A SECOND-CHANCE ROMANTIC COMEDY! I love you, he said.Forever, he said.Turns out, he lied. When he leaves me high and dry after a cross-country move, I push him out of my life as much as I can, which is hard to do when the guy who broke your heart also happens to be the most famous dude in town. After a disastrous year, he’s aiming to rehab his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a … his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a promotion at the paper.
So, we strike a deal, and it’s a win-win all around.
Besides, what’s the harm in a few dates to charity galas anyway?
He’s arrogant, a total jerk. There’s no way I’ll fall for him…again.
I used to love him. Now I hate him…I think.

This is about to be the weirdest review I’ve ever written. Sworn to secrecy that no characters shall be named. It’s like the Lord Voldemort of reviews right now so sit down and read on. This book was funny but only like 9% will tug at your heart. Ok maybe 97% sorry for the typo.
Captain America and Bucky started out a lot like the other couples in this series. A lone text that sparked a friendship that turned into more. When Bucky picks up her life to finally meet Captain America It isn’t the relationship she hoped for. Captain has serious abandonment issues and figures its better to cut his losses now then hurt Bucky more. Fast forward 5 years and they cross paths again. Their best friends are getting married and they are forced to be in each other’s company. Neither one has forgot the other one and it’s a rocky start. What starts as a bribe for a job promotion for Bucky and Captain America fulfilling his promise of attending charity galas to get back into the good graces of someone important, they slowly start to fall. It’s not easy it’s bumpy and it’s messy and lord it gets steamy. I honestly love the idea of Captain America and Bucky together forever.
This review sounds like erotic fan fiction of Captain America and Bucky (which if you follow the Avengers you might see why that might be strange but not really its 2019 and that is totally acceptable in fact, I ship it) I’m sad to see this series end. It was filled with so much happiness and love and angst and funny as heck text messages. The cute pets didn’t stop at the last book I’m looking at you Steve Rodgers. Bravo to Teagan Hunter on another successful book. It makes you realize that people can change if they want to hard enough and that love an survive if you just give it time to grow. I also want to point out that though I review under the safe umbrella of this Cranky name I am not nor have I ever been a stripper.
Funny and hot with all the feels
I’ve been a fan since falling in love with Zach and Delia in the first book, so I’ve been both looking forward to and dreading getting this last book of this series. Note while this book can easily be read as a standalone, there is some crossover with the earlier books so for the best experience I’d recommend reading the series in order.
As to be expected from this series, there are plenty of text messages and also as to be expected, they are freaking hilarious. Of course, there’s hilarity outside of the text messages as well, but there’s also plenty of other emotion including pulls on the ol’ heartstrings as well as tons of chemistry. I was quickly invested in these characters as I loved the spirit and sass of “Bucky”, and there was more than one time I wanted to give the “Cap” a slap upside the back of his head, lol.
A second chance story, the author sprinkled in the couple’s history through texting flashbacks. It was genius as while I usually find flashbacks interrupt the story flow for me, that never happened here. It also meant it took a while to find out how a certain someone screwed up, which kept up the tension and helped keep me engaged in the story.
Funny and hot, with all the feels, this was a great way to end the series. 5 stars

Wow, where do I begin? I have loved each texting book more and more. I’m sad they are ending. I loved the nicknames. The mystery of what happened between Captain and Bucky. It kept the pages turning. I loved all the hot tension. The not wanting to love each other. Loved how deep down Captain was very caring and generous. Perfect conclusion to the texting books.
I loved this book so hard! I am so sad to see this series end, because I thoroughly enjoyed each book and all the couples so much. Although, I have to say that that Cap and Bucky really stole my heart and became my favorite of the pack. Loved every word!
Text Me Baby One More Time by Teagan Hunter review
Oh Teagan you beautiful writer you! I think Shep and Denver are my favorites! From the very first chapter these two and their “hate to love you” vibes held on tight to my book heart! The sass was alive and well in both of them. The back and forth was hilarious and the best kind of foreplay. Their history is delivered with seamless flashbacks that made understanding them and their current feelings towards each other understandable and totally believable. I was completely invested in the relationship with both of them and felt all the emotions as everything was built and wanted to cry for them when it burned.
I’m a huge fan of the way Tegan writes in the form of text messages as the way her characters grow their relationships. You really got to see how Shepard & Denver became to be and saw how they were able to fall for each other while becoming the best of friends. Oh and their inside jokes and phenomenal wit! HUGE FAN!
I even loved how flawed Shep was as the leading man and getting to see him come to the ending that he did. It’s so easy to fall for a hero who is perfect but there is something to be said for a well written imperfect lead and Tegan did that magically. Denver was a spectacular strong female lead as well. Easily relatable and able to connect to. I was cracking up how she called him out and every turn. There were no games on where they stood and how they felt about each other. There was just enough angst and the perfect amount of slow-fast burn! And ohhh was that chemistry delicious!
This entire series is wonderfully addictive and this was my favorite addition.

5 Star Review Text Me Baby One MoreTime by Teagan Hunter
I am late to the party reading Teagan Hunter (having only read 2 other) but when I get time I am going to go back and read the other books. This is the fourth and final book in the series and what a way to finish.
