Too dragged out
You never know when your world will turn upside down. New York chef Scarlett loses her mother, her job and gets threatened with jail time all in a matter of a few months. Following her heart to her new found roots in small town Sweetgrass she hope to find out about her mother’s past. What she finds is a big lovable cowboy in Ian and that her grandmother needs her help with her diner. Jean Brashear does write a good story with the emotional draw we need to find happiness. The ending was a bit abrupt but still, it gives you reason to continue with the series.

Scarlett lives in NY and had a restaurant until it was resided because her boyfriend was laundering money through it. She has to rum because the bad guys are after her. She find in her deceased mother’s box of belongings is that she has a grandmother in TX. She heads there. Ian is the town good guy and helps her when she tries to leave town and gets a flat. Lot’s of things happen, one good thing Scarlett finds family.
