Their love never died, but her secrets could break his trust beyond repair.
Texas Montgomery Mavericks, Book 1
After six years and too much self-recrimination, rancher Mitch Landry is ready to admit he was wrong. He’d loved Olivia Montgomery but commitment wasn’t high on his list back then. That was his first mistake. He’s just divorced his second, and he’s set to do whatever it takes to … whatever it takes to convince Olivia to give him another try.
Through hard work, determination and more than a few tears, Olivia survived the break-up with Mitch. She’s rebuilt her life around her business and the son she loves more than life itself. She’s not proud of the mistakes she’s made–particularly the secrets she’s kept–but when life hands you manure, you use it to make something better of yourself…lest you get stuck in it.
At a hot, muggy Dallas wedding, they reconnect. Olivia’s first instinct is to play it cool, but after one devastating kiss things flare real out of control, real fast. Maybe a quick roll in the hay will get him out of her system once and for all. Funny thing about hay though, once it’s tangled in your hair, getting it out risks revealing things that were never meant to see the light of day.
Warning: Contains hot sex, a vindictive ex-wife, and hot chocolate chip cookies.

Sultry, smart, and deeply emotional, a story by Cynthia D’Alba is not to be missed.
Nice to read. Feel Good at end.
True love never runs smooth and this is one such story. Great characters who have explosive chemistry, but managed to get it all wrong and are now going for an encore. Will secrets destroy their chance to finally get everything right?
Luscious, romantic and sensual, D’Alba’s debut gives readers everything theycould want in a passionate contemporary romance.
The benefit of making mistakes is the lessons we learn from them, but this couple was a hot mess. Olivia, allowed a broken heart to cloud her judgment. While Mitch allowed grief to almost ruin his life. Each was too busy playing the blame game that they allowed outside machinations to ruin a chance at happiness. Joanna was a spiteful, manipulative, heartless human being. Her sense of entitlement broke hearts and ruined the lives of more than just herself. To use a child to further her agenda, sealed her fate in my eyes. Texas Two Step steams up the bookshelf with the love – hate relationship, Ms. D’Alba created.
I enjoyed reading “Texas Two Step (Whispering Springs, Texas #1)” by Cynthia D’Alba. In this first book of the series Mitch and Olivia reconnect at a mutual friends wedding. They knew each other 6 years before, but when he left to go home because his brother had died he ended up marrying his brother’s girlfriend, and Olivia ended up marrying someone else. Fast forward and both are now divorced. They’ve reconnected on a physical level but both have to deal with the fact that they married other people, and she has yet to tell him that she has a son named Adam. Mitch finds out about Adam because of an accident, and he knows right away that Adam is his son. They have lots to work on together, especially trust, before their able to move on with each other.
Twists and turns made for interest when a
Cowboy and old flame meet again. A son gets
Them together again.
Loved it
Enjoyed it very much. Wonderful quick read. Recommend it
Olivia wanted to be anywhere but at the airport picking up Mitch. However, Emily the bride-to-be was very persuasive. Mitch was as attractive as she remembered but he is a temptation she doesn’t need.
Mitch has grown up a lot since he broke up with Olivia, his divorce was the crowning moment of his biggest mistake. He’s hoping to reconnect with Olivia and maybe take things where they belong.
In spite of a very sensuous and sizzling reunion, Olivia walks away. She has a really big secret, one she has sworn many people to silence. This secret can make or break these new feelings she has for Mitch.
Mitch knows she’s hiding something, and he’s wondering who is this mysterious Adam. He rushes to be with her when she’s taken to the hospital after a fall leaving the wedding reception.
His reaction is priceless when he realizes just who Adam is, and there are so many conflicting emotions.
Olivia has a lot of explaining to do as Mitch pushes to have both her and Adam, join him on his ranch for her recovery.
A conniving ex-wife adds to the already rampant drama as this story unfolds.
You’d think they’d understand that communication is key, but so many secrets for so many years make that difficult.
Plenty of angst, tears, laughter and heat!
Second Chances
Mitch flies into Dallas for a friend’s wedding. Olivia get a call from her friend Eve, the bride to please pick up Mitch at the airport. They haven’t seen each other in 6 years. She holds a secret, he still loved her. They reconnect at the rehearsal. She gets injured running from him after the wedding. Now he is going to take care of her and find out a secret 6 years in the making.
If you are a fan of cowboys and secret baby stories, you’re going to love this one.
Six years ago, Mitch and Olivia were hot and heavy and very much in love. Mitch realizes that he isn’t ready to settle down and breaks things off. But things go from bad to worst and in the middle of it, she finds out she is pregnant with Mitch’s baby. She decided to not tell him and move on with her life. An encounter 6 years later brings it all full circle.
There were so many things I liked about this book. I loved Olivia and Adam and individuals and also at a mother-son team. Olivia has had a few ups and downs in her life but her one constant is her love for her son and it shows.
I liked Mitch and Olivia together as a couple. It was really hot to read about them trying and failing to resist each other after so many years.
The one person I hated with a passion was Joanna. You have to read the book to find out why. I also was angry at Mitch concerning her. He should have kicked her out and been much more forceful with her knowing what he knew.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. How can you go wrong with another cowboy story. It involved a few characters but was easy to follow along. Mitch and Olivia dated but they were young and went separate ways. This is a story that reconnects them together after being apart for almost six years, and the ups and downs they had to face along the way.
Definitely a romance with pretty people, but a good solid read for a little romance.
I just recently started reading books by this author, and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. This one is my favorite.
The story centers around Olivia Montgomery and Mitch Landry. They were very much in love but Mitch, being older than Olivia and not ready to settle, left her 6 years ago so she could date others. Shortly after, his brother dies leaving a pregnant girlfriend, and Mitch feels it’s his duty to marry Joanna. Not knowing that Olivia was pregnant.
When they see each other six years later, the chemistry is immediate, neither is married, but Olivia has secrets .
There is lots of drama, misunderstanding, jealousy , hurt and issues of trust. Will they get a second chance or will doubts, half truths, and outside influences destroy that chance?
A well written and engaging story with complex characters that will keep you reading till late at night.
Can’t wait to see what else the author has in store in book two of this series.
I really liked this book but it had me guessing about the end, it turned out to be a very good ending.
It was a very romantic and easy read book
some what hard to believe situations
Loved this book!
Please offer book number 2 in the series. Would love to read more in the series.
