Following the trails of history.
It was a little slow starting but I came to love the characters.
These books have been my favorite lately read all in this collection and can’t wait for more of her books.
Enjoyed.
Historical fiction at it’s best! Author reveals the essence of God’s grace.
I enjoyed reading about these amazing women and their very different back-stories. While they may be fictional, the struggles they faced were common for the times and was eye opening.
I love faith based books. This was another inspiring book.
Enjoyed having 3 books together with similar intrest
I like reading books that are based on history. These books were believable in that it could of happened.
Enjoyed reading about this time period and how it affected three very different people.
Strong women, I care care true to life. Historically realistic.

I read it almost without stopping. It was such a well written family tragidy.
Light reading, nice characters.
From the first page of “The River Girl’s Song”, the heartache that leads Zillia to depend more and more heavily on the God she was raised to believe in, goes deeper and deeper to help her make the decisions she must to survive. It gave me a new feeling for the pain that these pioneer women endured daily and gratitude and pride that our forebears came through such pain with fortitude. Angela Castillo’s respect for the Native American culture shines through as she spins these romances set in a time of different peoples coming to live together. I felt the joy these people must have felt in the simple, rugged ways they lived, but also the fear, as changes occurred. Soonie, in the second book, “The Comanche Girl’s Prayer” is a girl with blood from two warring races. One quarter Comanche, but raised in a white town, she often feels she doesn’t belong anywhere. She leaves with her uncle Isak to teach a group of renegade Comanche/Kiowa children to read and write. Knowing that many don’t wish her there she embraces her mother’s blood and follows the path on which God leads her. All of these books focus on the love and protection of God for His earthly children, but in the third book of the trilogy, “The Saloon Girl’s Journey”, His redemption is paramount. Darla runs from her shady past, but can’t hide. As in real life, God brings her sins to light and shows her she is not alone and that He can forgive all, because He loves us. Angela Castillo is an author I can recommend who encourages us to remember the strength of the women in this country who came before us.
I liked the informative story about Sunnie…I had no idea about the need of the Indians to hide and to fear for their lives and safety. Sad. Informative. Thanks
I read & loved each of these outstanding stories, by this wonderful artist! I can’t wait to read AC’s next true-2-life Historical Christian Western Romance. You’ll easily get wrapped up in the characters lives, just like I did. Get it, you won’t be disappointed!
Enjoyed this series very much.
This set of books was very inviting reads. I loved the western setting and how the characters faced daily struggles. However a taste of romance is worked in with each story. This group of books was hard to put down!
