Oh how I love the town of Port Snow and the fabulously funny Knightly family!
This story brings us back, this story is about the quiet, taciturn Rogan Knightly and Harper.
I absolutely fell in love with this story, the brokenness, the heartbreak and then the redemption. Oh the way that Rogan fights for what he wants is beautiful. What he does to keep his love and memories for what he once had is one of the most swooniest and romantical endeavor I have read ever!
The humor and dialogue between the Knightly siblings is classic Ms. Quinn and I was laughing out loud!
I admired how Ms. Quinn wrote of a love that was all encompassing. Rogan and Harper were true soul mates, they made their plans together and how they revolved around each other could be off putting for some (the whole “find yourself before you love someone else theory”) but the way Ms. Quinn described it was beautiful and a true testament to her writing talent.
There are twists and bit of a mystery that kept me riveted until the very end. I was both surprised and amazed!
I so wish Port Snow was a real town, I would move there in a heartbeat. The world that Ms. Quinn creates is truly magical with this series! I cannot wait to read more!
I was eager to go back to Port Snow and visit the Knightly clan in That Forever Girl . Rogan and Harper’s second chance romance tugged at my heart. I absolutely enjoy this sweet, funny, yet at some point emotional story. It gave me all the feels and I was completely captivated. It was gratifying to take part in the couple’s journey – traveling to the past to see them transition from friends to lovers and at the same time seeing them move from enemies to lovers again in the present.
I loved that we were brought back to the past to the highlights of the couple’s relationship milestones. These flashbacks were significant as they not only slowly unravel the mystery of their breakup but also proved that Rogan was not the complete jerk that he appeared to be. He remembered and communicated his love for Harper in his own unique way. Totally swoon-worthy!
Another favorite was the closeness of the Knightly clan. The siblings’ text exchanges and in person interactions ranged from hilarious to motivating which illustrated the abundant love and support between the siblings. The meddling of their parents were annoying yet timely because parents know best.
In my opinion, I feel that Meghan has grown substantially as an author throughout the years. Her writing flows effortlessly and her stories are always accompanied by well-developed characters and a well-defined plot embedded with humor and heart. I absolutely enjoyed the story and would highly recommend this funny and heartwarming small-town second chance romance.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
An incredible emotional story and one of my favorites by Meghan Quinn. The heartache of both Harper and Rogan kept me on the edge of tears for the first part of the story. Then I was cheering for them! I loved how Quinn did the flashback chapters, slowly revealing the shocker of what actually drove them apart. I am so in love with this town and the people in it!!
Well, book 2 in the Getting Lucky series by Meghan Quinn features the second eldest knightly brother, Rogan, and I think I’ve found my favourite brother. He is just wonderful, all sultry and sexy, whilst been sappy and loving. Admittedly, he is a jerk in the beginning, but when everything comes to light, I understood where he was coming from, I’m not saying he did the right thing, but, we all make mistakes This is a super addictive second chance romance, some scenes are emotional, a lot of scenes are funny, proper laugh out load moments with the sibling banter, in person and by text. So so funny. A wonderful story written so so well. Great characters. I just adore all the townsfolk. The town gossip is rife, and I do love small town stories. I can’t wait to see what book 3 brings us. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
Cursed in love- That’s the what the fortune teller says, maybe she is on to something, or it has something to do with the Knightly brothers destroying her personal property.
Either way, Rogan Knightly is an excellent example of what not do to in a relationship. The one true love of his life Harper was on the receiving end of all that misfortune.
Reunited after seven years- their town isn’t big enough for both of them.
Their road to healing is a battleground, with weapons of words drawn at the ready and a town willing to take sides. Yet, through the haze of guilt, sadness, anger, pain, and confusion- love, lust, and yearning for friendship still, remain.
Will Rogan “nut up” and break the curse? Will Harper find her happy place and what she was meant to be?
Holy buckets of emotional overload!
Ms. Quinn rolled out a compelling story, one that not only gives you the present but a striking look into the past — grabbing me by the feels needing answers. I had to know what the Knightly clan would do next.
In my humble opinion, a perfect slice of romance heaven! With its heavy heart, GREAT humor, well-defined characters, a twisted storyline that was not only a breath of fresh air but flowed well (even with the broad timeline) amped-up sexual tension and hotter than the sun scenes- it was an absolutely stellar read! I highly recommend this book for your reading pleasure!