A second chance at love story that captivated me from the first chapter. There is a fine line between love and hate. Captain America is an arrogant jerk who redeemed himself by the end of this book whilst Bucky is feisty and sassy and I loved her.
This book had me laughing so much I hurt my stomach muscles. There were oh so many snort out loud moments that my husband thought I was crazy and I ended up in tears.
It was also emotional at times and Ms. Hunter wove a story that ensured I didn’t want to put it down and is a great example of romantic comedy.
One click this little gem, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Teagan did it again. Wrote another amazing book. Sad to see that this is the last of the texting book series. I loved her characters in this story( I wont give away who it is). Overall an awesome read that I think everyone will love.
I refuse to believe that we’ve reached the end of the line for this series. I REFUSE! Seriously though, if this really is it, then Teagan Hunter absolutely made sure that we got an extra epic one for last. She has undoubtedly captured my heart and tickled my funny bone from the moment I’ve read Let’s Get Textual… but with every book that came after, she just made me fall, swoon and laugh even harder.
“They make medicine for that, you know.”
“For what?”
“Your constipation. Being so fucking full of shit all the time has to start hurting after a while.”
I think one of the things I love most about this series is how candid and witty and realistic the stories and characters are. How you can relate to them so easily and see yourself in their shoes that sometimes, you just don’t ever want to leave. Or how the banter comes across so naturally that it cracks you up even more. With Text Me Baby One More Time—regardless if you’re familiar with the main couple or not—I guarantee, you’ll be falling head over heels for the hero, and connecting effortlessly with the heroine in no time.
“There are a lot of what-ifs in life. Being chickenshit isn’t a reason to walk away from something.”
I dove into this book half blind—I had no idea who the main couple would be either or where the story would even take me. All I knew was that it has every bit of Teagan Hunter’s unique brand of humor, sass and sarcasm with a twist of a second chance romance this time around. And man, I didn’t just adore every single moment of this book—I devoured it from cover to cover. It was just so adorable and emotionally satisfying, not to mention heart-fluttering and toe-curling! Cap and Bucky’s story was incredibly addictive—I literally was not able to put this book down until I knew how it all ended.
“For what it’s worth, this was never unfinished business. It can’t be, because I never stopped loving you.”
Text Me Baby One More Time may be a romantic comedy, but it’s definitely one with a lot of heart and a load of heat. Get ready to giggle, laugh out loud and fall in love with Captain and Bucky. If you’re into rom coms, second chance romances, and Teagan Hunter’s Texting series, then this is the precious pot of gold you’re waiting for. Because this book is all of that and more, wrapped into one insanely unputdownable story.
“I’m keeping you this time.”
“Are you?”
“If you’ll let me, Bucky.”
Text me baby one more time, the final installment of the texting series by Teagan Hunter and I am so sad to see them end. I am the biggest fan of this series. She knows how to give good rom-com with heat and HEA!
Cap and Bucky…..or Shep and Denny…or Slug and Den….. whoever you want to call these two have amazing chemistry. This is one of the best second-chance, rom-com, I have read in the longest time. These two-love story started long before present day. They started with, what else… texting over 1000’s of miles between them. They are reluctant friends until they realize they are more. Bucky decides she will take a leap and move across the country for Cap…. under the guise of following her best friend Alley to college. After all the texts and miles between them when Cap finally lays eyes on Bucky, he freaks out and ruins everything they have built….
Fast forward to present day, Bucky and Cap are thrown back together for Alley and AJ’s wedding and other circumstances. This brings back up all those unresolved feelings come to the surface. Cap finally reveals his true feelings and it takes so a lot to get Bucky to trust again.
If you love second chance romance, with a side of sassy rom-com and hilarious banter with a HEA, this is a must read for you. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT 10 STARS!!!
Cap and bucky are my all time favorite i love the banter between the two.. Well done teagan on another great book
Teagan Hunter has fast become a go to author of mine , I was so excited to read Text Me Baby One More Time and this book did not disappoint, what a great way to end the series.
A text turns into a friendship which then turns into love and so much more…….
A couple with a history and that history is not pleasant in fact they firmly believe they hate each other but you know there’s a very fine line between love and hate…..
This book has it all , plenty of witty funny banter that will have you laughing out loud or ar least leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat, a sassy heroine and a hero that starts out as a arrogant jerk but who soon turns into the man you love to hate, the chemistry is sizzling and even though I’m sad to see this series come to an end this author did a great job tieing everything together in the final book.
Looking forward to what’s next from this very talented author.
Love love love love love love Teagan Hunter and her romcom brain! This is such a awesome series. Funny, sassy and super awesome. Each one leaves you thinking you have a new book boyfriend til you read the next one and the next. Goats & bunnies make it PETA friendly since no animals are hurt in the making of this book. If you read one series this year, this is that series. Thank you Teagan Hunter for this ARC, loved it but I think Robbie is still my fav!
I cannot give this book enough stars!!!!!
Character A and character B are amazing! The animal in the story is fantastic and I love it!!!!!
I’m keeping every detail out of here because Teagan asked me to and since she’s fantastic I’m listening.
