***4 ‘Tequila makes her…’ Stars***
I do love me a good wrong number romance, so choosing to pick up Text 2 Lovers didn’t take much convincing. But it was the tequila soaked opening chapter that hooked me and found the book to be a fun, sweet, smexy, laugh outloud while at times a tad bit over the top Rom Com with a cast of characters that are hard to forget.
Dani is a doormat, though she doesn’t necessarily see herself in that light. She believes in being nice to everyone and that leads her to have a difficult time saying no and being taken advantage of, even by her own friend. Dani had me wanting hug her all the while shaking some sense into her. I loved that she really was a genuinely sweet person who saw the good in people, but the girl really needed to grow a backbone. Her rambling when excited or nervous was cute and I enjoyed watching as she figured out how to be nice without being taken advantage of.
Ram has hit rock bottom. Fired unceremoniously and humiliatingly from his job, he hasn’t figure out just how to pull himself out of it until a scathing, yet funny, text finds its way to his phone. I loved Ram. He is a mix of sweet, sexy and a little dorky but has a little bit of caveman that likes to come out and play.
Dani and Ram’s ‘text to lovers’ journey was a fun one. I loved how their relationship grew through texts and phone calls as well as the smexy turn it took. I laughed at their interactions and couldn’t wait to see how they’d finally collide in the ‘real world’, and it was brilliant, talk about Fate stepping in to get them past the plateau they were on. From there things progress quickly in some ways but it worked since they had spent so much time on the phone together and there were a lot of sweet and swoony moments. Then that big ‘ole damaging pot hole in the road came and I have to be honest and say that it just didn’t work for me. I had a feeling that this particular issue would come into play, but the reaction to it when it does had me going “What? Seriously? That’s what you’re going to do?” Yeah, I wasn’t feeling it at all (though, to play devil’s advocate I must give props to the authors for getting that reaction out of me instead of being apathetic about it) and had it not been for what had gone on prior to that with Dani and Ram I would have totally given up. But I loved Dani and Ram together so will saw that I am happy that they got back on track.
Despite my one issue, this was a fun, quick read. The writing was seamlessly done and you can tell just how much fun these two authors had writing Dani and Ram’s story. As I stated in the beginning, there are some over the top things that happen and may not work for you, but for the most part I was good with them because some of the things that happened would be something my friends and I would get up to. The supporting cast of characters all peaked my interest and though there is one that I wanted to gag, permanently, I am curious to find out what makes that particular character tick so will more than likely pounce on that book but make sure I have a fifth of whiskey close by while reading it.

Cute wrong-number text romance. Dani and Ram were cute together. Yes, there was drama and misunderstandings and then making up. Includes an Intro to Andie and Roman’s story, which I’m still not quite sure I want to read. They were a little obnoxious.
I wanted an epilogue to see where Dani and Ram ended up later on but I’m sure they probably make an appearance in the other books. We’ll see…
Wow, what a book! It was intense, funny, sweet, dramatic, and left me with jaw dropping suspense. What more could you ask for, right? Loved, loved, loved it.
5 HOLY SHITBUCKETS Stars
I had heard this book was good, but I didn’t expect the laugh out loud goodness that came from this book. I didn’t expect to fall in love with Dani and Ram. I didn’t expect to find my next book boyfriend in Ram’s brother, Roman (I have a thing for the hate fuck). I didn’t expect a wrong number to turn into something oh-so-right. And this book was oh-so-right. It was cute and fun and low on the angst, but it was also sweet and loving and real.
She soothes parts of me I didn’t know were upset. Her presence warms parts of me that I didn’t realize were cold and bitter.”
Ram is a bit broken and needs something to go right for him. Just once.
Dani is coming out of a shitty relationship and is in desperate need of a backbone.
One wrong number later and these two are the absolute best thing for each other.
A chance encounter–or three-brings Dani and Ram face to face.
Sexual tension flies.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Never been surer,” I reply.
“You swear? Because once I get started with you, there is no stopping me.”
The sex is hot. The sex is real and full of emotion. The sex is dirty. Ram has a mouth on him and he isn’t afraid to use it.
As cute and sweet and heartwarming Dani and Ram are, my heart lies with Andie and Roman. Some of the best scenes involve these crazy characters and I can’t wait to see more of them in Hate 2 Lovers.
Anyway, here’s why they rock my world:
“I wasn’t born with enough middle fingers to let you know how I feel about you,” he says sadly. “So it’s just Fuck and You.” He waggles his middle fingers and his grin is wicked.
