A SECOND-CHANCE ROMANTIC COMEDY! I love you, he said.Forever, he said.Turns out, he lied. When he leaves me high and dry after a cross-country move, I push him out of my life as much as I can, which is hard to do when the guy who broke your heart also happens to be the most famous dude in town. After a disastrous year, he’s aiming to rehab his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a … his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a promotion at the paper.
So, we strike a deal, and it’s a win-win all around.
Besides, what’s the harm in a few dates to charity galas anyway?
He’s arrogant, a total jerk. There’s no way I’ll fall for him…again.
I used to love him. Now I hate him…I think.

Teagan Hunter’s other “Text” books have been hilariously funny and super hot and this one is no exception. I love reading a book that makes me laugh out loud and if it makes me do it often, then it’s even better. Denver and Shepard have a past. She moved across the country for him and he dumped her. She’s hated him ever since. But he’s back in town and she needs him for a story. He needs her for a some charity events. What could happen? She hates him, right? Only he’s not letting her go this time.
Wow. Pleasantly surprised!
When I first realized this book was about Zach’s horrible, skeevy, jerk, douchebag, dickhead, (I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture) brother Shep, I was skeptical. No matter what he’s like now, he’s still the one who did what he did to his brother’s girlfriend. (Read ‘Let’s Get Textual’ – it’s awesome!) But every “villian” deserves their own backstory to be told. I’m so glad Shep’s was told!! He’s not completely a total creepy piece of crap as you think he is.
This is all about second chances that he screwed up in the first place. Denny is patient enough to be one of those that he’s trying to get a second chance with. She’s his high school ‘love’ that they’ve only really known each other over texts.
Shep does have redeeming qualities, he knows he was a dirtbag, and he is trying to set things right. He just has to get Denny to see that too.
I loved it & loved all the characters!
Jesus Criminy, as soon as I think I’ve found my favorite lead, Teagan brings me a new one! Shep is FAR from perfect, but that may just be what I love most about him. One of my favorite parts of this was the back and forth from when him and Denny were in High School. I loved seeing the different sides of these two.
My favorite part, was how much they hadn’t changed! They continued to be witty and sarcastic, and that made them the perfect brand of awesome. I mean for real, these two are like PB&J, CLASSIC! I loved that they constantly gave each other shit, they didn’t care what people thought of them, and weren’t afraid to be themselves. From stupid ho-bags to tiny dick jokes, the amazingness never stopped! Of course we have to have a little bit of sad, sappy and down right stupid in there, or else it just would’t be as interesting. We definitely got a good bit of that, especially the “down right stupid” from Shep. In fact I had completely forgotten about that little bomb that went off until it was mentioned at the wedding!
Now its supporting character talk time. I LOVEDDDDDDDD the involvement of Allie and AJ in this book! These two really made a difference. Of course we got the perfect amount of Zoe, Delia and Monty, but AJ and Allie really took the cake. Life just ins’t the same without a best friend, and I adored that Allie was bff’s w Denver and AJ was bff’s w Shep. It was just too darn perfect. Although, Monty had one of the best LMAO moments in the book with her talk of marrying Shep for his amazing pug, Steve. OH-EM-GEE, I can’t leave out STEVE!!! Steve was equally amazing as a secondary character, especially since it wasn’t so much about him, but the reactions to him LOLOL. The animals in these stories really help take them to a new level. LOLOL
Kudos Teagan, Kudos. I’m ready for the next guy to steal the spotlight!
After 3 books, the idea of texting was still refreshing. I loved Teagan’s sense of humor, wit and sarcasm. I had so much fun reading this second chance, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance. The book made me laugh out loud, swoon a little and left me with all the warm and fuzzies. It’s always hard to say goodbye to a lovely gang of friends, I felt like I’m part of the group and I’m so lost without them. If you love rom-coms and you haven’t read any of the texting books, I strongly urge you to give it a go; you won’t be disappointed.
