“Text” was a riveting read. The easy-to-read fast-paced page-turning plot was filled with intrigue, suspense, romance, and a tad of levity. Moreover, the main characters, Honor and Nathan, were soulmates and exuded chemistry. Throughout the book, the reader was taken on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. It was a thrilling ride!
Would you text a stranger from the phone you swiped from your attacker? Would that person believe his friend would do something like kidnap a girl and dump her in a hole?
This story was one outside of my normal reading realm, and I was glad it popped up on my radar. It was intriguing and a bit scary, and maddening, everything a story needs. And a HEA!

I’ve lost count with how many times that I’ve read this book as it’s one of my go to reads from Cambria’s Take It Off Series but I’ve just never gotten around to posting a review so here goes. Honor writes paranormal romance books from home. She’s running along a trail near her house and is jumped by this man, she tries her hardest to escape but it’s no use and he ends up taking her god knows where after he knocked her out and throws her in hole in the middle of the woods before leaving. Even though Honor is frightened she takes his phone and hides it up her jacket pocket without him knowing while they were fighting. She tries to ring 911 a couple of times but the calls keep dropping due to bad service so she thinks there’s no hope as since she lives by herself and works from home how long would it be before someone knows she’s missing. Nathan is a marine who is off work for a couple of days and it’s poker night with some friends/acquaintances. When a guy named Lex is late who’s meant to be bringing the, he messages him to see where he is as the guy who’s bringing the beer shouldn’t be late but he really wasn’t expecting the reply he received saying that the guy whose phone this is k*dnapped her and assumes that it’s a joke. Nathan tells her to prove it and then receives a photo of Honor all bruised holding a silver locket up so he decides he’s going to help her. He needs to work out what he’s going to do so he gets up to get another beer and sees the news about a missing young women called Mary but it isn’t the women’s face that he recognises it’s the silver locket around her neck, the one that Honor was holding up in the photo so now Nathan knows that Lex has k*dnapped at least two women if not more. Nathan goes to the police station to report Honor missing but since there’s been a major accident there’s no police available so he decides to use his training as a Marine and rescue her before Lex has time to go back and finish what he started. Yes, their love story is extremely fast paced but due to the stressful situation they’re in it didn’t bother me as much as other insta-love stories do. I enjoyed the humour as a lot of people laugh in stressful situations. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
I loved this book from the very beginning. Honor was a strong female character who never gave up. She fought for her life and was smart when it wasn’t easy. Nathan saw a woman in need and didn’t even hesitate. He did the right thing from the very beginning as well, even though it wasn’t easy.
This is a story about trust, being brave, and fighting for what one knows is right. You also get to a hot, steamy romance when two strangers find what they need. It brings hope where there was none and I enjoyed watching them fall in love.
Text was the fourth book in Cambria’s Take it off series or the fifth if you are reading the box set. Text was more suspenseful then the others, a living nightmare!! But don’t worry, it still had steam!
Coming back from a run, Honor’s favorite trail became the scene of her worst nightmare. Alone, with no one in sight she tried her best to fend off her attacker but he was just too strong. After a blow to the head, he took her deep into the woods and tossed her in a hole. With a promise to return, he took off. She was beaten, bruised and afraid but she had a sliver of hope. She was able to steal his phone but would she be able to get service?
Nathan was ready for a night with the guys, he wanted a beer or two and to play some cards. But when a text came through with a cry for help, were his buddies playing a joke or was it for real?
It became a race against the clock. Would Nathan find Honor in time and would they make it out alive?
Holy action!! Text kept me on the edge of my seat; I think it was my second favorite of the series so far. It had its moments which included eye rolling, but overall it was a fun read.
One text was all it took to connect these two together forever. What a crazy, twisted, suspenseful story!!!!! I freaking LOVED Nathan the hero! He was so swoon-worthy! Gah!
This quick read is a must! It was dramatic and heartbreaking. But so worth the ride! Such a unique concept for a story.

The plot for this book is fantastic. It’s brilliant! Tons of action, drama, romance and a tiny touch of darkness. You’ll be at the edge of your seat in the first chapter and you’ll stay there the whole time.
The characters were great! Both likeble.
•Honor is a strong heroine. She never gives up and fights back. She also loves fiercely.
•Nathan is a strong marine who never turns his back on anyone. He immediately throws himself in danger to protect. When it comes to Honor, he wears his heart on his sleeve.
HEA
I really liked this story. Honor is strong, witty, feisty, and funny. I liked Nathan I was just disappointed with the way his being a marine was portrayed. Being married to a military man I guess I’m pretty nitpicky about it. *spoiler alert* when he went to the police station he would have reported a kidnapping and showed the picture and texts. When he went after Honor he would have been better prepared, rope, weapons, better medical supplies, extra clothing. It wouldn’t have taken him long to throw the stuff in a duffel and go. I won’t even go into the fight at the hole. When they got to the jeep he would have called the police and at least one of his marine buddies for a ride when they found the tires slashed. Honor is beaten, has broken ribs, is exhausted, and scared. A true marine would have called for support not encouraged her to race through the woods to safety. After that I was pretty happy with the book, even if Honor was overly stubborn at times. The only other problem I had with the story was this, nobody with multiple broken ribs is having that much sex, let alone wild sex. Lol, but I guess that’s romance for you. I would rate the book 3.5 stars almost 4. The military stuff is just a pet peeve of mine.