I thought she’d been kidding, but she was serious. In the past two months, I’ve seen her when I go out with Dani and Ram, but we haven’t fucked. That much. Way less than before. Okay, so it waas this morning. But still…we’re in no better position than we were months ago. Hate fucking on speed dial is how you’d define our “relationship.”
Yeah, I’ve got it bad for Roman. I can’t help it. I just recently said all books should have a hate fuck. Andie and Roman are the definition of hate fucking.
“You let him hump you on the street?”
Its the start of nothing good. I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages to the wrong number. And he replied. The story line for this book was a predictable one but still a very sweet romance, a bit of an instant love but the characters were sweet and likable.
4.5 stars. Very fun read, can’t wait for more in this series.
I am in love with these amazingly talented Authors!!!
This is the funniest and romantically hott romance I have ever listened to!! Priceless narrative, the storyline is so realistic from Ramsy’s point of view.
A text from a drunk Dani to a wrong number turns into a romantic comedy, with the help of her bff, Andi! When Ramsy receives a funny wrong text from Dani, he enjoys texting with her. Since his personal life is a bit complicated. What turns into strangers, turns out into sexting.
I loved, loved and loved this story!! The storyline, the flow, the narrative, the romance, the comedy and intense love scenes. Everything and everyone in this story are so cohesive!!! Such a wonderful collaberation between two awesome authors.
I am addicted to this series, and I have never, ever laughed so much with any of my hundreds/many many books ever!!
This the bet romcom with a great storyline, and characters and serious plot. laugh out loud comedy and romance. I love happily ever afters. I would have loved an epilogue. But, that oaky!
This series is super cute. I read book 2 first and I’m glad I came back to get Ram and Danis story. I love the idea of knowing your soulmate as soon as you see them. I really loved the whole wrong number texting back and forth aspect. I like how there is no holds barred when you don’t have to see someone face to face. It lets you be so much more bold and dani needs that desperately. Ram just needed some good in his life. He found his happiness in Dani. He just needed her to make him smile. I loved how cute they were. I absolutely loved Andi and Roman’s relationship and do wish I would have read them in order now. These two were hilarious.
This book was so funny. Dannj has just been cheated on by her boyfriend and after some tequila and the help of her BFF and a bartender she decides to text her ex only she gets Ram instead. Their relationship heats up quickly over text and it explodes when they meet each other in person. So many laugh out loud situations in this book with great characters, not only Ram and Danni but Brett and Andie and Roman too.
This book was so good! It was hilarious, it was sexy, and it was super fun! The characters were lovable and entertaining and I miss them already. Fabulous read!
Have you ever gotten a random text from a total stranger that wasn’t supposed to be for you? I have. Quite a few times, actually. NONE of them turned out to be this cute 🙂 What a fantastic little story! What captivated me to read the story was the fact that I’ve had randoms before and they were fun, but never THIS fun 🙂
I loved everything about this story, to be honest. Dani and Ram are ridiculously likeable. The drama/conflict in the story was a bit cliche, but it was a very small portion of the story so it didn’t even phase me. The fun these two had developing a relationship is what’s gold here. Their journey was super sexy and witty and all around full of heart!
Loved this entire series.
When drunken texting goes so wrong or goes so right. Depending how you look at it. Dani sends a drunk text and suddenly finds herself in this weird textlationship with a mystery guy named Ram. He is so attentive, sweet and kind. Dani finds herself falling in love with her drunk text goes wrong guy, Ram.
Ram has been thru the ringer of late. He found himself just moving thru life and then comes Dani into his life and she is like a breath of fresh and sexy air for him. She comes into his life on a wave of texts telling him off. He went from being apathic about his life to suddenly smiling and finding joy in life all because of this crazy chick named Dani who brought him back to life.
Fate brings these two together and it’s a new beginning, a new start for them both but there is a hidden villain, miscommunication and lies that can spell the end of this perfect duo. Oh this was a fabulous read that kept me hooked from start to finish and now there is a book 2 involving Dani’s BFF Andrea and Ram’s brother Roman- oh I soo cant wait. They were the couple to watch for as a secondary backup couple in this book and now they get their own book next. They are just as hot as the MC in this book and let me tell you, I was hooked by the passion and intensity by Ram and Dani with their bedroom antics. Wow! I loved their complex past and their emotional present /future. I am eagerly awaiting bk2 in this series. I promise you , you will me in stiches laughing, you will be angry at times and wanting to punch some people and a lot of times you will be wanting to hug/kiss abunch of people. You will know when you read which goes with what. Text2Lovers is one of those books that will be known as one of the best of 2017.
My Rating: 4. 8 stars *****
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Romantic comedy in which the female lead wasn’t my favorite at times but it didn’t take away from enjoying this story.