Book 4 in the texting series and it was superb. Start at the beginning and read! They are all funny and silly and awww mazing.
I had so many emotions reading book 4. The texting and banter were unlike anything I’ve read before not to mention the nicknames were perfect for A and B and Teagan proved that she is awesome (though we all already knew that).
The hero comes across as arrogant and self centered but once you get to know him you understand why he is the way that he is. The heroine is feisty and fiery, and she doesn’t take crap from anyone and that includes the hero.
They have a past until the actions of the hero drove a wedge between them that hasn’t been bridged. Five years later he is back in town and fate has thrown them together. They work out an arrangement that is beneficial to both of them, what could possibly go wrong?
This is a friends to enemies to lovers story as well as a second chance at love. The hero is determined to get the girl back and she makes him want to be a better man. It is a fun and flirty story filled with humor, emotion and romance. Although it is sad to see this series end it definitely ended on a high note and it was great to reconnect with the other characters we know and love in this series.
4.5 Stars
I’m a relatively late comer to the Text Me Series, and Teagan Hunter’s writing and I’m sad to say I haven’t had the chance to read the entire series as yet, but I absolutely adored the final addition to the series, Text Me Baby One More Time.
Text Me Baby One More Time is a heartwarming and sweet story full of humor that will have you laughing out loud and leave you with a smile upon your face.
This title is both an enemies to lovers romance, and a second chance romance. The hero is the type you want to hate, he’s cocky, arrogant and irreverent but it’s his vulnerability that draws you in. The heroine is strong, sassy, spirited and fun. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself, and tell it like it is. I adored the fun, flirtatious and witty banter between the hero and heroine that takes place via text and face to face. I adored the connection and chemistry this pair share. Their shared past means they can predict each other’s thoughts and feelings, and their friendship is just as undeniable as the chemistry and connection they share, that just oozes off the page.
Generally I’m not a fan of books with flashbacks, but Teagan Hunter’s books just flow so well, and the plot moves between the past and present seamlessly.
If you love a romantic comedy I highly recommend Text Me Baby One More Time, and I can’t wait to see where Ms Hunter’s writing takes readers next.
I have to be honest. I have mixed feelings about this one. Yes, I enjoyed it. The banter was amazing. It had the right amount of heat and humor. Bucky and Cap had a true friendship that I absolutely loved. They were totally meant to be. Annnnd, there’s even a pug named Steve! I mean, this book pretty much had it ALL!
Here’s my problem though. I can admit sometimes I can be a super salty and a bit of a grudge holder. So, while the hero has some major redeeming qualities – charming, funny, sexy as hell – it’s taking me some time to get over some of his past mistakes. To the point where I couldn’t fully root him on. I know that this is totally a me problem and I should just get over it. And, I will. I just didn’t do it while reading this book.
The heroine though! I’m all about her. Love her sass, her humor, and her ability to keep Cap on his toes. Loved her.
Now, that my saltiness has been exposed, I will say that Text Me Baby One More Time was a really great story of redemption and second chances. I am so in love Teagan’s writing style. It’s equal parts funny and heartfelt. It’s bittersweet that this is the last book in one of my favorite series ever but it was a nice way to go out.
Text Me Baby One More Time was a brilliant, original, and humorous story from Teagan Hunter. I thoroughly enjoyed the texting banter between these two “friends of friends.” They met via texting about their mutual friends who planned to become engaged near the end of high school. They felt this was foolish and needed to divert their attention to college but in the process they sparked an interest in each other while not even having met face to face. Their story spans the course of 6 years, which includes part of high school, college and finally into their career and life choices. You will enjoy this roller coaster journey of life and love with copious amounts of sarcasm and humor. I now need to read all the books that preceded this little gem. I am sure you will agree that it more than earned its place on my list of must reads. I give it 4.5 stars for sarcasm and steam.

NO SPOILERS!
Teagan Hunter once again knocked it out of the romantic comedy park with Text Me Baby One More Time! The storyline and characters were fan-freaking-tastic, and the hilarious and laugh-out-loud banter was icing on the cake. I loved everything from beginning to end, and was so happy with the final standalone in the Texting series. I had no idea who the main characters were going to be for Text Me Baby One More Time, and while I couldn’t have been more shocked, I loved them so much. Ms. Hunter had me laughing, smiling, and swooning my heart out from start to finish, and I was very happy with the conclusion to this awesome couples’s story. The entire Texting series from Teagan Hunter was AMAZING and a definite MUST READ, and I would highly recommend them all!
Cap and Bucky! Teagan Hunter’s last book in the Text series is my favorite! A TOTAL MUST READ! Even if you have not read the others, pick this one up cause you will totally fall in love with Shepard and Denver. Then you will go back and read the others, because this book will hook you into the series and you’ll be rushing to read the rest.
Full of witty, hilarious banter and exploits there is a more serious side to the story too. I would say it’s like a roller coaster ride but it’s probably more like a slow, building elevator ride to the top that drops like a rock when truths come out. But you don’t crash, you just kind of linger there until the elevator skyrockets to the top taking away your breath an making your heart beat harder with all the feels.
