ending killed me, but it was a great story!
This is a short read but totally engaging and really well written
Wrath is a quick read, under an hour, but don’t let that stop you giving it a try. It’s not a typical romance, given that the hero, Konstandin, and the heroine, Jade, are already together and in love.
The story starts with Jade being kidnapped and follows Konstandin’s journey of retribution and rescue. With the exception of the epilogue, it is written solely from the hero’s point of view, leaving you in no doubt of both his immense love for Jade, as well as his willingness to do anything to rescue her.
What follows is a tale of blood and violence, this is a darkly gritty read, though the only non-consent is implied rather than experienced/witnessed. Wrath held me utterly spell-bound, with it’s fast pace, the connection I felt to Konstandin and just the wonderful quality of writing.
I just wish this had been longer, I didn’t want it to end! Thankfully there is a second, related book in the series due out later in the year. Something to look forward too!
Super Intense romance! This is a fast pace.. sexy…selfless story about a man who willing to do everything for the woman he love.. Griffin said it all.. nothing will stop him to get to the end.. survival..graphic and nothing short … Gwyn never let me down..
If you’re looking for the typical HEA, you won’t find it here. When I finished reading it I had to take a minute to process what had happened, not just the ending but a twist that I didn’t see coming. I should have expected something like that from a book titled “Wrath”, but whoa. Gwyn McNamee is certainly good at the unexpected. There are some stories from her that blow my mind and I want to just scream and yell and throw my Kindle across the room (but I don’t because I love my Kindle) because of the emotional rollercoaster ride. This is one of those stories that you’ll love but hate at the same time- unless this sort of story is your thing because then you’ll just love it. I actually look forward to getting more stories with these characters because I want to know what happens next!
Holy chit! I would give 10 hearts if I could – I was absolutely enthralled from start to finish
You know how you tense up – that full body tense- when you get to a really good part in a thriller or a suspense?
You are figuratively and possibly even literally on the edge –
(yes, I have been known to sit up and grip the edge of the chair, like getting closer is somehow going to change things
*eye roll here* Don’t judge :0 )
White knuckling your kindle or gripping your book so hard you can feel the pages succumb to the pressure-
Yeah, you do?
That is this entire story in a nutshell!
Wrath is an exceptional read! This book contains all of the intensity usually found in a long novel. It begins with a love story that is written so sincerely that you can feel the love exuding from Jade and Griffin. Then you are slammed with the unexpected jolt of fear and intense anger when Jade is kidnapped. Griffin stages and implements a War plan that is graphically vivid and bloody to recover his love. I felt every emotion from love to grief. This story is genuinely that good. Although there may be triggers for some, I highly recommend this book.
This review is based on an ARC.
Wrath draws a reader in from the very first line. It’s a non-stop, dark and gritty tale that keeps your heart racing to the very end. Konstandin’s love for Jade is all-consuming and when she’s taken from him, his rage and determination is equally consuming. A story that pits brother against brother in a world where disputes are handled with bloody consequences and you don’t dare look away for fear that you’ll miss something.
This is my first read by McNamee, but it certainly won’t be my last.
