He’s the most precious human being Adam has ever seen. Too bad he isn’t human. Banished by his parents to the third planet in the Sol system, Prince Harht’ngh’chaali of the Second Grand Clan is completely fascinated by its inhabitants. Assuming the human name “Harry,” he tries to pass for a human to survive, but being human is so much harder than Harry expected. Humans are so confusing.Adam … confusing.
Adam Crawford isn’t looking for love. Financially secure and good-looking, he’s in a good place in his life. He doesn’t mean to fall in love with the quirky guy working at the coffee shop near his office. Harry is ridiculous—and ridiculously endearing. He wears ugly shirts and flowers in his hair, and he has a kind word for everyone. Adam falls hard and fast.
Little does he know that Harry isn’t what he seems and anything between them is impossible.
Star-crossed love between a human man and an alien prince from a world half a galaxy away.

This is a bit of a whimsical story. Whimsical but at the same time tremendously endearing and thoroughly entertaining. I also became – very unexpectedly I might add – quite emotional when the forces working against the two MCs just wouldn’t let up. And yes, there were a few tears.
However, the first few chapters were a bit painful to get through. Not because of the alien thing. Not because Harry’s a telepath and prince to boot. Not even because of his clueless weirdness and odd behaviour, by human standards that is. No, it was painful because of the entirely implausible way Adam reacts to Harry’s extreme strangeness. Almost instantly, Adam is totally infatuated with Harry and finds all his outrageous behaviour, all his evasive responses when asked about himself, to be completely adorable. Adam falls hard and fast and it’s just too much.
Still, after that awkward beginning, the story goes on and it’s frankly awesome, if you’re not expecting something deep and Nobel prize-y that is. It’s cute and altogether yummy. It’s a fairy tale with some X-rated sections. It’s a feel-good story with a roller-coaster middle for grown-ups who enjoy reading about against-the-odds love and male naked bits getting in close contact with other male naked bits.
There isn’t much of world-building or even character development going on, but that’s just fine. That’s not what the book is about. It’s all about the angst-y love. Lovers forced apart. Insecurities and hope. I would have loved if there had been more clashes between human and alien society (sci-fi fan here!), but the story didn’t need any of that. It’s still utterly delightful. And it had me craving more too. That Alien Feeling is the first book in the Calluvia’s Royalty series, and in the second installment – That Irresistible Poison – you get to follow Harry’s best friend and Harry’s brother. Which I’ve already started in on. So obviously, this read is well worth your time!

I loved Harry, I thought he was adorable, quirky and delightful, and I wish he had gotten to stay that way for a while longer before the story progressed. I could have read about Harry being a cuddle monkey that climbed Adam like a tree for most of the book, it was perfect.
Of course the story had to progress and the take on aliens were different, genetics and a history lesson, a world that we get an idea about but not fully. I wish we got a better view of their appearances. Other than very pretty, a bit off and wonky knees.
Over all I liked the story, mainly because Harry is so adorable, I can’t say it enough. Give me a book with Harry attempting to navigate the human world the weeks before he meets Adam.
Prince Harht’ngh’chaali of the Second Grand Clan, otherwise known as Harry, is banished to Earth as a punishment for overstepping psychic etiquette at home. This backfires, because not only does Harry become an Earth and human enthusiast, he also finds his mate, a dominant human male named Adam. Adam can’t help but fall in love with Harry and all his odd quirks. Their relationship is beautiful to watch develop as well as amusing as Harry tries to understand human culture. When Harry and Adam are ripped apart, the angst is sudden and strong, but thankful does not last long. Harry and Adam get their happy ever after, but they have to work for it. Harry is such an adorable character and I fell in love with him immediately. This book became an instant favorite, and I was sad to see it end but so happy to know there was more books in the series.
Overall Rating: 4 Stars. There was humor, cuteness, romance, and angst. The writing was wonderful and the plot was steady. I absolutely adore the characters and enjoyed reading about them.
Wow, I loved this book! I read it so fast that I was shocked when it was over. I simply could not stop. It had slightly embarrassed and quirky alien and a extremely forgiving human falling head over heels in love with each other – what’s not to love!
Harht’ngh’chaali (what a name) or simply Harry is just so everything – adorkable, sweet and naive (what were his parents thinking?) that it boggles the mind. He has such sunny personality that Adam falls for him on the spot. Adam is a regular human male with a decent job and nothing of note about his character except his ability to forgive and love. It was amusing to watch those two to try and understand each other. Oh poor Adam! His restraint was really admirable. I thought he would self combust any minute. And Harry was so confused. It was a happy moment when he was free to feel!
His disappearing acts were frankly unintentionally cruel to Adam and it was a miracle that he forgave Harry in the end. I liked this back and forth between two planets and glimpses that were given about Calluvia’s history and culture. Seyn and Ksar made it even better with their antagonism to each other – profanities flying in the air almost felt like foreplay between them. Sweet! I loved everything about MCs and their worlds! I highly recommend it!