Loved this delicious f-u-n-n-y, fast paced comedy romance read that was a pleasant change from dark romance. (just a little one)
A night out with her bestie to drink away her sorrows over her recent break up with her twatty boyfriend turn into quite the evening when Dani decides to send the ex nasty text messages.
Except, they were sent to the wrong number!
Said wrong number belonged to Ram, and he too was having his own need for an outlet as he’s been fired by his own brother!
Well, of course he texts back!
The result is pure magic!
I absolutely LOVED this book!! My neighbors probably think I’m insane because I was laughing out loud so much!! This book is hilarious, but it will also make you cry and get frustrated, and angry as hell!! I enjoyed the book from start to finish and I promise you will too!! So I definitely recommend you buy this book, you will not be sorry!!! I can’t wait for the next book, but don’t worry it doesn’t end in this huge cliff-hanger that will drive you insane, it will just leave you wanting more!!! Enjoy!!
4.5 stars of spectacular use of cuntversation
Not a typo.
Where to start?
I’m not even sure I know what just happened. Ok, so that was a lie. I called the ending but then it’s really just a beginning…
Does the vague get to you? Do you want to strangle me? Or will you apologize for thinking negative thoughts?
Are you Andie or sweet little Dani?
It all begins with a cheating douche and angry drunk texting. What she thought was an ending to her sleazy ex by sending a mean drunk text turns out to be something specuntular.
Crazy texts and hot phone calls
lies and favorite things
wild, wild lust
some amazingly ridiculous yo mommas jokes
possible anger management in the future
This books warning label should be:
If you see Andie walking down the street, run for your f©cking life. -Roman
Texting strangers is dangerous unless they turn out to be amazing people. But don’t text strangers, they can be scary. Sorry, not saying your scary just. Ok, I’m sorry that was mean. Again, sorry. But really…- Dani
Texting strangers is completely safe. I’ll show you mine, if you show me yours. Coffee, taffy, anything just to see you…- Ram
I’m going to cut that f©¢%™«…- Andie [ Sorry, ladies and gentlemen we had to bleep out the remainder for the sensitive ears present and of course the gentle souls reading as well. – the eyes on the reviewers]
Mistakes will be made. – Reagan
Now those are just my take on the characters that will take you on a highly entertaining ride. You will be up, down, and side ways with the mood swings and trouble they get into. I highly advise opting out of the tequila drink offs but definitely would go out for the insults.
reviewed for the Sweet Spot Sisterhood
This book was literally so hilarious. I am a big fan of books like this with the texts and such! I mean they are great!!
Plus Webster and Hollyfield writing together just fully works.
It is such an upbeat and fun read.
Disclaimer: anything I write cannot be held against me due to a sugar rush high !
I love and adore kristi
OK, now that’s out of the way …..
It’s the cutest, most hilarious story I’ve read by kristi. I think it’s the JD effect !!
Ramsey and Dani get together by accident, and this leads to them texting or setting pretty soon. Hilarious texts, funny situations later they actually become a couple. I’ve been a loyal Kristi reader and am a sworn Krazy For Kristi and her dark warped mind, and was thoroughly expecting a dark turn or twist that never came.
When Ram is texting her, I’m fully expecting him stalking her in a dark van , peeping inside her window, breaking into her home and sniffling her underwear.
But alas…that wasn’t to be !
Or when they have sweet passionate sex, I’m thinking Now Kristi ! Make him tie her up and spank her hard and bite her or at least flog her !
But alas, it wasn’t to be ..
I expected Ram and Roman to be the same guy, yanno…stalking her , and then in the end he turns into a psycho, kidnaps her and rapes her with dual personality.
Alas it wasn’t to be…..
The story is so sweet gave me diabetes (just kidding)
I kept waiting for the pliers to pull out a tooth or the whole set and bleed all over the story 🙂 <--------- Kristi's words, not mine 🙂 I loved it like candy , I devoured it like doughnuts and I'm on a sugar high like Godiva chocolates . So I give it 4.5 CandySaga stars
This is a funny, romantic, story. Once I started I could not put it down.
What happens when you find out your boyfriend is cheating and dump him only to get drunk and txt the wrong number thinking it is your ex’s number. This is how it starts and I loved the txt messages between Dani and Ram, there are laugh out loud moments in parts you just can’t help it.
I loved Dani, she is sweet, she was shy but she really grows as the book goes on.
Then you have Ram, I loved him he is fun, and oh he has a dirty mouth.
Together they make each other better.
The secondary Characters are great too Andie and Roman omg these too hate each other but…. well they had me cracking up laughing I really can’t wait for the next book to get their story.
All in all, great story, if you are looking for something fun to read then I highly recommend this book.