I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Text Me Baby One More Time is book four in the Text series but it can be read as a standalone. Shepard is sexy and cocky but he’s also sweet and thoughtful. Denver is a down to earth girl who you never know what’s going to come out of her mouth. She and Shepard have a pass that left them both hurt. Their paths cross again. Denver want to hate him but it’s tough for her not to like him. These two have great banter and a great story line. I loved reading about this two.
GAHHHH. I’m so in love with this book! Like in the rest of the texting series, there’s lots of sass, cute animals, & so much humor. I was so curious as to who this book would be about and Teagan didn’t disappoint! They were so great to watch fall in love and find their HEA.
I think this was my absolute favorite of the texting books. It was funny, sweet, sexy and just a little bit sad. Shep, the villain since Let’s Get Textual has to prove that he is a changed man for the better. Sassy Denver has to decide if she can risk her heart again. Can these two heal old wounds and find their second chance at love? The only thing that would have made this book better considering that is the last of the texting series would have been an epilogue. I would have loved an extended epilogue that wrapped up all of the couples from this series.
Never in my life have I wished I could be texting a guy like I did while reading this book! Full of brilliant humor, smart talking wit and realism that had a charm that is hard to find in many books, this book had it all.
Without giving too much away about the lead characters, let me just say that I was completely smitten with everything about this book. As an author that is new to me, Teagan created a wonderful escape from my own life with her bright characters and off the charts humor. This is for sure one author that I will be one-clicking from now on!
As far as this title, let’s just say if the lead of this book asked me to text him one more time… I think I would have to!
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains” – Lit-Up My Mind
I don’t know why it took me so long to finally read from the Text series, but I decided to jump in with Text Me Baby One More Time. I thoroughly enjoyed my first time read from Teagan and couldn’t get enough of her writing. I was so drawn into her words and just wanted more. Thankfully, I have three books to read from this series, so it’s technically not over for me.
As much as I loved Teagan’s writing and the hilarious banter between Shepherd and Denver, I just couldn’t get behind Shep’s reasons for keeping away from Denver. They just weren’t enough for me to really be ok with what he did. To me, he was the definition of a man child. As much as I loved them together, he definitely doesn’t go down as one of my favorite heroes.
Besides all that, I really enjoyed the story for the most part, I couldn’t stop chuckling over the fun and witty relationship that Shep and Denver had with each other. Second chance romances are my absolute kryptonite, so I’m always eager to get to the end to see their happy ever after. Even with all the humor, Teagan effortlessly weaves in the emotions where it punches you right where it hurts. And I was allllllll there for it!
Their texting relationship was something I adored because I’ll be honest, it was reminiscent to my little love story with my husband and how our relationship first started. Ah memories, gotta love them. It was so cute to see how things started for them, which will definitely have you rooting for them instantly.
I know all the books in this series can be read as a standalone, but I think it’s better if you start from book 1. There were a bunch of characters that I had my guesses who they all were and how they tied in with everything. But I’d probably would have made my reading experience better if I read all the previous books. So it was a bit of an overload for me, but I was intrigued to learn more about all these side characters.
Teagan definitely has some memorable-comical dialogue that I couldn’t stop laughing at and ones that made me eager to read more. So yeah, although Shep wasn’t my favorite, still loved reading this gem of a story.
Teagan Hunter
I’m not 100% sure what to say about this book. It’s been quite awhile I read the first book in the series which kind of has a big impact on this story but I will say that I really enjoyed it. Shepard and Denver had this relationship that spanned years before this book took place and I liked seeing the past and present aspects.
I liked the whole hate to love and the laughter that ensured when it come to Denver’s wit and attitude. I won’t go into too much detail because there wasn’t a ton ton of drama but what drama there was was something that kept me hooked on the story.
Slight Spoiler????
The end was really abrupt and I wish there had been more too it but it wasn’t terrible. Just very fast. Also, it felt like the issues that Shep was facing with his team was just left in the wings. I mean, did he go back to playing baseball? Did they have to move so he could follow his dream more? This and more. There was just so much that was left because of the abrupt ending that it annoyed me a little. I like a fully rounded story and while for the most part that’s what this was, I was still left wondering things.
I’m not sure what the author will be working on next but I kind a hope that it can be a baseball type series that follows Shepard’s team…. maybe? Some of them were pretty great. This author has a knack for writing romcoms and I can only imagine what she can do with some hotties in baseball pants. 4 stars #2OCCJD

One of my favorite new authors writes about my favorite superhero of all time? What’s not to love?! This author makes my little nerd heart go all aflutter!
Teagan Hunter does it again with Text Me Baby One More Time; I adored this book from start to finish! She pulled off a dang miracle because I hated the main character…for at least a couple chapters. Although the first book in her texting series (all of which can be read as standalones) will always be my favorite, she made me, yes MADE ME fall in love with these characters.
TMBOMT is a friends to kind of lovers to bitter enemies and back to lovers book. It’s about second chances when you screw up, bad. When the characters “met” via text all those years ago, neither could’ve seen where it would go but just like they did, I fell in love over those texts. They were sweet and funny as hell and those words just meant so much. But he broke them. He’s back to make things right, to the only person who ever mattered. His ride or die, his end of the line. It’s good in theory but she hates him, doesn’t she?
She wants to hate him but has never pulled it off. Yes, he broke her heart but now that he’s back, she realizes how much Cap and Bucky were really meant to be. But can she ever trust him?
I read this in one sitting, clutching my Kindle and devouring every word while simultaneously hating how close I was to the end. The characters were so beautifully flawed and utterly hilarious. Their banter was awesome and this author has such an awesome quirky sense of humor. Their amazing cast of friends and the ridiculously adorable menagerie of animals were just icing on this very delicious cake! Such a fun book and I can’t wait for more from Teagan Hunter!
AnnMarie – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Their relationship started when they lived over two thousand miles apart. A desperate text to hatch a plan to convince their best friends that getting engaged at 18 wasn’t a good idea. It quickly grew to a friendship and then so much more. Enough that it convinced Denver to move across the country to go to the same college Shepard and their mutual friends planned to attend.
But things went oh so wrong when Shep panicked and pushed Denny away before they had a chance to really be together. And now, six years later, Denny hates Shep. But, Shep never stopped loving her . . . and, just maybe she still has feelings for him too.
Shepard Clark is having one heck of a year. When he’s suspended from his MLB team and told he has to fix his reputation, he heads home . . . and to Denny. He’s not the same guy he used to be, and he’s ready to prove it to her. Denny really doesn’t want to deal with Shep after he left her completely heart broken . . . but she needs a promotion, and Shep might just be the key to that, so maybe they can use each other without letting feelings get involved. She can attend a few charity galas as his date and he will give her an exclusive interview for the newspaper she works for.
But, Shep wants to be all in again. He’s calling dibs and wants to be the Cap to her Bucky. He’s going to do everything he can to win Denny back if only he can keep from messing up again.
While I’m sad to see the end of Teagan’s Texting Series, Text Me Baby One More Time was a phenomenal way to wrap things up and end on a high note! The banter via text and in person is always off the hook in these books, but I really think that Denny and Shep take the cake! Their banter is verbal foreplay and shows the growth of their relationship from their very first text.
Shep is a good guy who has a bad habit of acting out rather than using words and gets caught doing stupid and impulsive things. Denny is about as sassy as can be and totally gives Shep a run for his money as he tries to win her back. Together, this couple is sassy and sexy and so fun to read about. And, while this can easily be read as a standalone, fans of the series get to catch up with the other couples from the series as Shep and Denny work things out.
This was definitely my favorite of the series and I read it straight through. Grab some ice-cream or stock up on some dollar menu snacks and dive right in to Text Me Baby One More Time . . .you won’t regret it! 5 stars!
Text Me Baby One More Time is the final book in Teagan Hunter’s hilariously entertaining Text series and I must admit that this moment is a little bittersweet because I am so freaking sad to see this phenomenal series come to an end, but as they say “all good things must come to an end.” That simple phrase couldn’t be more perfect than to describe this very moment. Although every story is considered to be a standalone, I strongly encourage you to read them in order so that you have the opportunity to get the full experience since these beautifully unique characters and their storylines are intertwined and their one of a kind friendships are so amazing!
When I first dove into this book I had no freaking clue who the main characters were going to be, but let’s just say that you are going to be beyond shocked and will fall head over heels in love with them. The author’s writing is definitely on point and her character development still has me swooning days after devouring this extraordinary story. Although readers will certainly get the witty banter and hilarious moments that they have come to expect and crave between the main characters, there is also an emotional aspect that will leave you all pleasantly surprised and with some heartstring pulling here and there. Just trust me when I tell you all that you will certainly find yourself falling more and more in love with this author and her characters as you inhale every new chapter.
Text Me Baby One More Time was the perfect ending to Teagan Hunter’s best series yet (although all of her books are incredible and you should totally go check them out)! This story is a must read and one of my top reads of the year for sure!

I flove this book! Denver was awesome! Despite her strict up bringing she was very outgoing, outspoken and outstanding. Her wit cracked me up. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Shep after reading about him in a previous book but man did he win me over. Just misunderstood and afraid to show his feelings.
The banter between the two was epic! I found myself laughing out loud. I love how this series is interconnected buy can be read as standalone.
I recommend this book and series if you are looking for a laugh out loud, great chemistry between the heroine and hero, rom-com book!
This series quickly became one my favorites and Teagan quickly joined the ranks of my very favorite authors. My review will be somewhat vague to prevent spoiling the characters involved. Text Me Baby One More Time was an incredible finale to the texting series. I fell in love with Teagan’s humor when I read the first book in the series, Let’s get Textual. So much so, that my friends and even my mom have recently read the first book in the series and have said they just want more.
The whole series is filled with humor and I found myself laughing out loud at parts. Each book flows so well and was so hard to put down that I flew through them in no time. Each time I couldn’t wait for the next one in the series to be released.
The characters in this book had some history and we get to see how their story unfolds and they find their way back to each other through dual POV. The story us full of both heart and plenty of wit. I’m so sad to see the series end, but so thankful to have stumbled upon this author when the first book released. Such a fun, sweet series. I think I’m due for a reread…
I’ve really enjoyed the texting series by Teagan Hunter and was dying to know who the characters were going to be in Text Me Baby One More Time…. and guys you will NOT be disappointed!!!! I was happy to get to know the heroine better and get a glimpse into her past and how everyone interconnected. As for the hero, oh man we’re there moments that I didn’t like him, but I also rooted for him to grow the heck up! I really liked how Teagan interwove the past text conversations with the present, it was actually a pretty clever way and wasn’t choppy at all. I really enjoyed this book and am sad to say goodbye to such great characters.
I’m not a big fan of second chance romance, BUT Teagan Hunter rocked it!!! I really enjoyed the banter between the two main characters and all of the references. The texting once again KILLS me. Teagan is one of my FAVORITE romcom authors and this book proves that. While I loved Hit Me Baby One More Time SO MUCH, it was probably my least favorite out of the texting books.
Woah! Text Me Baby One More Time will pull you in, in a way you never knew you needed. The characters are AMAZING! The chemistry is crazy between them! Teagan, you’re amazing!
Being a jerk when you can’t express your feelings usually ends up with you not getting what you wanted. Cap & Bucky have the best chemistry. They are great for each other and make the other one better. I swooned with all the things Cap did to win back Bucky. I loved seeing how they were connected to the other characters from the Texting Series. I’m so sad it’s over.
“I’m not blind, especially when it comes to you, Bucky.”
Oh man, this book. I have no words. This was definitely one of my most anticipated releases for 2019! I love TH so, so much. Her books make me laugh until I cry. This one had me swooning one minute, laughing the next, and then fanning myself from the sizzling chemistry between Cap and Bucky! I am so sad to see this world be coming to a close. I’m crossing my fingers she’ll write another character because we neeeeed more texting!
“I’d give forever a shot with you.”
